  • Patent number: 6833102
Abstract: According to the present invention, a manifold mounting arrangement is provided wherein a leg manifold is securely mounted midway along its length rather than at its sprue bushing and whereby thermally induced length changes are accommodated outwardly from its centre. Additionally, a first end of the leg manifold is clampingly secured between a sprue housing and a manifold insulator to avoid movement of the first end toward the sprue upon a sprue break portion of the injection moulding cycle.

  • Patent number: 6808148
Abstract: A mounting system for a flat display screen, particularly a plasma display screen, suspends the screen separately in each of the x-, y- and z-directions. A series of frames located by linear bearings and isolated by springs and dampers allows separate controlled movement in each axis. The system enables the use of relatively larger display screens in vehicles in which plasma screen are subject to damage from vibration.

  • Patent number: 6800203
Abstract: A method is described to decompose perchlorate in a FeCl3/HCl aqueous solution such as would be used to regenerate an anion exchange resin used to remove perchlorate. The solution is mixed with a reducing agent, preferably an organic alcohol and/or ferrous chloride, and can be heated to accelerate the decomposition of perchlorate. Lower temperatures may be employed if a catalyst is added.

  • Patent number: 6798644
Abstract: A solid electrolytic capacitor with improved ESR before and after mounting on a circuit board is obtained by forming a cathode on a dielectric layer using a conductive polymer, especially an intrinsically conductive polymer. The polymer is then coated with graphetized carbon by dipping in a suspension thereof. After drying, the carbon is infused and coated at least once with a second conductive polymer layer before a conductive paint such as “dipping silver” is applied and the capacitor encapsulated by a transfer molding process. The application of a second conductive polymer layer improves the ESR by filling voids in the carbon layer and improves adhesion of the carbon.

  • Patent number: 6574123
Abstract: A power supply for an electrostatic air filtration unit includes an input stage, an isolation stage and an output stage. The isolation stage electrically isolates the output stage from the input stage. The output stage includes an output amplifier driven through the isolation stage by the oscillator. The output stage further includes a voltage regulator to inhibit the output voltage from exceeding a predetermined maximum voltage. The output of the power supply is insensitive to over-voltage swings in the input power to inhibit spark-over induced damage to the power supply. The power supply is encased in a resin to extend the operational life of the power supply by inhibiting tampering and intrusion of water, and enhancing resistance to corrosion and microbial damage.
