  • Patent number: 7409730
Abstract: A method and apparatus for holding a shirt collar in a desired position and orientation, magnetically, against a shirt front. The apparatus includes a collar stay insertable into a conventional collar stay pocket or attachable to an inside surface of a collar, and a magnet magnetically attachable or couplable to the collar stay through the shirt front, and the pocket, if applicable, for holding the shirt collar in the selected position and orientation. The collar stay and the magnet can be optionally interlockable and/or include detents for preventing undesired relative movements thereof, which can include particularly, relative longitudinal movements, but which can also include twisting and sideward movements. For collars which do not include any collar stay pocket, or where a collar stay pocket is not desired to be used, the collar stay can include an adhesive on an outer surface thereof adapted for adhesive attachment to the inside surface of a collar.

  • Patent number: 7371149
Abstract: The feed system (30) for a honing machine (10) provides a capability to dynamically correct in real time errors in bore size inferred arising from variations in feed force, and a method of operation of the same. The system (10) allows a user to select between rate and force controlled honing modes, which provides one or more of the advantages of both modes. The system provides capabilities for automatic rapid automatic bore wall detection, compensation for elasticity of elements of the feed system (30) and honing tool (14), and automatic tool protection. The system is automatically operable using feed force, feed rate and positional information for honing a work piece (20) to one or more target parameters, such as one or more in-process sizes and a final size.

  • Patent number: 7328512
Abstract: A self-contained vacuum circular saw is presented. The vacuum saw has a casing around the saw blade that includes an accordion type lower section attached to the lower platform of the saw. A number of vacuum tubes, preferably four, are attached to the side of the circular saw opposite the blade. The armature of the circular saw that turns the blade also turns the vacuum impeller on the side opposite the blade. An impeller vacuum chamber pulls in the dust and debris created by the saw blade and discharges the dust and debris into a disposable and removable vacuum bag. An important aspect of this device is that the motor that turns the saw blade also turns the impeller, thus making the self-contained vacuum Saw moveable from site to site.

  • Patent number: 7325357
Abstract: An improved fishing lure which produces, transmits and modulates high frequency vibrations. The high frequency tone wire vibration is actuated upon impact of a striker against the wall of an essentially watertight housing. As the striker oscillates within the housing, high frequency vibrations and sound waves emanate from the tone wire. This invention also includes a noisemaker component specifically designed using a tone wire and a striker which can be incorporated into existing fishing lures.

  • Patent number: 7296959
Abstract: A deer-stand and deer-carrier rack for an ATV enables a hunter to transport a deer-stand and to easily transport a deer using an ATV. U-clamps and adjustable attaching bars attach a deer-carrier rack to the rear of an ATV. The essentially rectangular frame of the deer-stand rack has a rearwardly facing oblique pair of arms and a pair of frontwardly facing L-shaped brackets. The rearwardly facing arms can carry a deer stand while the frontwardly facing L-shaped bracket holders can carrier different types of hunting gear. A deer carrier is also adjustably attachable to the front carrier of an ATV. The deer carrier has a rectangular frame, which is attached to the carrier of the ATV, and a hinged lower frame that folds down when the deer is to be loaded. The lower hinged frame also has wings to accommodate the deer. Once the deer is loaded onto the lower carrier in the horizontal position, the lower carrier is lifted upwardly to an essentially vertical position.

  • Patent number: 7146887
Abstract: An automatically adjustable locking pliers includes an upper jaw fixed to a handle and lower jaws that pivot about the handle. The lower jaws are connected to a lower tightening handle. A lever connects the tightening handle and upper body. This is the standard structure of locking pliers well known in the industry. The improvement includes a self-adjusting sizing and locking mechanism A thumb jaw sizing lever is located near the jaws and may be moved to open the jaws so that they can be sized around a workpiece. When the thumb jaw lever is released, the jaws automatically size and clamp lightly around the workpiece. The sizing lever and locking mechanism operate together to automatically size and lock the pliers. An adjusting screw in the lower handle near a pivot point sets the clamping force. Turning the screw adjusts the tension of the pliers for gripping the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 7086193
Abstract: A highly portable, motorized deer decoy uses a head motor to rotate the head of the decoy approximately 125 degrees, simulating the movement of the head of a live deer. The head and front torso of the deer decoy each have plates attached. The head plate can be attached or removed from a middle plate. The head motor is attached to the lower plate and rotates the middle plate. The head portion and legs of the deer decoy may be completely detached from the body. The detachability of the head and legs provides a compact and highly mobile deer decoy that may be readily transported, assembled and operated. The decoy also has another bleat motor that enables the hunter to simulate the bleating of a deer in the woods. The movement of the deer's head and the operation of the bleating device may be remotely controlled by a hand-held remotely controlled signaling device.
