  • Patent number: 4163348
Abstract: A partition formed of two spaced panels forming outer wall surfaces. The partitions are spaced by a paper honeycomb structure, passages in the honeycomb being substantially perpendicular to the panels. There are elongated H-shaped members fitted on each of two opposite ends of the panels, the H-bar of the members being adjacent the panel end edges. There is a partition stabilizing bar extending centrally between the panels and extending through a space between two sections of the honeycomb. The stabilizing bar is threaded at both ends and secured to and through the H-bars of the H-shaped members so as to prevent bowing or collapse of the partition in the direction of the bar.The method includes the steps of putting the partition together, particularly the steps of inserting the stabilizing bar between the honeycomb sections after they have been secured between the panels and of securing the stabilizing bar to the H-shaped members.

  • Patent number: 4154173
Abstract: Disclosed is a table-easel which supports a working surface in such a manner that it is readily movable in three directions, height, tilt, and rotation. The height adjustment is achieved by means of a pair of telescopically assembled uprights on a base and support frame which are raised and lowered by a double action turnscrew. The working surface is provided by a tabletop mounted on a cross shaft rotatably supported between the upper ends of the support frame, and tilt is achieved by rotating the cross shaft about its substantially horizontal axis. A locking structure is provided at one end of the cross shaft to lock the shaft in a particular tilt position. To permit rotation of the tabletop about a central axis normal to its surface, a pair of trunnion plates are provided. The tabletop is attached to one of the plates, and the other is attached to the cross shaft.

  • Patent number: 4142517
Abstract: The device is comprised of a guide tube having an inner end cutting edge and during insertion, carries a stylet to prevent the collection of blood and skin tissue. Adjustable guard means are on the tube for predetermining and limiting the depth of entry. After the tube has been inserted to the proper depth, the stylet is removed and a hollow needle is inserted through the tube and the bone structure into the marrow cavity to obtain a marrow sample. There are means on the needle to provide for the predetermined and limited depth of entry of the needle and motor means are provided to rotate the needle to cut through the bone and enter the marrow cavity to obtain a marrow sample. In addition after the needle has been removed, the guide tube is adapted to penetrate the bone and be moved into the marrow cavity, at which time aspiration means are connected to the outer end of the tube to aspirate marrow into the aspiration means.
