Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for correcting laser illumination emitted from a laser light source, comprising a laser light source, which has linear emission sources that are arranged in a row in a first direction (X), whereby in addition, the emission sources that are arranged essentially in a row are at least partially offset relative to the row in a perpendicular direction (Y) in relation to the first direction (X). The assembly also comprises corrective elements, which can correct the laser illumination emitted from the laser light source in such a way that the spatial distortion of the laser illumination, caused by the offset position of the emission sources relative to the row, is compensated. According to the invention, the corrective elements are configured as a plate array that comprises a number of plate elements consisting of substantially plane-parallel plates that are transparent to the laser illumination used.

Abstract: A thin, plastic dispenser for discharging toothpicks, and/or mints through distinct discharge passages in the dispenser. The dispenser has a body comprising a first housing and a second housing that are aligned and snapped together to form the body of the dispenser. A well is defined in the body for storing toothpicks, and a first discharge passage is provided in the well. A larger chamber is defined in the body for storing mints, and a second discharge passage is provided in the chamber. Locking levers, integrally formed with one of the housings, normally seal the discharge passages in the well and the chamber. When the user wishes to discharge a toothpick and/or mint, the manually engages a locking lever and pivots same about its hinge line to expose the adjacent discharge passage. The contents of the well and/or chamber can then be discharged, through the exposed discharge passages vacated by the movement of the locking lever.
Abstract: An intrusion detection system and method utilizing a power transmission cable connected to a source of radio frequency signals. A data transmission cable is associated with the power transmission cable and is provided with a plurality of radio frequency identification chips. The power transmission cable would induce an electromagnetic field within the data transmission cable allowing each of the RFID chips to transmit a signal during normal operation. However, if an intrusion occurs or the power transmission cable or data transmission cable is severed, the system according to the present invention, would be able to determine the exact point of intrusion based upon the signals received or not received from the RFID chips.
Abstract: A process for killing microorganisms and controlling biofouling in high chlorine demand waters comprises mixing two components, one of which is an oxidant and the other an ammonium salt, and adding the mixture immediately to the aqueous system to be treated.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrically conductive coating which is producible by hydrolytic condensation of a mixture including at least one hydrolysable silicon compound of general formula SiXnR(4-n) (I), wherein at least one of the R radicals is a mercapto-substituted alkyl or aryl group and is a compound of general formula ZaSiYbR(4-a-b) (II), wherein the Z radical is for example a quaternary ammonium salt, whereby the mixture to be hydrolytically condensed comprises at least one portion of an ether containing and alkyl group. The coating is particularly suitable for toner transfer drums and has high scratch resistance and good adhesion to the substrate.
Abstract: A power factor correction circuit structure is described. The power factor correction circuit comprises a series connection of a first winding, a diode, an inductor and a first capacitor. The polarity of the first winding is opposite to that of the primary winding. A second capacitor is connected to the primary winding to control the primary winding and build a voltage across the first capacitor. This voltage is transferred to the first winding through the transformer to boost the first capacitor voltage and improve the power factor.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a dual damascene structure, which forms a trench first, is described. The manufacturing method has following steps. First, a substrate with a plurality of semiconductor devices is provided. A first metal layer, a first etching stop layer, a dielectric layer, and a second etching stop layer are subsequently formed thereon. A trench is formed in the dielectric layer at a predetermined depth thereafter, and a sacrificial layer is filled therein and is next planarized. Then a photoresist layer is formed thereon for etching a via. Afterward the photoresist layer and the sacrificial layer are both removed. Following that, the first etching stop layer is etched through to expose the first metal layer. Finally, the via and the trench are filled with a second metal layer.
Abstract: The invention relates to a new type of hydraulic module for actuating at least one hydraulic control element with a hydraulic pump in a housing, with an electric motor fastened to a first housing side for driving the pump, with a tank located on a second housing side opposite the first side for a hydraulic fluid, e.g. hydraulic oil, with flow channels produced in the housing produced preferably by bore holes for the hydraulic fluid to supply this fluid from the tank to a pump chamber, for transmitting the hydraulic fluid conveyed by the pump to a pressure connection located on the housing, for connection of the at least one actuating element and for returning the hydraulic fluid from the pressure connection into the tank.
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel design of a cooler in the form of a heat pipe, with a housing in which an interior space closed to the outside is formed to hold a liquid, vaporizable coolant or heat-transport medium.
Abstract: A game device that includes non-uniformly shaped playing pieces that may be stacked onto an arrangement of multiple, base structures, the base structures having one or more substantially planar playing surfaces thereon, the playing pieces suitable for stacking on the playing surfaces in an unrestricted manner in accordance with rules for playing the game. The game may include a game board to which the base structures are securable.
Abstract: A vehicle (10) is used to lift the buried lid of a crypt and any soil or turf overlying the lid. The vehicle (10) has a mobile frame (14) which can be positioned over the lid. An attachment frame (11) is suspended from a subframe (12) within the mobile frame (14), the subframe (12) being adjustable laterally relative to the frame (14). The attachment frame (11) has winch cables (19) adapted to be connected to respective attachment fittings on the lid. Hydraulic cylinders (13) are used to raise the attachment frame (11) relative to the mobile frame (14), and thereby lift the lid and any overlying soil/turf. The raised lid can be transported while suspended from the vehicle (10), and subsequently returned for replacement on its crypt in a reverse procedure.
