Abstract: A dishwasher is provided that permits the efficient and economical cleaning and drying of the items to be washed in the washing container, whilst reducing the associated energy consumption. To achieve this, in addition to the washing container, the inventive dishwasher also comprises a sorption column, which is connected to the washing container to form an air-conductive link and contains a material that can be reversibly dehydrated, said sorption column being used at least partially to dry the washed items. The thermal energy that is applied in the desorption of the sorption column is used at least partially to heat the rinsing water and/or the washed items in the washing container.

Abstract: A washing container for a dishwashing machine simplified by attaching at least one cover piece with sidepieces connected at angles to a base frame. The washing container can be assembled in a simpler, less expensive manner.

Abstract: A dishwasher and a method for detecting the quantity of dishes in the washing container of the dishwasher are provided. The method includes detecting data relating to the motor operation of a circulating pump and detecting data relating to the heat increase in the dishwasher during a pre-washing phase and a heating phase and comparing the detected data with stored target values. A quantity value for the quantity of dishes in the washing container is set based upon a comparison of the detected data with stored target values. The method also includes adapting the washing program according to the set dishes quantity value.

Abstract: A machine for preparing brewed drinks is provided and includes a brewing compartment for receiving drink substrate portions and a water supply for supplying a pressurized supply of water into the brewing compartment. The water supply is oriented in the brewing compartment in such that it would spray into a user region of the machine if the brewing compartment opens prematurely. However, a safety valve prevents the supplied water from entering into the brewing compartment when the brewing compartment is open.

Abstract: A method and a device are provided for detecting the position of a closure element of a movement reversal device in a dishwasher. The device determines the position of a closure element via a comparison of a value corresponding to a predefined reference position of the closure element with a signal value of a circulation pump of the dishwasher.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes a body, a first door and a second door, where one of their edges is fixed to the opposite side of the opening of the body, and a beam which is joined to one edge of the first door which is opposite the fixed edge of the door. The beam can be pivoted by a guiding projection which can be displaced in a guiding groove on the edge of the opening, between a position when the first door is closed, in which one edge of the second door, which is opposite the fixed edge of said door, is applied to the beam, and a position when the first door is open, wherein the beam can pass to the closed second door. The guiding projection can be displaced in relation to the first door in the direction of the pivotable axis thereof.

Abstract: A kitchen extractor device includes a first body section, designed to be mounted in a fixed manner and a second body section, which can be displaced in a displacement direction in relation to the first body section. The kitchen extractor device comprehensively covers the cooking facilities but nevertheless can be easily cleaned. To achieve this, at least part of the second body section forms an external face of the body that is in transversal alignment with the displacement direction.

Abstract: An air elutriation device for an air conveying household appliance includes a housing with an air elutriation zone delimited by a filter element, a detection element in a storage space for the filter element, and a cover sheet on the filter element. The detection element can be actuated via the filter element by the cover sheet.

Abstract: A device for determining the conductance of laundry in a drier. The device comprises at least two electrodes and means for dissipating heat from at least one part of at least one of said electrodes. The invention further relates to a drier comprising at least one area for receiving laundry and at least two electrodes for measuring the conductance of the laundry, at least one of the electrodes at least partly bordering said receiving area. Means for cooling at least one part of at least one of the electrodes are also provided inside the drier. Also disclosed is a method for preventing the formation of layers on electrodes used for measuring conductance in a drier.

Abstract: An extractor hood is used for extracting and/or purifying a carrier that is contaminated with solid and/or liquid substances. In order to improve the extraction and/or purification output of an extractor hood and simultaneously to reduce the amount of maintenance required, the extractor hood uses a pre-filtering unit disposed upstream of the filter unit, whereby at least already a partial flow of the carrier to be extracted and/or to be purified is purified to a certain degree already before it reaches the filter unit that is configured as the main filter.
