Abstract: A twist-on wire connector having a housing with a spiral tread for engaging and holding electrical wires in an electrical connection and a chamber for carrying a member having a wire passageway so that the electrical wires can be retained within the connector by a wire holder to inhibit strain therein and a method of making an electrical connection that inhibits strain of the wire by inserting a plurality of wires into a spiral thread of a twist-on wire connector, rotating the plurality of wires to bring the electrical wires into electrical connection with each other and squeezing a member around the plurality of wires to bring the member into frictional contact along a portion of the plurality of wires to axially restrain the plurality of wires and thereby inhibit strain on the plurality of wires held in the electrical connector.

Abstract: A wire connector wherein the wire engaging core and electrically insulated housing are molded with an exterior surface of a molded wire engaging core used as a mold surface as the electrically insulated housing is molded around the wire engaging core to provide a wire connector with a molded housing and a molded wire engaging core.
Abstract: An inline dispenser and purification device combination comprising an inline dispenser having fluid ports directly mateable to the ports of a fitted cartridge and a universal cartridge having no ports for connection with the fluid ports of the inline dispenser and a method of replacing a fitted cartridge located within a inline dispenser with a universal cartridge having no ports for connection with the fluid ports of the inline dispenser.
Abstract: A pet bathing unit comprising a container for supporting a pet therein, the container having a base and at least one sidewall extending therefrom, a fluid conduit having at least one fluid jet nozzle extending therefrom and located proximal the base to provide for a steady fluid stream along the base of the container to clean the underside of the pet, a drain unit located on the base of the container to provide a path from the container to a sanitation outlet for the movement of fluids and particles therethrough, at least one pet supporting surface extending from the base, and a set of channels extending along the base of the container between the at least one fluid jet nozzle and the drain unit.
Abstract: A two part biocide composition containing metal ions and bromine donor for killing microorganisms in a body of water and a method of killing microorganisms in a body of water by placing both metal ions and a bromine in the body of water to allow use of lower concentrations of bromine than if bromine were used alone as a biocide.
Abstract: A furniture frame and a furniture frame bracket wherein the furniture frame bracket comprises a bracket base, a first side member extending from the bracket base and a second side member extending from the bracket base in which the side members each include an extension located thereon wherein the side members and the extensions of the side members coact with the bracket base to wrap the bracket around a portion of a furniture frame, and a leg extending from the base for supporting a linkage between a first section and a second section of a furniture frame.
Abstract: A dual filter apparatus and a process of making a dual filter apparatus that minimizes disruption to the normal flow pattern through the filter apparatus by forming a porous medium suitable to carry a fluid activator and placing an activator proximate the porous filter medium for in situ fluid treatment and removal of debris from the fluid by screening action of the porous filter medium that entraps debris thereon.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for separating breathable oxygen gas from a source of gas and then humidifying the oxygen gas while preventing over humidification of the oxygen gas, the apparatus comprising a gas pathway located on a first side of a water transfer member, an oxygen gas pathway located on a second side of the water transfer member and a separator for separating the breathable oxygen gas from a gas located on the first side of the water transfer member and directing the breathable oxygen gas past the second side of the water transfer member while maintaining the pressure of the gas substantially equal to the pressure of the breathable oxygen gas to thereby humidify the breathable oxygen gas while preventing a moisture condensation in the breathable oxygen gas.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for coupling and decoupling optical leads while preventing twists or kinks in the optical leas as well as back reflections with the apparatus including an a rotatable optical coupler and a non-rotatable optical coupler.
Abstract: A mixing apparatus and method wherein the mixing apparatus includes a hopper having a port piston for periodically retracting to open a fluid port to allow a slug of gas to be quickly injected into the bottom of a hopper, which produces a mixing and blending of the materials in the hopper as the slug of gas flows upward through the materials in the hopper. The port piston periodically closes to seal the fluid port without allowing the material in the hopper to backflow, which would prevent between the port piston and a hopper sealing member from being brought into sealing engagement.
Abstract: A dendrimer complex comprising a dendrimer and an antimicrobial agent with the dendrimer complex placeable directly into a fluid to inhibit growth of microbes or rid the fluid of microbes. In a further embodiment of the invention the dendrimer complex is secured to a carrier, which is placed in a body of fluid and allowed to dispense the antimicrobial agent into the fluid. Once the antimicrobial agent is dispensed, the dendrimer complex can be removed and recycled to add functional groups to the dendrimer so that the dendrimer can be reused.
