  • Patent number: 4823530
Abstract: A facade is heat-insulated by a number of synthetic resin foam panels extending in at least two horizontal facade regions one above the other, and being internally ventilated by ducts extending preferably at an angle of about 45.degree. with a horizontal plane and intersecting each other. Between the two facade regions there extends horizontally a flame barrier having the configuration of a beam and containing barrier ducts each of which connects a ventilating duct in the lower facade region with another ventilating duct in the upper facade region. A groove or channel extending longitudinally in the beam can intersect the barrier ducts and have an open end which is preferably directed downwardly so that a fire in the lower facade region will cause a uniform heating of the groove and adjacent barrier ducts. Blocking agents, e.g.

  • Patent number: 4749130
Abstract: A shower system comprising an elongated tubular conduit having several windings arranged in helix formation with a central helix axis disposed vertically is used by persons to shower. Perforations having an outlet size of about 0.8 mm.sup.2 are located in the inner sidewalls of the windings which sides face toward the central helix axis. A length of the spraying extends over a length of about 10 to 20 meters so that the internal helix space houses a person standing or sitting therein. The temperature of the water ejected from the perforations can be raised so high and can be sustained for so long that the person taking such a shower undergoes a sauna effect. This sauna effect is provided by a distance between adjacent perforations, in the spraying zone, of about 2.5 to 10 centimeters (or 200 to 400 over the entire spraying zone).

  • Patent number: 4585353
Abstract: A process for the preparation and immediate use in situ of ready to use blends of structural material, such as plaster, mortar, stucco, tile adhesive or similar blends, which, in contrast to the usual methods does not use as a raw material a dry mixture of the three main components binder, filler and additives. Instead a dry mix of binder and filler is prepared at the building site, and an aqueous solution of the additives is added in a separate mixing operation, immediately followed by the application in situ of the finished blend. This method avoids the difficulties associated with the use of dry mixtures containing all three components. The invention includes an apparatus for mixing and immediate application of the blends as defined by the process claims.

  • Patent number: 4532690
Abstract: A process is described for producing a valve-and-lid assembly composed of a lid and a valve body each of which has a determined configuration and is produced separately in finished condition, the valve body from a synthetic resin of physical properties similar to those of Hytrel, with a Shore hardness of about 78 to 92 when the valve body is to be assembled with an upper body portion resting on the outer lid face about a collar of the lid; and of about 70 to 92 when the valve body is to be introduced completely into the lid collar. The valve body is then placed partially into the collar, or on the mandrel of a pressure piston, and then abruptly struck by the piston to be rammed fully into the collar and stretched so that a lower head of the valve body is moved downwardly just out of a central lid opening at an internal collar end. The mandrel is then withdrawn, permitting the valve body to contract whereby its head sealingly engages the rim about the central opening of the collar.

  • Patent number: 4524502
Abstract: A tongs for inserting curtain carriers into a curtain rail comprises two arms having inward end faces turned toward one another. A cross bar of the curtain carrier rests upon rail shoulders to the left and right of a rail slot, and an upright bar of the carrier extends downwardly through the slot and bears a ring part therebelow. Each arm has a recess open at the top, and a bottom face extending transversely to, its inward face. The tong arms engage and hold fast in their recesses a curtain carrier from below. Each arm end comprises a centering plug protruding therefrom toward the opposite face so that, when the curtain carrier is seized between the arm ends of the closed tongs, the centering plugs penetrate with their free ends into the opening of the carrier ring part and hold the carrier fast on the bottom faces.

  • Patent number: 4493444
Abstract: A valve-and-lid assembly comprises a self-closing discharge valve constituted by a dome part, having a central opening, of a lid closing the open top end of a pressurized container and serving as the obturating member of the valve by obturating ducts through a valve disc of elastically resilient material which is lodged in the dome part. When opening the valve by downward or tilting pressure exerted with the aid of a tubulure or the like actuating member on the valve disc, the latter is deformed so as to establish free communication between at least one of the ducts therein and the hollow interior of the tubulure which can carry a conventional atomizer head having a spray nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4487334
Abstract: By the displacement, depending on the pressure change in the container (22), of a piston (8) in order to open or obturate a bore (9) in the product conduit (7), the amount of product flowing per unit of time through the opened valve (1) is maintained constant even when the pressure in the container (22) diminishes. The piston (8) is so displaced by the pressure prevailing in the container (22) via a diaphragm (12) against a restoring force (21) that the bore (9) defines, at the time of the highest pressure prevailing in the container (22), a smallest predetermined opening for the product flow. By an adequate choice of the shape of the bore (9), the thrust of the product flowing through the opened valve (1) can thereby be maintained constant, which leads to a constant quality of atomization of the product (23) through a spray nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4458830
Abstract: A container of rigid material comprises an appliance which employs the contractional force of an expanded rubber hose and expanded product container for the discharge of a medium stored therein. A hollow body of elastic material located in the axis of the product container is provided with a valve at one end through which it is inflated. The shape of the inner walls of the rigid container limits a radial, diagonal-radial and axial expansion of the appliance in a predetermined ratio, whereby the medium acts upon the inflated hollow body in such a way that the volume of the latter decreases, whereby its inner pressure increases and gives it a tendency to expand. If the squeezing pressure exerted by the rubber hose and the product container upon the medium decreases, the hollow body can expand accordingly and thus compensate the loss of contraction pressure.
