  • Patent number: 5853228
Abstract: A wheel cover retainer device is disclosed which utilizes a retainer ring for attaching a wheel cover to the wheel rim of a vehicle. The retainer ring is attached to the vehicle wheel rim by holes which receive the lug nuts or studs of the vehicle wheel. Two anti-rotation locks are provided which prevent the retainer ring from rotating off of the wheel rim and otherwise fasten the retainer ring to the wheel rim. The first anti-rotation lock has a substantially inverted V-shaped portion for producing an outward spring force. The ends of the V-shaped portion may have an edge surface and a crescent for engaging the retainer ring and lug nut, respectively. The second anti-rotation lock comprises a substantially planar portion with a hole for engaging a stud and a hook for engaging a neighboring hole on the retainer ring.

  • Patent number: 5842437
Abstract: A device is disclosed which comprises a drinking fountain for animals in the configuration of a free falling stream of water, or continuous waterfall. A pump moves water from a reservoir upward to a discharge ramp, or ramps, where water spills over into a receptacle. The reservoir and receptacle may consist of the same part. The cascade of water takes advantage of a preference demonstrated by animals for moving drinking water. The stream of free falling water also aerates the water and increases freshness, by breaking the surface tension of the standing water and drawing in oxygen from the atmosphere. Filtration of the circulating water in this self-contained system is easily accomplished. A water dispersing device may be located in the receptacle for reducing splashing and noise as water falls into the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5829750
Abstract: A method of playing a card game of 21 or black jack which allows wagers on the occurrence of a black jack within certain categories of black jacks, the categories being defined by ranks and suits. A number of possible single hand and multi-hand categories of black jacks are defined. • Patent number: 5827026
Abstract: An attachment device for attaching one object to another object. The attachment device comprises a U-shaped clamp, a bolt, and a U-shaped nut. The clamp has an upper and low portion and the nut has two upward projecting members. The upper and lower portions have a hole for receiving the bolt and the lower portion has two nut holes for receiving the upward projecting members of the nut. A first object is inserted between the upper and lower portions and the bolt is tightened to cause the upper and lower portions to grasp the first object. The upward projecting members prevent the attachment device from being over tightened and weakening the clamp. The members also prevent the attachment device from rotating when it is clamped to the first object. A second object may be attached to the attachment device by inserting the bolt through a hole in the second object.

  • Patent number: 5765911
Abstract: A positioning system is provided for positioning a chair-mounted table. The positioning system utilizes four major interconnected components which are capable of rotating around four different axes to position the table in a large variety of positions and orientations. The first axis is parallel to the ground, the second axis is substantially perpendicular to the first axis, the third axis is perpendicular to the second axis, and the fourth axis is substantially 45 degrees from the third axis. The table attached to the positioning system may be moved forward and backward relative to the user, it may be rotated to various angular positions, it may be swung forward to allow the user to sit down and get up, it may be placed on the side of the chair to make a side table, and it may be swung down to the side of the chair to occupy little space and allow the chair to be used with a stand-alone desk or table.

  • Patent number: 5718306
Abstract: A ladder leveling device is provided with an integrally formed tubular guide, a locking mechanism, a support shaft and a pivot foot. The tubular guide is attached to a ladder through its base portion. A guide bore is provided in the tubular guide for receiving the support shaft which may slide within the guide bore. A locking mechanism is housed in a lock portion of the tubular guide. The locking mechanism locks the support shaft in a fixed position relative to the tubular guide. The lock portion of the tubular guide protects the locking mechanism from foreign objects and reduces the risk of accidental release. A hole is provided on the side and rear surfaces of the lock portion for operating the locking mechanism and further increasing the safety and ease of use of the invention.

A side wager is placed in a receptacle or designated area which indicates to the dealer that the player wishes to participate in the random jackpot selection portion of the game. If a random event occurs, such as the player being dealt a preselected combination of cards, the player or dealer may activate the random prize selection process. The random prize selection is performed by a computer which uses a random generated number to select a prize from a pay table. The prize may be displayed on or near the gaming table. The player is then awarded the random jackpot amount.
