Patent number: 6089377Abstract: The invention provides a boat-type semiconductor wafer carrier which prevents such a situation that, upon wet processing of semiconductor wafers, the wafers carried thereon are displaced from grooves thereof and inclined until they fall down or contact with each other to break themselves or damage the surfaces of them. A holding member for holding down upper portions of the wafers is mounted on the boat-type carrier, and the wafer holding member is removable from the boat-type carrier, and is mounted onto the boat-type carrier to fix the wafers aligned on the boat-type carrier. Transportation of the wafers between processing tanks is performed by transporting the boat-type carrier on which the wafers are carried.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1997Date of Patent: July 18, 2000Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Yuji Shimizu

Patent number: 6072125Abstract: A noise absorbing apparatus includes a noise absorbing unit and a fixing base. The noise absorbing unit is constituted by a pair of ferrite members and a pair of covers covering the ferrite members. The ferrite members are positioned to oppose each other to be in tight contact with each other to sandwich a cable. The fixing base is fixed on a chassis where the cable extends, and fits on the noise absorbing unit, thereby fixing the noise absorbing unit on the chassis.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1998Date of Patent: June 6, 2000Assignee: Takeuchi Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yasuichi Takeuchi

Patent number: 5989045Abstract: In a card connector (1) in which a card-shaped connection object (200) is loaded with movement thereof in a first direction and is unloaded with operation of a button (90) in the first direction, an inhibiting mechanism (63) inhibits movement of the button at a first position in the first direction only when the connection object is not loaded in the connector. The first position is determined between a second and a third position in the first direction.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 1998Date of Patent: November 23, 1999Assignee: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd.Inventor: Akira Kimura

Patent number: 5984704Abstract: A ZIF connector comprising a combination of first and second connector members attached to first and second objects to be connected, respectively. The first connector member comprises a first housing, a pair of urging plates, a slider, and a pair of flexible contact sheets. The second connector member comprises a second housing and a plurality of contacts. The first housing comprises a support portion having a curved surface for supporting, when the slider slides in the first housing towards the second connector member, an outer surface of the intermediate portion so that the intermediate portion forms a large arc. The urging plate has a pressing portion for pressing an inner surface of the intermediate portion to make the intermediate portion form the large arc in cooperation with the support portion when the urging plate is elastically deflected by the cam portion.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1998Date of Patent: November 16, 1999Assignee: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd.Inventor: Osamu Hashiguchi

Two-piece electrical connector of ZIF type using flexible printed circuit boards as contact elements
Patent number: 5975934Abstract: In a two-piece connector for use in electrical connector between two PCBs, a connector member has a pair of flexible printed circuits as two contact rows of a plurality of contact elements with opposite first and second ends being connected to one of PCBs and being brought into contact with contacts of a mating connector member, respectively. An elastic plate is fixed to the second end of each flexible printed circuit. The mating connector member has a projection and a pair of grooves into which the contacts are disposed to be exposed. Each groove loosely receives the second end of each flexible printed circuit when both connector member is mated, and the projection engages and urges each of the elastic plates to bring the second end of each flexible printed circuit into press contact with the contacts.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1997Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignee: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd.Inventor: Yoshiaki Ichimura -
Patent number: 5954530Abstract: For connecting a card type device to a counterpart connector, a connector is provided with an elastic film contact held to an inner insulator having a cam portion. The film contact has a first connection end portion and a second connection end portion opposite to the first connection end portion. The first connection end portion is electrically connected to the card type device. The second connection end portion is kept in a free state. A plate-like member has a first member end portion superposed to and fixed to the second connection end portion. A second member end portion of the plate-like member spaces from the elastic film contact and faces the cam portion. The plate-like member operates as a lever to make the second connection end portion be brought into press contact with the counterpart connector in accordance with an operation for connection.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1997Date of Patent: September 21, 1999Assignee: Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, Ltd.Inventor: Yoshiaki Ichimura

Patent number: 5951175Abstract: A thermal printer has a thermal head in which a FET is connected in series to an individual heater element of each of heater element groups which are connected in parallel with each other, and to which one capacitor for smoothing a power and eliminating a noise is connected in parallel relative to the heater element group. The thermal head performs printing on a thermal paper. The thermal printer includes a printing power source circuit, a failure detection power source circuit, a failure detection circuit for detecting a presence and absence of the failure of the heater element by comparing a voltage generated at opposite ends of the detecting resistor with a threshold value.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1999Date of Patent: September 14, 1999Assignee: NEC CorporationInventor: Masami Kawamori
