Patent number: 7733146Abstract: A delay line appropriate for use in a POR circuit or other integrated circuit in a space environment combines three separate circuit techniques to improve performance without unnecessarily increasing circuit area or adding to manufacturing costs when compared to a simple inverter delay line. The delay line of the present invention uses the selective placement of capacitors throughout the delay line, one-sided current starving, and the incorporation of one-sided Schmitt trigger circuits. Performance of the delay line is substantially immune to SEGR events (“Single Event Gate Rupture”) and SET events (“Single Event Transients”). Spurious signals produced by SEGR and SET events are quickly and substantially attenuated.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2006Date of Patent: June 8, 2010Assignee: Aeroflex Colorado Springs Inc.Inventor: Matthew Von Thun

Patent number: 7730479Abstract: In a cell-phone terminal for receiving an event and detecting an application corresponding to the event to notify and manage the event, a conflicting condition and a return priority are set to each of multiple applications in advance. On receiving the event making a request for activation of an application later in a status of having an application running in advance, an application management portion suspends the application based on a conflicting condition about the application, and stores return information on the application necessary to activate it again for each return priority in the case of operating the application. When the application is finished, the application management portion reads the return information in lowering order of the return priority and activates a corresponding application by using the return information.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2005Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Kyocera CorporationInventor: Tetsu Nishida

Patent number: 7729430Abstract: An autodetect circuit for a router system includes an interface to two bidirectional serial links, an input multiplexer circuit coupled to one side of the link interface for receiving input data signals and clock signals, a receiver coupled to the input multiplexer circuit and to a receive FIFO, a state machine coupled to the receiver, a transmitter coupled to the state machine, a transmit FIFO, and to the other side of the link interface for transmitting output data, and a counter coupled to the state machine for controlling the input multiplexer circuit. The autodetect circuit determines which of the two links “A” or “B” is active and available for transmission. The counter is incremented whenever a link reset occurs. When the count reaches a predetermined maximum count value, a port enable signal is toggled from the default “A” link to the “B” link. When one port is enabled, any activity on the other port is ignored.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2006Date of Patent: June 1, 2010Assignee: Aeroflex Colorado Springs Inc.Inventor: J. Steve Griffith

Patent number: 7724554Abstract: A semiconductor switch circuit is connected to a primary winding of a transformer having a secondary winding connected to a load. The semiconductor switch circuit has switches controlled by PWM to provide a controlled constant current. In the inventive inverter, constant current control is performed by PWM operation of the switches of the semiconductor switch circuit. The inverter cuts off electricity to the control circuit when putting the control circuit into a standby state if a run-stop signal gains a logical stop-state. At the same time as the run-stop signal gaining the stop-state, switch drive signals enabling the switches of the semiconductor switch circuit are turned off. Thus, over-current can be prevented from flowing in the load when the control circuit is put into the standby state.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2009Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: Rohm Co., Ltd.Inventor: Kenichi Fukumoto
