Abstract: A shadow mask for uniformly forming an organic luminescent layer of an organic electroluminescent device is disclosed. The shadow mask includes a plurality of striped slots aligned in one direction, the striped slots having a plurality of inclined surfaces formed on each side thereof. Due to a step difference, the inclined surfaces prevent shadows from occurring, thereby uniformly forming the organic luminescent layer.
Abstract: The present invention provides an organic electroluminescence device, by which high brightness is provided in a manner of forming a hole injection or transport layer using a material that lowers an energy barrier.

Abstract: A backlight unit includes at least one cold cathode fluorescent lamp arranged at a lower end of a bottom cover, external electrode fluorescent lamps arranged on the bottom cover above the cold cathode fluorescent lamp, and inverters disposed on a rear side of the bottom cover for driving the at least one cold cathode fluorescent lamp and the external electrode fluorescent lamps.
Abstract: A portable enclosure, including a thin flexible cover for covering an object and protecting it from the environment, a storage cassette for removably storing said cover therein, a wheeled carriage for removably receiving the storage cassette, whereby the storage cassette either may be transported by the wheeled carriage to a position close to the object whereupon the cover may be removed from the storage cassette and placed over the object or may be removed from the wheeled carriage such that the storage cassette and the cover therein may be used in a location distant from the wheeled carriage.
Abstract: A portable system for on-site monitoring and treatment of water comprising a protective enclosure adapted to be positioned proximate a site of collected water, an internal fluid flow system disposed within the enclosure comprising a first conduit extending from a dirty water inlet on the enclosure to a pair of dirty water outlets and a second conduit extending from a return water inlet on the enclosure to a filtered water outlet and a clean water outlet. Probes are provided in the conduits for monitoring fluid parameters therein and communicating those parameters to a controller within the enclosure. The controller compares the measured parameter levels with predetermined acceptable levels and actuates valve members in said conduits in response to the measured parameter levels to selectively communicate the respective conduits with respective outlets for the treatment of water passing through the system.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of monitoring line faults in a medium voltage network (1) of the type comprising an electricity generating plant (3) supplying electricity to a plurality of customers over a network of medium voltage power lines (5), a control centre computer (9) and a plurality of measurement sensors (7) located remote from the electricity generating plant on the medium voltage power lines, each of the measurement sensors (7) further comprising three individual measurement units, each measurement unit mounted on a different phase of the medium voltage power line (5) with respect to the other measurement units of that measurement sensor, and each measurement sensor (7) having means to communicate with the control centre computer (9). The method includes the steps of synchronizing the measurement sensors (7) and thereafter calculating the out of balance current for the medium voltage line (5) on a cycle by cycle basis.
