Abstract: There is an apparatus for regulating air flow into a rim mounted pneumatic vehicle tire. The apparatus has an elongated valve housing 1 with an inlet end 1A, an outlet end 2 and a central portion between the outlet and inlet. The outlet end includes a rim insertion portion 3 configured to fit into an aperture in the tire rim. There is a pistion 8 disposed within the housing. The piston includes a valve member 19. A coil spring 22 acts between the housing and piston so that in use of the apparatus the piston is biased to a open position for passage of air into the tire and is movable against the spring bias under air pressure build-up in the tire to a closed position at which the valve member seals against a valve seat. The spring acts in tension and the piston and spring are located in the central portion of the housing clear of the rim insertion portion. The rim insertion portion is of a reduced size not obstructive to the mounting of the tire.
Abstract: A method of cold forming a two-part battery terminal and a two-part cold formed battery terminal comprising a cold formed lead or lead alloy slug having a male fastener protruding from a one side of the cold formed slug with a head portion of the fastener rotationally retained and embedded in the battery terminal by cold formed lead or lead alloy.
Abstract: A closed system and method that includes a source of pressurizeable molten lead connected to a mold having a mold cavity therein with the mold maintainable at sufficiently low temperature so that a charge of molten lead located in the mold cavity solidifies to thereby form a solidified casting in the mold cavity. A housing having a runner, is maintainable at sufficiently high temperature to maintain the molten lead in a molten state so that the mold cavity can be refilled with a fresh charge molten lead when a solidified casting is removed therefrom without introducing air to the closed system. A shut-off valve, having an open position to allow a charge of molten lead to flow into the mold cavity and a closed position to prevent molten lead from flowing out of the runner as the molten lead in mold cavity solidifies with the shut-off valve configurable to intensify the pressure of the lead in the mold cavity.
Abstract: A tool having a hand gripping region for rotational attachment to an irrigation system with the tool having soft bumps thereon spaced from each other and affixed to the hand gripping region to cushion the user's hand as an irrigation component is field attached to an irrigation system.
Abstract: An on-the-go twist-on wire connector for enhancing the current carrying capacity of the electrical wires contained therein with the housing having a closed end and an open end with a wire engaging coil located in the closed end of the housing for bringing a plurality of wires into surface-to-surface contact to provide a direct surface-to-surface electrical path for flow of electrical energy therebetween. Located in the twist-on wire connector is a wire adhereable electrically conducting medium the adhereable electrical conducting medium is conformable around the plurality of wires as the plurality of wires are brought into surface-to-surface engagement with the conformable electrical conducting medium thereby forming an indirect current path between the ends of the plurality of wires while retaining the on-the-go ability of the twist-on wire connector to form the electrical connection solely through twisting action.
Abstract: A boat seat is rotatably supported on a hollow, tubular, deck-mounted support post or column by a yoke or spider. A radially movable locking plate is biased by a spring member to rotatably lock the yoke in place and a lever arm can be operated to move the locking plate in opposition to the force of the spring member out of locking engagement to permit the seat to be rotatably adjusted.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for pressure casting a battery part wherein an extendible piston includes sidewalls for shutting off the supply of molten lead and an impact surface that extends in a side-to-side condition to form an end surface of a battery part cavity so that when the extendible piston is brought into an intensifying condition the extendible piston shuts off further supply of molten metal while a heat source maintains the lead in a molten state as the impact surface of the piston forms a side-to-side mold cavity surface to complete the mold cavity surface thereby eliminating unevenness in the surface of the finished battery part by generating a force with the extendible piston which is sufficient to form a battery part so that upon removal from the mold the batter part is substantially free of tears and cracks as well as surface irregularities.
Abstract: Briefly, the present invention is a paint tray assembly comprising a multi-use paint tray having a trough located therein and at least one removable paint containers retained in a lateral fit within the trough of the paint tray with the removable paint container being separately removable from the trough of the paint tray to allow for individual emptying of paint compartments in the paint tray.
Abstract: A twist-on wire connector having a housing with a spiral tread for engaging and holding electrical wires in an electrical connection and a chamber for carrying a member having a wire passageway so that the electrical wires can be retained within the connector by conforming the member about the wires to inhibit strain therein and a method of making an electrical connection that inhibits strain of the wire by inserting a plurality of wires into a spiral thread of a twist-on wire connector, rotating the plurality of wires to bring the electrical wires into electrical connection with each other and squeezing a member around the plurality of wires to bring the member into pressure contact along a portion of the plurality of wires to thereby inhibit strain on the plurality of wires held in the electrical connector.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for delivering both quick dispensing water treatment materials and slow dispensing water treatment materials from the same dispensing unit by dispensing the slow dispensing water treatment materials over an extended period of time and the quick dispensing water treatment materials in a matter of minutes to allow the container for the quick dispensing water treatment materials to be removed and replaced with either a container containing a different quick dispensing water treatment materials or a container containing a slow dispensing water treatment material and a closed container for holding a quick dispensing water treatment materials therein and for dispensing the quick dispensing water treatment material therefrom through a process of cross circulation between a fluid stream of waster and the quick dispensing water treatment material in the container.
Abstract: A shelf liner comprising a base for engaging a surface of a shelf, a panel secured to the base with the panel having at least two display areas for displaying information, in one embodiment a plurality of lips located on the panel slidably secures a first information strip to the first display area and slidably secures a second information strip to the second display area and in a further embodiment, a set of sidewall dividers having an elongated portion member are secured to the opposite sides of the base for forming a compartment therebetween.
Abstract: There is a mulifunctional finger, hand and wrist splint which includes a slab support member. In a position of use the slab support member extends along the underside of, and substantially follows the contours of, a wearer's lower forearm wrist and palm so that the wrist is immobilized. The slab support member in the area of the wearer's palm forms an anchor plate for a fracture support which is releasibly attached to the anchor at a range of positions to align with one or more finger or metacarpal fractures.
Abstract: A towable sod stacker having a pallet holder for holding a stack of sod, a conveyor for receiving and temporarily storing a plurality of cut sod slabs and a sod pickup mechanism for lifting the plurality of cut sod sections from the conveyor and vertically placing the sod slabs in any of four positions on the pallet to provide an alternately stacked pallet of sod slabs with the towable stacker conveyor laterally displaceable to permit an operator to on-the-go dump a spoiled sod slab from the conveyor.
