  • Patent number: 8305282
Abstract: In a stalk-type field probe, each of three resistive dipoles is formed with a resistive feedline on a common circuit board. Each circuit board comprises an elongated feedline section that extends through a cylindrical stalk, and a cross-arm that is disposed at a 54.7° angle relative to the elongation of the feedline section. The feedline sections are arranged to form an equilateral triangular prism, and the cross arms are arranged so that the dipole on each cross-arm is perpendicular to an imaginary plane to which the lines along which the elements of both of the other dipoles extend are parallel.

  • Patent number: 8298104
Abstract: In a timing chain drive, a hybrid driving sprocket, having roller-engaging teeth and side sprocket teeth, cooperates with a hybrid chain having rollers that mesh with the roller-engaging teeth and toothed link plates that mesh with the side sprocket teeth. A driven sprocket from which the chain travels toward the driving sprocket has a cyclically varying tooth pitch that compensates for tension variations due to cyclic variations in the rotational speed of the driving sprocket or to cyclic variations in the load applied to the driven sprocket. The driven sprocket can be a roller sprocket or a hybrid sprocket having roller-engaging teeth and side sprocket teeth for engagement with the teeth on the link plates of the chain.

  • Patent number: 8282520
Abstract: In a chain tensioner, an expansible ring is disposed in an internal groove formed in the inner wall of a plunger-accommodating hole near an open end thereof. The ring cooperates with grooves formed on the plunger to exert a ratchet action. The relationship between the angles of the surfaces of the internal groove and the grooves on the plunger allows the plunger to protrude, restricts retraction of the plunger on start-up of a chain transmission, but allows retraction when chain tension becomes excessive. In one embodiment, in which the ring is a C-ring, the tensioner housing can be formed with external threads for mounting in a threaded hole on a timing chain cover or other engine part. In other embodiments, the ring can have externally protruding levers for manipulation of the ring.

  • Patent number: 8277694
Abstract: Provided is an amorphous film substantially comprised of indium, tin, calcium and oxygen, wherein tin is contained at a ratio of 5 to 15% based on an atomicity ratio of Sn/(In+Sn+Ca) and calcium is contained at a ratio of 0.1 to 2.0% based on an atomicity ratio of Ca/(In+Sn+Ca), and remnant is indium and oxygen. The film can be further crystallized by annealing at a temperature of 260° C. or lower in which resistivity of the film will be 0.4 m?cm or less. An ITO thin film for use as a display electrode or the like in a flat panel display can be made into an amorphous ITO film by way of sputter deposition without heating the substrate or adding water during deposition. This ITO film is characterized in that it will crystallize by annealing at a temperature of 260° C. or less, which is not such a high temperature, and have low resistivity after being crystallized. Thus, the present invention aims to provide a method of producing such a film and a sintered compact for producing such a film.
