Abstract: A structure is designed to fasten spokes with a bicycle wheel rim and is formed of a fastening hole disposed in an inner side of the bicycle wheel rim, a fitting body having a head, a threaded shank, and a through hole extending through the head and the threaded shank which is engaged with a nut. One end of the spoke is fastened with the bicycle wheel rim by a spoke end fastener which is received in the through hole of the fitting body, with the fitting body being fitted into the fastening hole such that the head of the fitting body is located securely in the fastening hole.

Abstract: A process and a device for the on-line storage of sets of flat products such as, in particular, disposable liners or sanitary napkins, in which said products are transported between one or more input stations and one or more output stations. The sets are introduced at a given input rate at input station or stations between a pressing device, capable of moving with the sets, the pressing device being in a first, so-called open, configuration. The products are pressed against one another by causing the pressing device to change over from their open configuration to a second, so-called product holding, configuration. The sets are directed towards the output station or stations at which they are ejected, at a given output rate, adapted as a function of the input rate, to manage an accumulation of sets between the input station or stations and the output station or stations.

Abstract: A method of operating a life support system for an aircraft, the system including a plurality of oxygen supply apparatus, each of which in use is operable to supply product gas, which may be pure oxygen or oxygen enriched gas, to a breathing gas supply apparatus, at least one of the oxygen supply apparatus being a main oxygen supply apparatus and the remainder of the oxygen supply apparatus being auxiliary oxygen supply apparatus, the main oxygen supply apparatus being operable independently of the auxiliary oxygen supply apparatus, characterized in that the method includes operating the main oxygen supply apparatus and supplying product gas to each of the auxiliary oxygen supply apparatus.

Abstract: A bonded monostrand post-tension system including an anchor having a tubular extension extending therefrom, a duct having an interior passageway formed therein, a coupler having a one end affixed to the tubular extension of the anchor and another end affixed to the duct, and a single tendon secured to the anchor and extending through the duct and the coupler. The coupler has a first internal thread at one end thereof and a second internal thread at an opposite end thereof. The internal threads are in interference-fit relationship with unthreaded surfaces of the duct and the tubular extension of the anchor.

Abstract: A domestic nanofiltration membrane based water purifier without a storage tank. The water purifier according to the present invention uses a nanofiltration membrane filter as a main filtering section and does not have a storage tank for containment of purified water. Although conventional reverse osmosis membrane based water purification systems provide good quality water, they have problems in that installation of the storage tanks due to insufficient flow rate results in the increased volumes of water purifiers, and at the same time, secondary pollution may be caused by microorganism propagation upon prolonged storage. In this regard, the present invention provides a domestic nanofiltration membrane based water purifier without a storage tank, in which a nanofiltration membrane filter with a pore size of approximately 0.1 to 10 nm is used as a main filtering section.

Abstract: A multipurpose machine for close-row production of tree or shrub plantations, such as vineyards or orchards includes a working head including a rotor powered by a motor and designed for receiving at least two interchangeable tools. The invention also includes a meshing guide peripherally configured to mesh with the foot of trees or shrubs and arranged above the tools, the meshing guide being capable of rotating at a speed different from that of the rotor and having, viewed from the direction of said axis, the general shape of a notched disc having at its periphery alternating notches and projecting parts, the length of the operating radius of the rotary tools being not more than that of the radius of a circle tangent to the base of the notches of the guide, which can thereby, in operation, successively mesh with the base of the trees or shrubs, when coming in contact with the latter.

Abstract: An electronic stabilizer includes a high frequency output transformer which is connected in a primary side with a frequency modulation/power amplifying circuit, and in a secondary side with a plurality of high frequency ballasts and capacitors. The ballasts and the capacitors are matched in accordance with voltage and current of a plurality of lamps without affecting the frequency modulation/power amplifying circuit. The high frequency output transformer is capable of adjusting to output a desired voltage.

Abstract: A method of producing difluoromethane (HFC-32), which includes firstly reacting methylene chloride with hydrogen fluoride in gas phase at 280 to 340° C. in the presence of a fluorination catalyst to produce chlorofluoro methane, and secondly reacting the chlorofluoro methane with hydrogen fluoride in liquid phase at 60 to 80° C. in the presence of an antimony chloride catalyst. The method is advantageous in that HFC-32 is produced in high yield under mild reaction conditions using a relatively small amount of energy.

Abstract: A compact disc container comprises a shell body and a plurality of disc pockets disposed in a hollow interior of the shell body. The shell body is provided in a left side and a right side with accordion pleats. The disc pockets are formed of a nonwoven middle layer and two plastic film outer layers. The middle layer and the two outer layers are joined at adjoining left edges and right edges with an outer fusion line and an inner fusion line. Located between the outer fusion line and the inner fusion line of one of the two outer layer is a slit. The disc pockets are fastened with the left side and the right side of the shell body such manner that the slit is corresponding to a tip of the accordion pleats, and that the outer fusion line is joined with a face of the accordion pleats.

Abstract: A coupler apparatus for use with tendon-receiving duct in a segmental precast concrete structure including a coupler body having an interior passageway for receiving the duct therein. The coupler body has a generally U-shaped channel formed at one end thereof. The coupler element has a connector element formed on interior thereof adjacent one end of the coupler body so as to allow the coupler element to receive a variety of implements for the formation of the precast concrete segment.

Abstract: An leaf stripping apparatus for stripping vines has a stripping head with a grid-type rotating suction drum rotatably mounted about a generally vertical axis, a suction cooperative with the stripping head for generating an air flow through the perforated cylindrical side wall of the suction drum, a channeling structure formed on the stripping head for channeling the air flow through the changing portion of the side of the suction drum, and a cutter affixed to the stripping head adjacent the changing portion of the side wall. The cutter is arranged generally parallel to the vertical axis of rotation of the rotating suction drum. The drum is suitable for positioning directly against the vine during movement of the stripping head therealong.

The table supporting device is passed through the vertical hole of the table holding mechanism. A vertical bolt is threadedly engaged with the table holding mechanism. A lower end of the vertical bolt is in contact with a base portion of the table so as to maintain the table at a desired angle.
