  • Patent number: 8088921
Abstract: The present invention describes a method for the synthesis of enantiomerically pure 3-amidinophenylalanine derivatives, which are used as pharmaceutically effective urokinase inhibitors, by starting from 3-cyanophenylalanine derivatives. The methods of manufacture comprising only one synthesis step lead to new intermediates, namely 3-hydroxyamidino- and 3-amidrazonophenylalanine derivatives. These intermediates or their acetyl derivatives can be reduced into the desired 3-amidino-phenylalanine derivatives under gentle conditions (H2 or ammonium formiate, Pd/C (approx. 10%), ethanol/water, room temperature, normal pressure or also H2, Pd/C, AcOH or HCl/ethanol, 1-3 bar) in excellent yields and in an enantiomeric excess of up to 99.9%.

  • Patent number: 8077114
Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the production of an electrically conductive structure on a carrier substrate comprising at least two conductor track portions spaced in a region of a width b over the entire width b at between 500 ?m and 1 ?m and a multi-layer film body. A conductive layer in the form of the conductor track portions is produced on the surface of the carrier substrate. A metallic coating forming the electrically conductive structure is deposited on the conductive layer by application of a flow of current in an electrolyte which contains a dissolved coating metal. In the production of the conductive layer the conductive layer is additionally produced in the form of conductor track extensions which are arranged on both sides of the conductor track portions and which are convexly curved away from the oppositely disposed conductor track portion.

  • Patent number: 8076297
Abstract: The present invention is related to a composition capable of inhibiting the growth of tumoral cells of different histological origins and of activated endothelial cells. The components of said compositions are polypeptide fragments of the serralisins, corresponding to the C-terminal fragment, from the internal metionine trough the end of the molecule, which could be combined among them and optionally with the prodigiosins that potentiate the antitumoral effect of the composition. The prodigiosins in the composition could be at a concentration of 0.1-100 nM. The anti-proliferative action of this composition is mediated by apoptotic mechanism. It's “in vivo” administration has antitumoral, antiangiogenic and protective effect against malignant tumors.

  • Patent number: 8063789
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for monitoring the maximum distance between two objects, in particular between a child and its guardian, with the aid of two transceivers, the first of which periodically transmits status messages of a particular transmission power to the second, wherein an alarm is triggered in the second transceiver if the reception of the status messages decrease, and wherein a statement of the transmission power is concomitantly transmitted in each status message, are distinguished by the fact that the transmission power to be used for the next status message is determined by comparing the reception power with the transmission power stated in a status message and is transmitted back to the first transceiver in a confirmation message.

  • Patent number: 8053949
Abstract: An electronic control device for a piezo-ceramic bending transducer designed as a trimorph, wherein a first voltage divider consisting of two resistor branches and powered by a first voltage source (Ust1) is provided, whose first resistor branch connects the first piezo-ceramic plate of the trimorph to its spacer layer. In addition, a second voltage divider is provided that consists of two resistor branches and the first resistor branch thereof connects the second piezo-ceramic plate of the trimorph to its spacer layer. The second resistor branch of the first voltage divider also forms the second resistor branch of the second voltage divider. Thus, by means of one voltage source, the one piezo-ceramic plate has an applied tensile stress and the other piezo-ceramic plate has an applied compressive stress, so that the flexural motion is reinforced by the two piezo-ceramic plates and thus only a small voltage has to be applied.
