Abstract: The present invention relates to benzo-spiro-azaheterocyclic compounds of formula I, wherein R1, R2a, Rsb, R3, R?3, R4, R?4, m, n, q and p are define herein. The compounds of this invention are useful as modulators of muscarinic receptors.
Abstract: An automated document processing apparatus comprising a detector; a plurality of pockets; and a pocket selector gate assembly which causes a document being processed by the apparatus to be routed to one of the plurality of pockets based on information read from the document by the detector, the route of the document being determined by the position of a pocket selector gate, the pocket selector gate position being controlled by a motor which is mechanically coupled to the pocket selector gate, the mechanical coupling being such that, when the pocket selector gate is in a first position, the pocket selector gate is locked in place even after the motor has been deenergized. The mechanical coupling may be achieved by way of a link arm and pin, the pin mating with the link arm and engaging a mating slot of the pocket selector gate.

Abstract: A fluidizing apparatus comprises a vessel having an inlet, a plurality of outlets and a nozzle, through which a pressurized fluid can be fed into the vessel. The outlets are spaced at different heights from a base of the vessel and are controlled by valves enabling fluidized solids to be removed in layers from the vessel. In a further embodiment, a single outlet is raised or lowered to a desired position in the vessel.
Abstract: A lug stud and lug nut monitoring system, method, and components for a vehicle may have a lug stud, a lug nut, at least one sensor, and an indicator. The lug stud has a shank. The lug nut is constructed to fasten on the shank. The sensor can be carried by the lug stud, by the lug nut, or by both the lug stud and the lug nut. The sensor takes at least one measurement. The indicator communicates with the sensor in order to determine a value based on the measurement, and to alert an operator of the vehicle if and when the value reaches a predetermined relationship to a reference value.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing selectively-colored light is disclosed. The apparatus includes a circuit having a plurality of diodes each including an anode and a cathode, wherein the plurality of diodes include a first diode that emits a first light defined by a first wavelength, a second diode that emits a second light defined by a second wavelength, and a third diode that emits a third light defined by a third wavelength, wherein a summation of one or more of the first, second and third light defines a selectively-colored light; and a controller including a first output connected to the anode of the first diode, and the cathode of the second diode, a second output connected to the cathode of the first diode, the anode of the second diode, and the anode of the third diode, and a third output connected to the cathode of the third diode. Abstract: A document processing system includes a document track composed of a pair of opposing rigid track walls. The documents are moved along the document track in a series to allow operations to be performed on the documents. An apparatus for detecting a document with an attachment includes a strike plate formed by a separate section of a wall of the document track. A magnet is arranged to attract material toward the strike plate. An accelerometer is mounted to the strike plate. The accelerometer detects an impact of an attachment to the strike plate when a document with an attachment passes the strike plate.

Abstract: A suspension unit comprises a hub about which a suspension arm is pivotable. The hub is secured to a vehicle chassis or hull by means of a connecting element. The connecting element has a flange provided with holes positioned to coincide with pre-existing holes on the vehicle hole or chassis. The document scanner also includes a scanner module slidably attached to the document bed. The scanner module has a magnetic character reader, a first magnet placed along a leading edge of the magnetic character reader in a first direction of travel of the scanner module, and a second magnet placed along a leading edge of the magnetic character reader in a second direction of travel of the scanner module opposite to the first direction of travel.

Abstract: A hand-held walking stilt comprising a base that contacts a walking surface, where the base has a foot stand to support a user's foot a set distance above the walking surface, where the foot stand defines an opening for a pole. The pinch roller assembly also includes a pinch roller rotatably mounted to the pinch roller housing and located adjacent to the path of travel of documents, and a biasing member arranged to exert a biasing force on a deflection element. The deflection element directs the biasing force onto the pinch roller housing.

Abstract: An electrical device includes a composite switching material. The composite switching material includes an electrically switchable component and a non-switchable component. In one embodiment, the composite switching material includes a heterogeneous mixture of at least one chalcogenide material and at least one dielectric material. The composite switching material is disposed between two electrodes and the switchable component is transformable from a resistive state to a conductive state upon application of a voltage between the two electrodes, without changing phase.
