  • Patent number: 7986774
Abstract: A call schedule is received that includes a plurality of sample calls to be made by an automated calling station. The plurality of sample calls are automatically placed on the network using the automated calling station. At least one final billing record corresponding to the at least one completed sample call is received. The call data is processed to determine billed cost data. The billed cost data is compared to the previous cost data and a change in the rate plan is detected based on the comparison of the billed cost data to the previous cost data.

  • Patent number: 7984122
Abstract: Processor core data regarding a client device is received from the client device. A processor core configuration is determined based on the processor core data. The processor core configuration may include instructions for instructing the client device to dedicate a task to a processor core in a plurality of processor cores of the client device. The processor core configuration is transmitted to the client device. A configuration success message is received from the client device. The configuration success message may indicate that the client device successfully implemented the processor core configuration. A virtual world module is then transformed from a first state wherein certain functionality is not provided by the virtual world to a second state wherein the functionality is provided. The virtual world module may be configured to provide the virtual world to the client device.

  • Patent number: 7984032
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described that relate to iterators for applying term occurrence-level constraints in natural language searching. These tools may receive a natural language input query, and define term occurrence-level constraints applicable to the input query. The methods may also identify facts requested in the input query, and may instantiate an iterator to traverse a fact index to identify candidate facts responsive to the input query. This iterator may traverse through at least a portion of the fact index. The methods may receive candidate facts from this iterator, with these candidate facts including terms, referred to as term-level occurrences. The methods may apply the term occurrence-level constraints to the term-level occurrences. The methods may select the candidate fact for inclusion in search results for the input query, based at least in part on applying the term occurrence-level constraint.

  • Patent number: 7982749
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for high-performance rasterization of a vector graphic on a server computer. A vector graphic loader receives the vector graphic and generates an intermediate data structure from the vector graphic. A vector graphic renderer receives the intermediate data structure and renders the intermediate data structure to a render surface. An imaging component encodes the contents of the render surface to a raster image in a standard image format. The vector graphic loader and the vector graphic renderer are configured for multi-threaded and multi-processor execution on a server computer, which provides high performance.

  • Patent number: 7979458
Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media are provided for associating security trimmers with documents in an enterprise search system. According to one method, a search index is maintained that includes one or more document identifiers corresponding to documents stored at back-end computing systems. Each document identifier in the search index is associated with one or more security trimmer implementations. When a query request is received from a user, the search index is queried to identify documents referenced by the search index that match search terms provided with the query request. For each document that matches the search terms, the associated security trimmer implementations are identified and executed to retrieve the access rights to view the document for the current user from the back-end computing system where the document is stored.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed for providing information related to virtual environments. One such method includes receiving user input identifying an event related to the virtual environment for which a notification is to be provided to a mobile wireless communication device. User input is also received identifying an output to be provided by the mobile wireless communication device in response to receipt of the notification. A determination is then made that the event related to the virtual environment has occurred. In response to determining that the event occurred, the mobile wireless communication device is provided with the notification, and the output identified by the user input is provided by the mobile wireless communication device.

  • Patent number: 7975046
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for verifying a lawful interception system. A first file and a second file are received. The first file is formed by recording data traffic at a computer as the data traffic generated at the computer is transmitted from the computer to a remote network via a broadband remote access server (BRAS), saving the recorded data traffic as a first packet capture and flat file export (PCAP) file, and exporting packet summary lines from the first PCAP file. The second file is formed by intercepting the data traffic as the data traffic egresses from a mediation system to a law enforcement agency (LEA) system, saving the intercepted data traffic as a second PCAP file, and exporting packet summary lines from the second PCAP file. The first file is compared with the second file to verify an accuracy of the mediation system.

  • Patent number: 7974634
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for conserving bandwidth. A cluster of cellular devices is identified. Each cellular device in the cluster may be within a given proximity from at least one other cellular device in the cluster. A seed is selected from the cluster of cellular devices. A schedule associated with a content item to be distributed to the cluster of cellular devices is identified. The schedule identifies which of the cellular devices in the cluster receive the content item. A cellular tower is instructed to transmit the content item and the schedule to the seed. Upon receiving the content item, the seed may forward the content item to another cellular device in the cluster according to the schedule.

  • Patent number: 7974661
Abstract: Aspects provide a computer-readable medium for accessing computer applications and application data on a computer operating in a low-power state utilizing a wireless device and providing the requested information in a usable format over a short-range communications link. According to one aspect, a computer-readable medium causes a computer to receive a request for data over a short-range wireless link. If the computer is in a standby state, a low-power state is initiated, a software component is executed to receive the request, retrieve the data, format the data for display on the wireless device, and send the data to the wireless device. If the computer is in a hibernation mode, a pre-boot application is executed to retrieve, format, and send the stored data to the wireless device or to initiate a low-power or power-on state and forward the request to a software component for retrieving the requested data.

  • Patent number: 7969352
Abstract: Methods and systems enhance the accuracy of the global positioning system (GPS) using a low earth orbiting (LEO) satellite constellation. According to embodiments described herein, GPS data is received from GPS satellites at a GPS control segment and is used to create GPS correction data to be utilized by user equipment to correct errors within the GPS data. The GPS correction data is transmitted from the GPS control segment to a LEO ground segment, where it is uplinked to the LEO satellite constellation. To account for bandwidth constraints and minimize any performance degradation of the LEO satellites, the GPS correction data is broadcast to earth on a subset of the total number of available spot beams. The subset of spot beams is selected in part according to satellite angular velocity, bandwidth constraints, and message latency estimates.
