  • Patent number: 7362015
Abstract: This invention relates to a transformer and more particularly, to a system and method for making a transformer utilizing dynamic magnetic compaction. A coil is placed in a conductive container, and a conductive powder material, such as ferrite, is placed in the container and surrounds the coil and the turns of the coil. A power supply energizes a capacitor which subsequently provides a high energizing current to a second, energizing coil within which the container, material and inner coil are situated, thereby causing the container, powder materials and coil to be compacted to provide an electrical component, such as a transformer, motor, commutator, rotor or choke.

  • Patent number: 7361301
Abstract: This invention relates to a system and method for consolidating particulate material, such as particulate material, in order to achieve at least ninety-five percent (95%) or even ninety-eight percent (98%) of its maximum theoretical density using a relatively long duration, relatively low current density current flow through the material. In one embodiment, the consolidation system includes a feedback control for monitoring various characteristics associated with the particulate material being consolidated and providing feedback information to a power supply which controls the amount of current supplied to the particulate material in order to achieve the desired density. The consolidation system and method is characterized in that the duration of the current is greater than 0.1 second, but typically less than about 1 second, while the current is less than about 10 KA/cm2.

  • Patent number: 7350872
Abstract: A wheel supported grain wagon includes a container with sloping side walls extending to an incline bottom wall, and a gravity discharge opening is formed within one of the side walls adjacent the bottom wall. A door panel is supported by tracks for movement between an upper open position and a lower close position covering the opening. A grain discharge chute extends from the opening and has opposite side walls connected by a bottom wall. The chute is adjustably supported by a pair of horizontally aligned pivot pins projecting into corresponding slots within a pair of side support brackets secured to the container. The slots extend generally perpendicular to the side wall and have longitudinally spaced bottom notches which selectively receive the pivot pins in response to manually lifting and shifting the discharge chute for selectively positioning the outer edge of the discharge chute at different elevations.

  • Patent number: 7341548
Abstract: A resilient exercising ball is confined within a frame which defines a space around the ball so that the ball has limited universal movement. The ball is normally centered within the frame by elastic members or cords having end portions attached to the frame. The ball stretches the cords until the ball is supported by a base surface or floor, and the ball rolls horizontally within the space in response to movement of the person's body. The frame may be in the form of a rigid tubular chair with arm rests or in a circular configuration with a flexible ball support pad connected to the frame by elastic cords. The frame may also have a V-shaped configuration and be formed by releasably connected tubular sections having interfitting end portions.

  • Patent number: 7341163
Abstract: A drawn aluminum can shell has a peripheral crown which is double-seamed with an end portion of an aluminum can body to provide a can end having a generally flat center panel connected by a curved panel wall to an inner wall of an annular U-shaped countersink. The countersink has a generally cylindrical outer wall and an inner width less than the radius of the panel wall. The outer wall of the countersink connects with a frusto-conical chuckwall at a junction below the center panel, and the chuckwall extends to an inner wall of the crown at an angle of at least 16° with the center axis. The chuckwall has an S-curved intermediate configuration, the inner width of the countersink is less than the radius of the panel wall, and the inner wall of the countersink extends at an acute angle relative to the outer wall.

  • Patent number: 7341521
Abstract: A joystick control system includes a first pair and a second pair of fluid enclosed resilient tubes with each pair of tubes having generally parallel spaced pressure sensing portions confined within a support housing with one pair of sensing portions disposed perpendicular to the other pair of sensing portions. A control stick extends between the spaced sensing portions of both pairs of tubes and is supported for slight lateral or universal tilting movement. Each pair of tubes is connected to a corresponding sensing transducer which varies electrical output signals according to the pressure applied to the sensing portions of the tubes by the control stick.
