Abstract: A call schedule is received that includes a plurality of sample calls to be made by an automated calling station. The plurality of sample calls are automatically placed on the network using the automated calling station. At least one final billing record corresponding to the at least one completed sample call is received. The call data is processed to determine billed cost data. The billed cost data is compared to the previous cost data and a change in the rate plan is detected based on the comparison of the billed cost data to the previous cost data.

Abstract: Processor core data regarding a client device is received from the client device. A processor core configuration is determined based on the processor core data. The processor core configuration may include instructions for instructing the client device to dedicate a task to a processor core in a plurality of processor cores of the client device. The processor core configuration is transmitted to the client device. A configuration success message is received from the client device. The configuration success message may indicate that the client device successfully implemented the processor core configuration. A virtual world module is then transformed from a first state wherein certain functionality is not provided by the virtual world to a second state wherein the functionality is provided. Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for monitoring communications of an individual in a packet network. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a network monitor having a communications interface coupled to a packet network, and a controller. The controller can be programmed to receive a request from a third party to monitor communications associated with an individual, convey to the third party information monitored on a group of one or more permanent virtual circuits (PVCs) of the packet network associated with the individual, detect an update in the group of one or more PVCs, determine new set of one or more PVCs associated with the individual, and convey to the third party information monitored from the new set of one or more PVCs.

Abstract: Tools and techniques are described that relate to iterators for applying term occurrence-level constraints in natural language searching. These tools may receive a natural language input query, and define term occurrence-level constraints applicable to the input query. The methods may also identify facts requested in the input query, and may instantiate an iterator to traverse a fact index to identify candidate facts responsive to the input query. This iterator may traverse through at least a portion of the fact index. The methods may receive candidate facts from this iterator, with these candidate facts including terms, referred to as term-level occurrences. The methods may apply the term occurrence-level constraints to the term-level occurrences. The methods may select the candidate fact for inclusion in search results for the input query, based at least in part on applying the term occurrence-level constraint.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for high-performance rasterization of a vector graphic on a server computer. A vector graphic loader receives the vector graphic and generates an intermediate data structure from the vector graphic. A vector graphic renderer receives the intermediate data structure and renders the intermediate data structure to a render surface. An imaging component encodes the contents of the render surface to a raster image in a standard image format. Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media are provided for associating security trimmers with documents in an enterprise search system. According to one method, a search index is maintained that includes one or more document identifiers corresponding to documents stored at back-end computing systems. Each document identifier in the search index is associated with one or more security trimmer implementations. When a query request is received from a user, the search index is queried to identify documents referenced by the search index that match search terms provided with the query request. For each document that matches the search terms, the associated security trimmer implementations are identified and executed to retrieve the access rights to view the document for the current user from the back-end computing system where the document is stored.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed for providing information related to virtual environments. One such method includes receiving user input identifying an event related to the virtual environment for which a notification is to be provided to a mobile wireless communication device. Each element in the array comprises a family data structure including a field for storing the GUID for the family along with a field for storing a pointer to a linked list that stores the protocol instance data for each of the protocols in the family. Abstract: Apparatus and methods described herein provide for an eyewear system having interchangeable components. According to one aspect of the disclosure provided herein, eyewear includes at least one lens structure and a temple that are configured to removably attach to one another. The lens structure includes two engaging elements with one attached to the lens structure towards the center and the other toward the temple. The temple includes two curved portions shaped to secure the temple to the engaging elements of the lens structure.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for verifying a lawful interception system. A first file and a second file are received. The first file is formed by recording data traffic at a computer as the data traffic generated at the computer is transmitted from the computer to a remote network via a broadband remote access server (BRAS), saving the recorded data traffic as a first packet capture and flat file export (PCAP) file, and exporting packet summary lines from the first PCAP file. The second file is formed by intercepting the data traffic as the data traffic egresses from a mediation system to a law enforcement agency (LEA) system, saving the intercepted data traffic as a second PCAP file, and exporting packet summary lines from the second PCAP file. The first file is compared with the second file to verify an accuracy of the mediation system.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for testing failure rate of newly installed network elements within a predetermined amount of time prior to customer use of the network elements are provided. An order report including information regarding one or more network elements is accessed, and based on the information provided by the orders report, a network element from the one or more network elements to be tested is determined. Information regarding the network element to be tested is retrieved from the orders report and included on a ticket created for the network element to be tested. The ticket created for the network element is then forwarded to a test device for testing of the network element associated with the forwarded ticket.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for conserving bandwidth. A cluster of cellular devices is identified. Each cellular device in the cluster may be within a given proximity from at least one other cellular device in the cluster. A seed is selected from the cluster of cellular devices. A schedule associated with a content item to be distributed to the cluster of cellular devices is identified. The schedule identifies which of the cellular devices in the cluster receive the content item. A cellular tower is instructed to transmit the content item and the schedule to the seed. Upon receiving the content item, the seed may forward the content item to another cellular device in the cluster according to the schedule.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media provide for providing cellular handoff. According to embodiments, a method for providing a cellular handoff is provided. According to the method, a first group of users is associated with a first class of service and a first cellular tower. A second group of users is associated with a second class of service. Whether to hand off the first group of users from the first cellular tower to a second cellular tower is determined based on real-time quality of service provided to at least one of the first group of users and the second group of users. In response to determining to hand off the first group of users from the first cellular tower to the second cellular tower, a handoff of the first group of users from the first cellular tower to the second cellular tower is performed.
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described for automatically capturing and maintaining versions of documents. These tools may provide methods that include receiving documents from a server, and receiving indications of revisions to the documents at client systems. The methods may also automatically determine whether to capture representations of states of the documents before entry of the revisions, in the absence of explicit user commands to capture these representations.

Abstract: Aspects provide a computer-readable medium for accessing computer applications and application data on a computer operating in a low-power state utilizing a wireless device and providing the requested information in a usable format over a short-range communications link. According to one aspect, a computer-readable medium causes a computer to receive a request for data over a short-range wireless link. If the computer is in a standby state, a low-power state is initiated, a software component is executed to receive the request, retrieve the data, format the data for display on the wireless device, and send the data to the wireless device. Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for collecting data from CPE devices located on a remote LAN are provided. Communication is established over a WAN with a gateway attached to the LAN. The gateway is then used to enumerate the CPE devices on the LAN. A firewall pinhole is created in the gateway for each CPE device on the LAN, and communication is established through the pinholes to the CPE devices to collect the desired data.

Abstract: Methods and systems enhance the accuracy of the global positioning system (GPS) using a low earth orbiting (LEO) satellite constellation. According to embodiments described herein, GPS data is received from GPS satellites at a GPS control segment and is used to create GPS correction data to be utilized by user equipment to correct errors within the GPS data. The GPS correction data is transmitted from the GPS control segment to a LEO ground segment, where it is uplinked to the LEO satellite constellation. To account for bandwidth constraints and minimize any performance degradation of the LEO satellites, the GPS correction data is broadcast to earth on a subset of the total number of available spot beams. The subset of spot beams is selected in part according to satellite angular velocity, bandwidth constraints, and message latency estimates.
