The molar ratio of (b):(f) is from about 5:1 to about 11:1 and is adjusted so that the viscosity of the composition is between 231 and 402 cps. The compositions are useful for general cleaning purposes, particularly bathrooms and toilet bowls, and also as a laundry additive.

The inventive composition imparts a residual protection on cleaned surfaces thereby assisting to hinder resoiling of the cleaned surface.
