    Abstract: Provided is an Sb—Te alloy sintered compact sputtering target having at least Sb or Te as its primary component, wherein surface roughness Ra is 0.4 ?m or less, purity excluding gas components is 4N or more, content of gas components as impurities is 1500 ppm or less, and average crystal grain size is 50 ?m or less. With this Sb—Te alloy sintered compact sputtering target, the density of defects having a maximum length of 10 ?m or greater arising in a surface finish by machining is 80 or less in an 800 ?m square. Thus, the Sb—Te alloy sputtering target structure can be uniformalized and refined, generation of cracks in the sintered target can be inhibited, and generation of arcing during sputtering can be inhibited. Further, surface ruggedness caused by sputter erosion can be reduced in order to obtain a high quality Sb—Te alloy sputtering target.

    Abstract: A child-resistant and senior-friendly unit dose package has a hollow container body containing a separate tray carrying a plurality of tablets or like items for being dispensed from the container body. The container body has an end with an opening, and the tray can be slid to a retracted position in which the tray is located within the container body and a dispensing position in which a proximal end part of the tray extends through the opening of the container body. The package includes a separate cap removably securable to the container body to seal the opening and prevent access to the trays. The container body can be positioned in a tray re-loading position that permits a spent tray to be removed from the container body and replaced with a new tray. Thus, the container body is reusable.

    Abstract: A box culvert and gasket assembly is provided that enables fluid-tight bell-and spigot joints to be formed between abutting ends of box culverts. The joints according to the assembly of the present invention can remain fluid-tight up to at least 13 psi of water pressure. The gasket is preferably a one-piece, endless rubber gasket that is applied over the end of a spigot that is rectangular in end elevation. The corners of the rectangular spigot are rounded to enable the gasket to extend continuously over the corner without the need for 45° cuts and splices. Preferably, the gasket is made from a single elongate gasket piece that is cut to size and that has ends that are bonded together via a butt vulcanization technique. A storm drain and sewer assembly and a method of forming a fluid-tight bell-and spigot joint are also provided.

    Abstract: In a pivoting guide for a traveling transmission chain, composed of a synthetic resin body having a shoe and a slotted reinforcement, and a plate fitting into the slot, the plate has a mounting hole received on a boss formed on the guide body and coaxial with a mounting hole on the guide body which receives a pivot shaft. This structure facilitates assembly and mounting because the plate is securely attached to the guide body before the assembly is mounted. The plate does not contact the pivot shaft, and therefore full advantage is taken of the self-lubricating property of the synthetic resin. The boss may be elongated so that the length of the mounting hole of the guide body is greater than the width of the shoe so that wear in of the guide body due to biased loads is dispersed, and the useful life of the guide is extended.

The hydrophilic character of the nonwoven fabric improves the movement of water to the nonwoven fabric, and the holding the water in the nonwoven fabric. As a result rewetting is prevented more effectively than in the case of prior press felts.

    Abstract: A belt for a papermaking machine has minute projections and recesses randomly formed in a shoe-contacting surface of the belt by a powdery material contained in a high molecular weight elastic section formed on a base body. The surface roughness RZ of the shoe-contacting surface is between 50 and 500 microns; the particle diameter of the powdery material is between 5 and 500 microns; and the content of the powdery material in the high molecular weight elastic section is between 5 and 50 percent by weight. A lubricant is held in the minute projections and recesses, and consequently more lubricant may be supplied between the belt and the shoe with which it cooperates. As a result, friction between the belt and the shoe is reduced, and less energy is required to drive the papermaking machine.
