  • Patent number: 7568962
Abstract: A modular toy vehicle design having a universal mating system between the body of the vehicle and the chassis such that multiple body styles will interchangeably mate with multiple chassis designs and where electrical interfaces are automatically established between the body and the chassis simply by mating and aligning the two together. The design allows for an electrical connection to be made in the process of mechanically mating and aligning the body of a toy vehicle to its chassis thereby powering electronic features that are physically connected to the body with the power source which is housed in the chassis. When the body is properly aligned and mounted, the electrical interfaces are automatically established. There is no separate step of plugging together mating connectors where one connector extends from a wire bundle electrically interfacing with the body and the mating connector extends from a separate wire bundle electrically interfacing with the chassis.

  • Patent number: 7555816
Abstract: A toolbox has a novel reverse deadbolt for a latch and hinge. The latch engaging mechanism has attached deadbolts or latching rods which are linearly opposed to each other. Each latch rod mechanism has a hook on the end. This hook effectively reverses the direction of the deadbolt. Thus, when engaged the deadbolt locks around the receiver pins and moves inward. The hinge has a first engaging face that is generally concave radially around a longitudinal axis, and a second engaging face that is generally convex radially around the longitudinal axis. The engaging faces rotate relative to one another around the longitudinal axis in cooperation sufficiently close to allow water to enter them. A passage in the second element is disposed to drain fluid from a fluid communication with the engagement between the engaging faces.

  • Patent number: 7556586
Abstract: A shift control device and a shift control method for a vehicle for reducing shift shock by taking into account the difference in vehicle speeds before and after shifting. In one of the main inventions, the clutch pressure of another clutch (forward clutch) is controlled to match a target vehicle speed to a calculated actual vehicle speed by the time of start of the connecting operation of a selected speed stage clutch. Since such control is performed so that the vehicle speed is caused to match the target vehicle speed, an actual vehicle speed change rate is held within a predetermined range in at least the instant that the connecting operation of the selected speed stage clutch is started. Also, in another one of the main inventions, as shown in FIG.

  • Patent number: 7556500
Abstract: Bone-adaptive surface structures are provided for lateral jaw implants. Micromechanical and/or macromechanical surface structures having various body forms are incorporated into selected segments of the surface of a base and of a bar that connects a shaft with the base to accelerate the healing process after the implant is inserted into the jaw bone and to make a critical improvement in holding the implant firmly in place without rotation. A process of manufacturing the surface structures includes forming a macromechanical surface on the implant to increase its surface area; and superimposing micromechanical canals on the macromechanical surface, the canals having a size smaller than the minimum size of the osteons in the bone into which the implant is to be inserted.

  • Patent number: 7555482
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for evaluating atypical user data access activities within the scope of an automatically generated file security policy in organizations with multiple diverse access control models and multiple diverse file server protocols. The system monitors access to storage elements within the network. The recorded data traffic is analyzed to assess simultaneous data access groupings and user groupings, which reflect the actual organizational structure. The learned structure is then transformed into a dynamic file security policy, which is constantly adapted to organizational changes over time. The system provides a decision assistance interface for tracking abnormal user behavior.

  • Patent number: 7551599
Abstract: Routing tables of OSI layer-3 network elements are modified in order to enable entry to a RPR subnet at different entry points. This enables virtual tunnels or routing paths to utilize all existing entry links to the RPR subnet and to minimize cost factors, such as the number of RPR spans required to traverse the RPR subnet from the entry point to a destination RPR node. The routing tables of RPR subnet elements are modified, such that traffic leaving different elements but destined for the same network location outside the RPR subnet may have individualized RPR exit nodes. The respective RPR exit points for the network elements are chosen to minimize cost factors, such as the number of RPR spans required to reach the exit node from each RPR node.

  • Patent number: 7546789
Abstract: A whole muscle slicer and separator that solves the product separation problem and other problems found with an ordinary slicer. The invention is where one embodiment includes a special peel out finger bar comb that peels out every other product piece onto a conveyor and a final comb that peels out the remaining product pieces onto a second conveyor. This can be accomplished by tilting the cutting assembly to about approximately a 45 degree angle off vertical. There can be an upper and lower combs arranged in a interfacing relationship with the cutter for separating the product. Another embodiment includes a single finger bar comb having two sets of fingers.

  • Patent number: 7544286
Abstract: Submerged media useful with or without aeration and/or mixing to enhance an aquatic environment by promoting and retaining biogrowth. The media takes the form of a cluster of individual flexible elements having free ends. The media are submerged in a liquid such as a water or wastewater treatment basin or an aquaculture environment. The media are characterized by the ability to promote and retain microbial growth. The media clusters have substantial flow through thicknesses to provide a three dimensional effect along with baffling for increased contact with the liquid being treated. The media may be thin strips constructed to avoid sticking together to allow maximum exposed surface area. The media clusters can create oxic, anoxic and anaerobic environments for maximum treatment during flow through the media cluster. The flexibility of the media elements and their free ends automatically dislodges excessive biomass buildup to avoid clogging of the media.

  • Patent number: 7545516
Abstract: A method and system for full-field fringe-projection for 3-D surface-geometry measurement, referred to as “triangular-pattern phase-shifting” is disclosed. A triangular grey-scale-level-coded fringe pattern is computer generated, projected along a first direction onto an object or scene surface and distorted according to the surface geometry. The 3-D coordinates of points on the surface are calculated by triangulation from distorted triangular fringe-pattern images acquired by a CCD camera along a second direction and a triangular-shape intensity-ratio distribution is obtained from calculation of the captured distorted triangular fringe-pattern images. Removal of the triangular shape of the intensity ratio over each pattern pitch generates a wrapped intensity-ratio distribution obtained by removing the discontinuity of the wrapped image with a modified unwrapping method. Intensity ratio-to-height conversion is used to reconstruct the 3-D surface coordinates of the object.
