  • Patent number: 5439062
Abstract: A combination hoof pad and horseshoe which raises the horse's heel and at the same time supports the coffin bone. The pad is wedge-shaped to be higher at the heel and lower at the toe. An insert support is located on the bottom of the pad such that it presses upwardly from the ground line to give support to the center of the coffin bone. The shoe portion of the remedial pad and shoe combination is provided with replaceable high heels thus raising the hoof heel to relax the flexor tendons. Relaxing the flexor tendons reduces pull on the coffin bone.

  • Patent number: 5295336
Abstract: Post anchoring and quick release device (10) having a lower post attachment section (20) and an upper anchoring section (22). the device (10) is an elongated, generally rectangular body having in the lower section at least one opening (40,42) in one configuration and at least one opening (66,68) in another configuration and a nail hole (48,50,74,76) beneath each said opening. The nail holes are separated from the openings either by a web (52,54) or a restricted slit (78,80). The device is attached to a post by nails and when the post is to be removed from the ground a bar (B) is used to strike an offset release surface (28) to rupture the web against the nail or to allow the nail so slide through the restricted slit (78,80). In the one the nail is bent down as the device is forced down and in the other the nail slides free of the nail without contacting the nail. The post can then be lifted vertically such that the nail slides free of the device.

  • Patent number: 5277033
Abstract: A self contained mobile refrigerant recovery and purification system in which refrigerant is withdrawn through a filter/dryer in liquid or vapor phase and then to a holding tank through a heat exchanger located within the tank. The flow of the recovered refrigerant through the heat exchanger is utilized to regulate the pressure within the tank, reducing the pressure to effect withdrawal and elevating the pressure to effect recharging of the serviced refrigeration system. After refrigerant withdrawal is complete, liquid refrigerant within the holding tank is cycled from the holding tank through the filter/dryer and back to the holding tank. The reclaimed refrigerant can then be transferred back to the serviced system in either liquid or vapor form as desired. Between recovery jobs the recovery system can be cleansed out by cycling a cleansed and pumped out by cycling a clean refrigerant through the filter/dryer and the holding tank.
