Abstract: A flexible clamp for plugging an aperture in a bone, including a plurality of flexible anchoring members, where each flexible anchoring member has a first end and a second end opposite the first end; a locking tab connected to the second end of each flexible anchoring member; and, a stabilization member slidingly engagable with the flexible anchoring members, wherein the stabilization member may be translocated from a position adjacent the first ends of the flexible anchoring members to a clamping position adjacent the second ends of the flexible anchoring members. The locking tabs engage an inner surface of the bone and the stabilization member engages an outer surface of the bone when in the clamping position. The flexible clamp further includes a ratcheting mechanism associated with each flexible anchoring member, and a plurality of pawl mechanisms formed within the stabilization member which lockingly engage with each of the ratcheting mechanisms.
Abstract: An electrical rotating machine rotor, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising a central shaft, an annular core coaxial with the shaft and two polar wheels which are axially arranged on either side of the core, of the type wherein the shaft includes at least one drive section which is axially force-fitted into a fixing bore of at least one component of the rotor so as to secure in rotation at least one of the two polar wheels of the rotor to the shaft, an intermediate sleeve being radially interposed between each polar wheel and the central shaft, and on which sleeve is mounted said polar wheel. The invention also concerns a method for making such a rotor.

Abstract: This invention relates to a disk augmentation system or situating a retainer comprising artificial supports posterior to or exterior of a spinal column and a spinal column axis. The system provides an external retainer having supports for receiving at least one artificial compression body and securing at least one artificial compression body in a supported relationship to facilitate reducing load on the one or more natural disks of a patient.
Abstract: The makeup device in particular for making up the eyelashes and/or the eyebrows, comprises a reservoir an applicator and a wiper comprising bellows and scrapers projecting from the bellows for the purpose of scraping the applicator.
Abstract: A prosthetic implant, and more particularly, with a prosthetic implant having biplanar angulation and that can be inserted into a disk area generally straight using a posterolateral approach.
Abstract: A preform for making a prosthetic limb socket includes an injection molded disk of thermoplastics material, and a peripheral portion of the disk is supported by a rigid metal ring. The ring and the peripheral disk portion have an interfitting connection which permits the disk and ring to be heated in an oven. The ring and softened disk are then inverted and stretched downwardly over a positive model of a residual limb while a vacuum is introduced through holes within the model to form a plastic socket which conforms to the model. The interfitting connection may be peripherally spaced studs on the ring and projecting into corresponding holes in the disk or may be an annular rib or arcuate rib sections on the ring which project into an annular recess or arcuate cavities within the disk. After the plastic cools, the ring is separated for reuse.
