  • Patent number: 7762978
Abstract: An infusion sleeve of an ultrasonic vibrating needle. The sleeve is collapsible and serrated or scalloped at a distal end. Fluid flows through a passage between the needle and the infusion sleeve in a direction from the proximal end of the sleeve to a distal end of the sleeve. Upon reaching the distal end, the fluid emerges by flowing across valley formations that are between peak formations of the distal end of the infusion sleeve. The peak formations abut the exterior of the incision so that the fluid flow cools tissue at the incision and the needle.

  • Patent number: 7615953
Abstract: Controlling and adjusting of the operation of a device actuated by an electric motor are carried out by shutting down the electric power supply of said electric motor at a plurality of time intervals during the motor operation, measuring in the time interval the voltage supplied by the electric motor, comparing the value of the measured voltage with a reference value and, if required on the basis of said comparison, varying at least one parameter related to the functioning of the device in order to compensate possible deviations.

  • Patent number: 7340468
Abstract: An Internet-based directory information system for providing toll free telephone numbers and other company information based on product or service advertising. First and second web sites are configured with separate first and second graphic user interfaces for the entering of company information and search request information, respectively. A database correlates entered company information (including toll free telephone number) to advertising information, compares the company-provided advertising information to a search request-provided advertising information, and formulates a search result based on matches between the search request and the company-provided advertising information.

  • Patent number: 7320348
Abstract: A method of rejuvenating and preserving a forest by transforming wood waste. Tree species are identified in a forest area. Equipment is then selected or modified based on the identified tree species. Wood waste of the identified tree species is gathered and transformed into useful wood derived end products with the selected or modified equipment. The wood waste may be transformed into wood charcoal and used as a fuel in a furnace to heat a boiler to produce steam. The steam is used to drive a turbine that runs an electric generator to produce electricity to run equipment that transforms the wood waste.

  • Patent number: 7293826
Abstract: A folding chair includes first and second parts each having at least one leg, a total number legs of the first and second parts being at least three. A third part of the chair forms a seat and is pivotally connected to the first and second parts. A connecting assembly for pivotally connecting the first part to the second part is a piston assembly having a top end and a bottom end. The top end is pivotally connected to the first part to form a pivot at which the first part pivots relative to the second part between an open position and a closed position. The bottom end is connected to the second part. The connection between the top end and the first part forms the only physical connection between the first and second parts to eliminate cutting dangers to the user.

  • Patent number: 7241321
Abstract: An organically clean biomass fuel formed of mixture of a powder, which may be either dried, cellulosic product, wood charcoal powder, and/or a combination of the two, and a fluid, which may be vegetable oil, vegetable alcohol or a combination of the two. A centrifugal machine dries moist, cellulosic product and extracts black liquor. A grinder transforms the dried, cellulosic product into powder. Gum may be extracted from the vegetable oil or vegetable alcohol. A batch mixer or vibrating vessel mixes the powder and the fluid together; the fluid moisturizes the powder. Depending upon the relative amount of the fluid as compared to powder, the mixture will either be in a liquid cream state or a doughy state. If the latter, the mixture may be pressed into briquettes or ingots.

  • Patent number: 7172578
Abstract: A flexible sheath is attached to an end of a rigid extension tube. The other end of the rigid extension tube is connected with a surgical handpiece. Two flexible sheaths may be used—one as a barrier against contamination of aspiration tubing and the other as a barrier against contamination of irrigation tubing. This is effected by securing two rigid extension tubes between the surgical handpiece and an associated one of the aspiration and irrigation tubings. Each flexible sheath is collapsible and expandable so they may be expanded from a collapsed condition over the associated aspiration or irrigation tubings and secured in the expanded condition. The aspiration and/or irrigation tubings are connected to a cassette of a surgical pack.
