Abstract: A tarpaulin dolly has a first base plate with a plurality of wheel assemblies attached to its underside surface. A flexible tarpaulin sheet is secured between an upper facing surface of the first base plate and a second base plate disposed above the sheet so as to provide a captured portion and a larger excess portion of the sheet. A method of moving material, article, or debris using the tarpaulin dolly which is particularly useful in removing used roofing shingles from a pitched roof, includes the steps of providing the tarpaulin dolly to a location, placing material, article, or debris upon the excess portion of the tarpaulin sheet or the second base plate, and moving the tarpaulin dolly.
Abstract: A rotary valve, a piston pump rotary valve assembly and a piston pump rotary valve assembly tank dispenser for use in discharging a metered amount of liquid, gel, or slurry has a valve body having a first channel pathway and a second channel pathway. The first channel pathway has an inlet opening to receive a liquid, gel, or slurry and an outlet opening to provide the same to a pathway of the piston pump assembly. The second channel pathway is segregated from the first channel pathway and includes a plurality of inlet openings, each capable of communicative alignment with the pathway of the piston pump assembly, and at least one outlet opening communicative with such inlet openings. The valve body is capable of rotation with respect to the piston pump assembly to dispose both the first channel pathway and the second channel pathway each to two operative positions to receive the liquid, gel, or slurry and to two inoperative positions blocking fluid communication with the liquid, gel, or slurry.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hollow body made of metal whose cross sectional shape changes in longitudinal direction, a tubular slug being sealed at its end and being placed into a mold that corresponds to the desired shape and that is placed in a tool, said slug being then put under high pressure from the inside by means of a pressure means, whereas the two ends of the tube are pressed against each other in axial direction during the process of deformation, the slug being submitted during deformation to a higher temperature in the area of these great deformations than in the area of smaller deformations in order to produce areas with great deformations in its cross sectional shape.
Abstract: A carrier for orienting and conveying things to be transported includes a body having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side periphery, and a second side periphery. The bottom surface is intersected by a traverse slot which is upwardly communicative with a traverse through bore. Either of the first side periphery or the top surface provides a transport section adapted to receive and convey the thing to be transported, and the second side periphery provides a drive control section suited to engage a drive mechanism. The body may include a hold lip, detent, or other structure cooperative with the first side periphery or top surface to contact, receive, and convey the thing to be transported.
Abstract: In a leno selvedge device, an apparatus for adjusting thread tension of the doup ends and of the stationary threads that are guided through the leno selvedge forming device includes a holding structure accommodated directly in front of the leno selvedge device which keeps the stationary thread and/or the doup end under resilient tension. The holding structure includes at least one eyelet, through which thread is threaded. The eyelet is kept under tension by a spring and disposes the thread in a downward direction.
Abstract: The device is used for a shut-off device for pipes comprising a spindle communicating with a shut-off device arranged in a housing, whereas the spindle is borne in an upper part of the housing so as to be axially slidable, the upper part of the housing being provided with a cover resting on the housing, whereas the interior space of the cover is communicating with the medium led through the housing, whereas the spindle (40) is provided at its lower end facing the shut-off device (80) with a ring (60) carrying at least two concentrically arranged expansion bellows, whereas the inner expansion bellows (70) is communicating with the spindle (40) and the other outer expansion bellows (50) is communicating with the flange (11b) of the cover of the housing (11).
Abstract: A seat operated lawn treatment device adapted for connection to a powered vehicle. such as a mower or tractor has a ground mobile wheeled base frame. A first subsidiary frame having a seat thereon is pivotally secured to the wheeled base frame. A second subsidiary frame is also pivotally secured to the wheeled base frame so that at least a portion of the second subsidiary frame is disposed under and moveable directly or indirectly by at least a portion of the first subsidiary frame. The second subsidiary frame includes a pair of axially aligned spaced bearings supporting an axle borne turf treatment unit and is spring biased to a raised and inoperative transport position of the axle borne turf treating unit when no weight is placed upon the seat of the first subsidiary frame. However, when weight is placed on the seat of the first subsidiary frame the second subsidiary frame is moved to a lowered operative ground-engaging position of its interconnected the axle borne turf treating unit.
Abstract: A glycol-based antifreeze/coolant concentrate to be blended in coolant in a cooling system of a vehicle is disclosed, which can effectively inhibit occurrence of cavitation damage in the cooling system while suppressing production of nitrosoamine which is a known carcinogenic substance. A glycol-based antifreeze/coolant concentrate of the present invention contains a 0.05-8.0 wt. % p-toluate and a 0.01-1.0 wt. % molybdate.
Abstract: Half heald of a leno selvedge with lifting healds, whereas the half heald has two arms that may be joined together on their upper end so as to form a head and that are provided on their lower end with a foot, whereas the foot is magnetically co-operating with the at least one magnet of the lifting heald, and whereas the foot (70, 80) of the half heald (50) is given a shape that allows the magnetic force exerted onto the foot of the half heald in the stroke direction (arrow 100) of the lifting healds (2, 3) to be smaller than in the reverse direction, whereas the foot (70, 80) is provided with an upper end being designed as a border (71, 81) so that the half heald (59) is alternately magnetically brakable by the lifting healds (2, 3).

Abstract: An antifreeze/coolant composition is disclosed, which can effectively inhibit corrosion of metals, particularly cast aluminum and cast iron, and can also inhibit cavitation damage to metals in an engine cooling system. The antifreeze/coolant composition comprises a glycol as the chief ingredient, 0.1-0.5% by weight of at least one ingredient selected from among hexanoic acid heptanoic acid and their salts, and 0.1-0.5% by weight of at least one ingredient selected from among alkylbenzoic acids having C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl and their salts.
Abstract: An archery bow stabilizer includes a first weight body and a second weight body. One of the weight bodies has structure (such as a threaded stem attached to a central longitudinal axis thereof or a threaded bore along a central longitudinal axis thereof cooperative with a threaded set screw) for engaging it to an archery bow. The other weight body has structure (such a threaded bore at central longitudinal axis thereof cooperative with the threaded stem of the other weight body or a set screw having a first end portion and a second end portion, the first end portion engaging the threaded bore of one of the weight bodies and the second end portion engaging the threaded bore of the other weight body) to releasably connect the weight bodies to each other in a single longitudinal axially aligned plane intersecting the bow and disposing the bow between the weight bodies to thereby form a stabilizer assembly having sufficient mass to provide inertia resistance for stabilizing the bow against movement.
