    Abstract: A system is provided which permits a display of ground conditions to the pilot through the use of a forward looking sensor set and uses signals generated from the aircraft to simulate ground aid signals which are used for automatic landing of the aircraft. General flight path angle and course aim point corrections are made from the cockpit of the aircraft and are adjustable as the flight progresses. Most of the systems today that have fixed path capability to ground intercepts are based on ground installed equipment. This system can establish the inertial flight path track internally to the aircraft and provides an automatic landing system which allows the pilot to concentrate on the visibility of the forward scene to confirm the safe progress of the landing.

    Abstract: In an aircraft control system a standby cable system which does not significantly affect existing control system friction, but detects when the primary cables are severed and actuates an alternative elevator control mechanism. The standby cable loop of the instant invention consists of two similar type mechanisms located outside the uncontained rotor or propeller shrapnel area. One mechanism attaches to the primary cables and is located forward of the engine and the other is located aft. Each mechanism operates such that negligible friction is added because during normal control motions the standby cable loop does not move, only individual elements input cranks are in motion. The primary cables are provided with an index cable that is routed close to and parallel to the primary cables. In the event the engine shrapnel cuts the primary cables, the index cable will also be cut because of its close proximity to the primary cables and due to the fact it is of smaller size.

    Abstract: A dispenser for granulated or powdered materials which includes at least one container having an opening at the top thereof, a bottom to such container having a means for removing the contents of said container through said bottom, means for receiving said materials such as a receptacle which can be rotated to dump a predetermined amount of its contents to be mixed within said container, means for mixing said materials within said container, said mixing means further comprising an axle rotatably attached to said container having a plurality of vanes spaced apart from each other, extending radially outward from said axle and disposed such that the plane of each vane is not perpendicular to the axis of the axle, and a sieve in juxtaposition with said sleeve and a cover for said container whereby rotation of said vanes causes a mixing of the materials within the container and urges said mixtures through the sieve.

    Abstract: This invention relates generally to the fluid of water tanks. More specifically this invention relates to water tank structure and quick change fittings for tanks which are adapted for the storage and dispensing of drinking water although any liquid could be used. The instant invention is a tank structure and fitting which permits the use of a pump or compressed gas to force the liquid out of the tank by the compression of a bladder within the tank which causes the liquid to be dispensed out of the tank when the bladder is collapsed. The fitting is sufficiently wide to facilitate the insertion, support and removal of the bladder or multiple bladders into and out of the tank. The fitting further permits the use of an inner flexible bag which is insertable into the bladder and allows the entire tank to be easily sterilized by simple removal and replacement of the inner bag without the necessity of removal of the bladder itself.

    Abstract: The disclosed device uses an interconnect switch for the selective coupling of serial memory elements in series with other memory elements. A control unit may test elements, designate some of the elements as operable for use and designate other elements as spares. The memory system is defined by the states of interconnection which couple the memory elements either for operation or for sparing, and which uncouple the defective memory element from use in the system. Upon the failure of an element which is being used the control unit can switch out the defective memory cell and switch in a replacement element or simply bypass the defective element. This technique is particularly useful for wafer scale integration where a plurality of functional elements are contained on a single wafer; particularly in memory arrays which are individually addressable. However, this technique also allows the selective replacing of elements within the particular array to ensure the proper number of memory cells within the array.

    Abstract: A microprocessor with a two bus structure and modulo addressing hardware which converts any section of main memory into an apparent circular address space for use as a five-fold data register. The modulo addressing hardware has a capability for circularly loading data into a sequential order or accessing data repeatedly for the evaluation of recursive algorithms. Thus, the modulo addressing hardware is useful in the rapid processing of such recursive software algorithms and in the solution of various mathematical series. More generally, it is useful for the rapid access of any data in memory. The described microprocessor uses the modulo addressing hardware concurrently with the execution of data manipulation instructions. A 64 bit wide instruction allows control of both modulo addressing hardware and the microprocessor CPU in a single micro instruction.

    Abstract: The disclosed apparatus uses an associative memory technique for the selective coupling of circuit elements to a data bus wherein each element is assigned an associative address and is coupled to the data bus when it receives said address on its address lines. The apparatus further comprises a reconfiguration control unit for assigning associative addresses to all elements, allowing said elements to be addressed at random. When one function element is to be substituted for another, the reconfiguration control unit assigns the address of the replaced element to the replacing element. In this way, the user continues to use the same address, making an element replacement transparent to the user, thereby avoiding reprogramming by the user. In the preferred embodiment the associative address is stored in nonvolatile memory so that it will not be lost when power is turned off, but is electrically reprogrammable if necessary or desired.

    Abstract: An inertial trip valve actuated by vibration to close gas lines and the like in the event of earthquake for safety. Said valve is provided with an external reset. Said reset cannot be used to defeat the operation of the device by tying the reset handle because the reset action momentarily closes the valve. The valve comprises an inlet flapper valve and an outlet shear valve. Said flapper valve is closed under a spring load when an inertial trigger is tripped. Said flapper valve may be reset by an external handle which closes a shear valve during the reset operation thus preventing the defeat of the trigger operation.

A sleeve-type radiator can be provided with complementary threads therein so that the radiator can be threadedly engaged to the upper element portion. The depth and pitch of the threads can be changed to vary the heat transfer surface area obtainable between the engaged radiator and upper element portion.

More specifically a paint tank having an upper and lower chamber separated by a flexible diaphram. The water induces a pressure against the diaphram forcing the paint out of the upper chamber and through a valve to the application device. Further, a way of introducing water into the upper chamber is also provided such that the tank will clean itself when the paint has been removed.
