Abstract: The process of the present invention is directed to a method for making zinc or zinc-aluminum alloy additions to galvanizing baths. The process involves addition of a wire of zinc or zinc-aluminum alloy introduced directly into a molten galvanizing bath to more rapidly achieve a desired zinc or zinc-aluminum chemistry thereby reducing the time required to make the bath addition.
Abstract: An improved aeroprediction code (APC) allows aerodynamics to be predicted for Mach numbers up to 20 for configurations with flares. Moreover, the improved APC advantageously extends the static aerodynamic predictions for Mach numbers less than 1.2, improves the body alone pitch damping for Mach numbers above 2.0, and develops a new capability for pitch damping of flared configurations at Mach numbers up to 20. The improved APC also permits determination of aerodynamic effects associated with power-on events and trailing edge flaps. Corresponding methods are also described.

Abstract: A combination delivering signals between a plurality of devices includes a mixed-layer switching fabric, and a controller which controls the mixed-layer switching fabric. Abstract: A method of improving the brightness of calcium carbonate filled paper. The filled paper is dried and then bleached with an aqueous solution of a bleaching agent. Abstract: A novel electronic information transport component can be incorporated in a wide range of electronic information products, for example magazine collections, to automate the mass distribution of updates, such as current issues, from a remote server to a wide user base having a diversity of computer stations. Advantages of economy, immediacy and ease of use are provided. Extensions of the invention permit automated electronic catalog shopping with order placement and, optionally, order confirmation. More specifically, the present invention relates to an antiblock talc, a process for the preparation of such and its use as an additive in the production of polyolefin film.

Abstract: The present invention relates to spheric-shaped see through lenses used in eyewear. The lenses have a substantially constant thickness and having a substantially constant radius of curvature of between 27-20 mm. The spheric lenses may be supported in a frame formed of either rigid or flexible material and attached to a strap assembly adaptable to be worn by the user. Optionally, each of the lenses may be supported by a flanged member and ventilation passages preferably extending through the frame and/or the lenses to allow air to circulate around the lenses.
