  • Patent number: 4294657
Abstract: The apparatus for manufacturing the fiberboard is in the form of two vertically opposed endless conveyors upon each of which a fiber layer is formed. Each conveyor has a slanted running portion as a part thereof. A suction box is disposed along the inner surface of each of the slanted running portions so that a fiber layer producing section is formed in each slanted portion. A passage is formed between the conveyors to direct a slurry flow of fibers along each conveyor. The relative speeds of the slurry flow through the passage along the surface of the conveyors is adjusted to be different than the running speed of the conveyors; a supply duct for the slurry flow is disposed in the center of said passage and has an outlet near the upper ends of the fiber layer forming sections. The two layers simultaneously formed can be placed upon each other to form a single layer of fiberboard.

  • Patent number: 4293982
Abstract: A tool for opening fiber bales in which a plurality of axially spaced blades are mounted coaxially on a shaft. Each of the blades has a periphery provided with projecting sawteeth which engage the fibers of a bale to be opened. Each of the sawteeth is bounded by two flanks which include a predetermined angle between themselves. There is also a predetermined circumferential spacing between the tips of successive fronts of the sawteeth. A leading flank and a trailing flank are arranged so that the leading flank is inclined in the direction of rotation. The angle of inclination of the leading flank with reference to a straight-line intersecting the tip of the respective tooth and to the axis of rotation of the shaft, is smaller than a predetermined angle. The tips of the sawteeth may face forwardly in the direction of rotation of the shaft.

  • Patent number: 4294132
Abstract: A cylindrical gear wheel having helical teeth with different pitch diameters for the left hand and right hand sides of the teeth and convergent line of teeth in which one side of the teeth are characterized by positive values of addendum modification while the other side of the teeth has negative values of addendum modification. By positive addendum modification is meant an addition to the nominal pitch diameter to obtain the pitch diameter at one side of a tooth and by negative addendum modification is meant a substration from the nominal pitch diameter to obtain the pitch diameter of the other side of the tooth. In the range of normal values of tooth pitch (mn) from 2 to 6 mm or normal tooth module the angular difference of inclination between the left hand and right hand sides of the teeth is within the range of 30' to 3.degree. for pitch diameters up to 500 mn and the addendum modification values are in the range from 0.01 to 4 mn.

  • Patent number: 4294166
Abstract: A breadmaking method and apparatus particularly adapted for household use. A combined trough and baking-pan unit is removably mounted on a lift table arranged in the oven and, when raised, is automatically covered by a downwardly spring-biased closure member and receives a measured amount of water as allowed to fall down through the bottom port of a water tank provided above and through holes formed in the closure member. Also provided are agitator means which are operable to act upon the mixture in the combined trough and baking pan unit raised. For fermentation and degassing of the dough thus formed in the unit, the lift table is lowered to its bottom position and held there for an appropriate length of time and thereafter the oven temperature is raised to a suitable level.
