Abstract: A free weight, tricep exercise apparatus comprising a cross bar handle attached perpendicularly to one end of an arched support member and a post for holding weight lifting plates attached at the other end of the arched support member. The apparatus is used in a manner analogous to the dumbbell tricep curl exercise except the weights are positioned much lower allowing for greater stability and safer operation. Also, the device affords the user the opportunity to rest the weight of the user's back and legs be merely bending forward.

Abstract: Closures for double pipe and hairpin-type heat exchangers that permits opening the tube side of the closure without losing the shell side fluids or seal. A threaded thrust ring is positioned between the shell side flange and the tube side flange and integrally connected with the tube sheet. Each connection bolt through the flange has a shoulder or threads interconnecting with the thrust ring for applying a force to maintain the seal between the shell side flange and the tube sheet.

Abstract: An overflow vent valve comprising a housing adapted to be installed wherein it is desirable to release excessive gas pressure from a flow system while precluding the discharge of liquid therefrom, a normally closed pressure responsive check valve disposed within the housing, a ported cage secured to the check valve and suspended within the interior of the housing for communication fluid pressure from the housing to the check valve, and a lightweight ball loosely disposed within the interior of the ported cage for floating on the surface of any liquid present within the interior of the cage, the ball adapted to engage a second valve seat provided on the check valve in the event the level of the liquid rises sufficiently within the cage, the engagement of the lightweight valve with the second valve seat precluding the discharge of liquid from the overflow vent valve assembly.

Abstract: A device for mechanically welding a tube to a tube sheet having holes into which the tube is placed. A detonator is provided for detonating explosives for generating gas at a high pressure. A barrel having a perforated section is attached to the detonator for receiving the generated gas. An external disc-shaped stop surrounds the barrel for contacting an area of the tube sheet surrounding the hole. A disc-shaped internal stop is positioned on the barrel at the end of the perforated section opposite the external stop so that gas is mostly confined inside the tube between the external and internal stops.

Abstract: A convertable doll having means to change from one character to another without adding to or removing any object. The doll is formed of a body having a face thereon providing one character. A loose fitting outer garment is received on the body, the garment having an open type lower portion such as a robe, skirt, dress or the like. An inverted skirt-type flexible member is received on the doll lower portion under the outer garment and has on the underneath side thereof elements forming an upper body, face and outer head features and having a second pair of arms, the flexible members being invertable over the doll body head portion to encompass the head portion and the doll body arms, the lower portion of the outer garment being receivable in the inverted flexible member, the inverted flexible member thereby forming a second head and face forming a second character.

Abstract: The apparatus of this invention is a system which is attached to a standard telephone instrument at a receiving station. When a call comes from a transmitting station through a switching station, this call is received in this apparatus, which signals the transmitting station to send its private code. After validating this code, it serves to indicate information about the transmitting station. The receiving station then has the option to answer or not to answer.

Abstract: This is a holder for shotgun pattern paper. The shot pattern of a shotgun is most important to a hunter. This invention provides a way to determine that pattern for any shotgun. A three-part circular or four-part square holder is supported above the ground by two spaced apart support members. The parts are held together by unique clamp. Clips are provided about the periphery of the square or circular ring for holding paper. A shotgun is then fired at the paper from the selected distance and the pattern of the shot can be seen on the paper.

Abstract: A rear deck spoiler wing for attaching to a '84.sup.+ model Corvette involving an air foil supported on a pair of closely spaced, essentially vertical, centrally located struts and base plate that bolts to the original bolt pattern of the Corvette gas cap lid. Such a spoiler can be readily attached to and subsequently removed from a Corvette without altering the Corvette or interfering with the original top loading of the fuel, yet the wing can reside directly above the rear deck and fuel inlet.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for drilling deep boreholes in the earth, comprising a sub-base structure, a drawworks platform supported on four legs hinged both to the sub-base structure and to the drawworks platform and when in lowered position extends away from a first end of the sub-base: A mast hinged to the sub-base structure by two legs and in the lowered position extends away from the second end of the sub-base; a pulling means has a sheave through which a slingline cable is passed, and the two ends of the cable are separately connected between the mast at a selected point, and a pulley mounted on the drawworks platform so that in one continuous pulling motion of the pulling means, the drawworks platform is first raised into vertical position, and then the mast is lifted until both parts are fully erected on the sub-base.

Abstract: An earth scraper for use with a small tractor having a draw bar, the scraper being formed of a generally horizontal frame, the forward end being attachable to a ball hitch or the like on the draw bar of a tractor, the frame supporting an elongated blade of semi-circular, cross-sectional configuration providing a concave forward surface and a convex rearward surface, the top edge of the blades being pivotally secured to the frame and the bottom edge forming a scraping edge, skids affixed to each end of the blade extending in a vertical plane perpendicular the blade longitudinal axis, each skid having an arcuate forward end and an elongated flat bottom surface which is slightly elevationally above the blade scraping edge, and a lever for rotationally adjusting the blade relative to the frame.

Abstract: This invention relates to a wheel supported heavy load carrying vehicle which comprises a frame upon which a load may be supported. The frame includes a structural cross-member. Unlike the prior art, the spherical bearing is made an integral part of the cross-member. An axle box assembly is used to support the wheels which support the bulk of the load. The box assembly has a nose cone which has a concave bearing which mates with the spherical bearing on the structural cross-member.
