Abstract: A hot-gas engine including a heater and a source of heat in combination with a switching device for conveying heat from the heat source to heater, the device including a pair of spaced heat pipes with third intermediate heat pipe and means for introducing inert gas into said third heat pipe and removing said gas to vary the vaporization point therein and the rate of heat transfer therethrough.

Abstract: Shaving head for a dry-shaver having an arched perforated cutter foil and a cooperating lower cutter resiliently urged into the foil. For cleaning purposes the lower cutter is rotatable about a longitudinal axis from the first position, in which its blade edges cooperate with the foil, to a second position in which the blade edges are accessible for cleaning, when the shaving head is removed from the shaver.
Abstract: A combined heat-producing and heat-exchanging system in which sodium or a mixture of lithium and sodium and/or potassium is reacted in a reaction vessel with fluorine and/or chlorine or gaseous compounds of these halogens, while the sodium and/or potassium vapour formed as a result of the produced heat is passed on to the heat exchanger of a heat-consuming device and the condensate is led back to the reaction vessel.
Abstract: A rotary heat-exchanger comprising a control device which is controlled by the variable pressure of one of the two hot and cold gas flows, the control device exerting a force on the rotor which force is proportional to the resultant gas flow pressure, in order to maintain a fixed axial position of the rotor with respect to the rotor housing.

Abstract: A connection of a rolling diaphragm to the inner one of two coaxially arranged piston and cylinder elements, the diaphragm having a thickened end accommodated in a groove in the wall of an annular face of the piston. An elastic ring clamped about the piston locks the thickened end of the seal in the groove.
