  • Patent number: 8168298
Abstract: An article is formed in a mold having a mold cavity, has a periphery, and defines a score line having a tensile heal strength of less than 200 ppi along the score line. The article includes a cured urethane composition including the reaction product of an isocyanate component and a resin composition. The cured urethane composition is used in a method of forming the article. The method includes the steps of determining a theoretical tensile heal strength along the score line and applying the isocyanate component into the mold cavity in response to the determining of the theoretical tensile heal strength. The method also includes the steps of applying the resin composition into the mold cavity, reacting the isocyanate component and the resin composition to form a urethane composition, curing the urethane composition, and de-molding the article from the mold cavity.

  • Patent number: 8167693
Abstract: A target information storage unit (203) stores information regarding a group of targets (target panels) which are disposed dispersedly on a virtual race course and which each have an objective speed set therefor. An operation input reception unit (201) receives an operation input for a moving object (racing car) to be run on the course. Then, a running condition managing unit (204) manages the running condition of the moving object based on this operation input. Meanwhile, a passage determination unit (206a) sequentially determines whether or not the moving object has passed on the course by contacting the respective targets, based on the managed running condition. Further, a speed comparison unit (206b) compares the speed of the moving object at the time of the passage and the objective speed of each target. Then, an evaluation unit (206) evaluates the operation input from a user based on the determination result and comparison result.

  • Patent number: 8164578
Abstract: In a line shape processing device (201) for receiving an entry of a line shape via a mouse, a touch panel, etc. and processing the line shape, an entry receiving unit (202) receives an entry of information indicating whether a touch pen pushes the touch panel or not, and the pushed position if so. When pushing continuously occurs, a coordinate storage unit (203) stores, for each position included in a line segment joining a place pushed immediately before and a place pushed currently, the y-coordinate value of that position in association with the x-coordinate value of that position. A display unit (205) displays the line shape by acquiring, in an order regarding the x-coordinate values, the x-coordinate values and y-coordinate values stored in the coordinate storage unit (203), and plotting dots at positions within a screen designated by the x-coordinate values and the y-coordinate values.

  • Patent number: 8162754
Abstract: A process control unit (306) controls a music reproduction unit (309) to output a music sound, while controlling a request content creation unit (305) to present content of a motion requested to the player. At the same time, the process control unit (306) compares content of the motion acquired from a motion content acquiring unit (302) with the presented, requested motion (and the timing) to evaluate the stepping motion of the player. Further, during the game, the process control unit (306) sequentially measures the amount of displacement of the game mat in accordance with the position, etc. of the controller, the position being detected by a controller detection unit (303). Then, when the measured amount of displacement exceeds a reference value, an alarm message is synthesized to a game screen and displayed, and the game mat displacement is informed to call attention of the player.

  • Patent number: 8162748
Abstract: A gaming system comprises a plurality of gaming machines (EGMs) and a secondary game control section. The secondary game control section is provided with a plurality of data sets having different target investment amount between two triggerings of the secondary game. The secondary game control section is adapted to receive a bet contribution from each of the EGMs and calculate an average bet amount from the received bet contributions. The secondary game control section selects one of the data sets depending on the calculated average bet amount, and determines whether the secondary game is triggered for each bet contribution from the EGMs using the target investment amount associated with the selected one of the data sets and a random number, and if it is determined that the secondary game is triggered, pays out a secondary game award to an EGM of which bet contribution triggered the secondary game.

  • Patent number: 8157170
Abstract: Aimed is easy locating of a card placed on a touch panel, when identifying card type by sliding a touch pen, etc. along card slits. When a reference slit determining unit (404) of a card identification device (401) determines that a locus input from a touch panel unit (402) matches a reference slit, a slit region display control unit (405) displays longest slit regions images in which value slits are to be included on an image display unit (403). When a value slit determining unit (406) determines that a locus input thereafter matches any value slit, an input-finished slit display control unit (409) displays the image of the identified value slit on the image display unit (403), overlaying it on the longest slit region. When all value slits are identified, a card identifying unit (407) identifies the card type based on types of the identified value slits, and outputs it.

  • Patent number: 8156913
Abstract: The subject invention provides a coolant cross-over for circulating an engine coolant between a first engine component, e.g., a first cylinder head, and a second engine component, e.g., a second cylinder head. The coolant cross-over defines a first outlet in fluid communication with the first engine component, a second outlet in fluid communication with second engine component, and further defines a passage interconnecting the first outlet and the second outlet. The coolant cross-over comprises a polymer. A sleeve comprises polyaromatic sulfide and is disposed within the passage for separating the engine coolant from the nylon which forms the coolant cross-over to prevent physical, thermal and/or chemical degradation of the polymeric coolant cross-over by the engine coolant.
