  • Patent number: 7942753
Abstract: A sound producing play apparatus includes a support structure, an air compression system, a movable member, and a sound generating mechanism. In operation the air compression system harnesses energy from a user's movement of the movable member to create a forced supply of wind. The wind is then passed through a series of tubes and air reservoirs to a sound producing mechanism to create the desired sound. The air compression system includes an air compressor that is positioned inside a portion of the support structure to protect the air compressor from damage.

The sensor includes a plurality of sensing elements comprising a capacitor and other components, such as resistors and inductors. The sensor also includes an oscillator that alters a frequency of an electrical current applied to the sensor, from which the dielectric constant of the fluid in which each sensing element is disposed can be determined. Methods of using such a sensor to determine the relative heights of various fluids in a fluid column are disclosed. In particular, methods of using embodiments of the invention in a well, such as water and petroleum wells, are described.

  • Patent number: 7939960
Abstract: The present invention provides an aerial wind power generating system which has an improved structure such that despite light wind, satisfactory wind power generation can be ensured, and such that it is easy to install and remove the system, thus being effectively adapted to a temporary and portable wind power generating system. The system of the present invention includes a floating body (20), which is connected to support wires coupled to a wire rotating unit, a wind passage (30), which is formed through the floating body, so that wind passes through the wind passage in the horizontal direction, and a wind power generating unit (40), which has turbine blade assemblies and generators (48). The turbine blade assemblies are installed in the wind passage and are thus rotated by wind passing through the wind passage. The generators generate electric energy using rotating force transmitted from the turbine blade assemblies.

  • Patent number: 7914606
Abstract: Produced natural gas containing carbon dioxide is dehydrated and chilled to liquefy the carbon dioxide and then fractionated to produce a waste stream of liquid carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. Natural gas liquids may be first separated and removed before fractionation. After fractionation, the waste stream is pressurized and transmitted to a remote injection well for injection either for disposal of the waste stream and preferably to urge hydrocarbons toward the producing well. A hydrocarbon stream proceeds from fractionation to a methanol absorber system which removes carbon dioxide gas. The hydrocarbon stream is thereafter separated into at least hydrocarbon gas, nitrogen and helium. Some of the nitrogen is reintroduced into a fractionation tower to enhance the recovery of hydrocarbons. A methanol recovery system is provided to recover and reuse the methanol. The hydrocarbons are sold as natural gas and the helium is recovered and sold. Excess nitrogen is vented.
