Abstract: The sports card tray storage and organizer device comprises a housing having a first card receiving tray section and a second card sorting and device closing tray section. Each tray section is adjacent and hingably connected to the other by a hinge and is movable between (a) a first and second tray end-to-end position for establishing a card access and card sorting tray arrangement and (b) a device closed position with the second tray section received over the first tray section for establishing a card storage assembly. The first tray section has a plurality of card receiving pockets or recesses extending inwardly from an inside surface thereof and the second tray section has a generally planar surface sufficient to cover closely the plurality of card receiving pockets of the first tray section when the second tray section is folded onto the first and latched thereto.

Abstract: A packaging tray to be folded from a blank of paper-like material, comprising end wall panels and side wall panels; the side wall panels are twice as high as the end wall panels so that the side wall panels may be double folded, with the outer side wall panel half laying on the outer side in contact with the exterior surface of the inner side wall panel half. The tray is maintained in shape by an enclosing envelope of transparent film material. Its assembling, filing and wrapping may be executed in one integrated process.

Abstract: An ironing table (40) has an ironing board (41) which is perforated by a number of bores. A vacuum pump or suction fan is mounted in a housing (47) adjacent the board (41) and can communicate with a chamber (46) disposed below the board (41). The pump or fan operate to lower the pressure in the chamber (46) thereby forming a pressure gradient between top and bottom surfaces of the ironing board (41) whereby steam will be positively drawn from an iron through the garment being ironed, into the bores and into the chamber (46). The steam will condense on the relatively cooler walls of the chamber (46) and will drain to one end due to the inclined base of the chamber (46) and can be drained away after ironing via drainage tap.

Abstract: A plastics container (10) for hermetically sealed unrefrigerated storage of perishable food that is capable of retaining the hermetic seal during steam retort cooking and sterilizing at temperatures up to 130.degree. C. The container has a body (12) and cover (16) of a lightweight, disposable nature made from thermoformable plastics barrier sheet capable of prolonged resistance to transmission of oxygen, other gases and water vapor. The container and lid have flange portions (14, 18) that are retained in contact by an injection moulded thermoplastics reinforcing clamp ring in two pieces, a plug half (24) and a socket half (26) that twist-to-lock together in screw thread manner. The clamp ring parts are preferably of polypropylene and moulded with structural cross-sectional thicknesses (t1, t2FIGS. 4, 5) at least twice the thickness of that of the body sheet.

Abstract: The guidewire extension system includes an initial or primary guidewire having a proximal end having an annular groove structure on an outer surface of the proximal end of the guidewire and an extension guidewire adapted to be releasably but firmly mechanically connected to the proximal end of the initial or primary guidewire. The extension guidewire has a distal end and a proximal end. A connecting assembly, which includes a small diameter tube having a proximal end and a distal end, is mounted at the distal end of the extension guidewire and has a coiled spring received in the tube that is constructed and arranged to receive and grippingly engage and mechanically lock with the annular grooved structure on the outer surface of the proximal end of the initial or primary guidewire in a thread connection.

Abstract: A modular casing for a remote control comprises a keyboard having keys thereon for selecting a predetermined function or channel selected from a group of keyboards having different layouts or shapes of keys and adapted to mate with a circuit board having switches thereon corresponding to the keys; an upper housing member having ports for receiving corresponding keys of the keyboard which extend outwardly at least partially through the ports when coupled thereto which is selected from a group of upper housing members having different layouts of ports for different layouts or shapes of keys and with or without an overlay panel; a panel section with grooves; and a lower housing member. The upper member is slidingly received in the grooves of the panel section to form a unitary cover which is secured to the lower housing member by screws or snap-fit interaction.

Abstract: A multiple lock dental floss holder comprises a body cooperative with a spool enclosure assembly to achieve multiple locking of a operative length of dental floss. An intermediate portion of the body of the dental floss holder has a through bore opening on one side to a spool receiving cavity and on the other side to an irregular surface. A spool enclosure piece or base is received into the spool receiving cavity and has an annular cavity between an annular flange skirt and a central hub or base for receiving a spool of dental floss. The central hub or a pin extends through the through bore of the intermediate portion and connects to a cap or cooperates with a pin base also having an irregular surface that is complimentary with the irregular surface of the intermediate portion to selectively achieve a mating or non-mating engagement therewith to selectively allow release or capture of a length of dental floss between the irregular surfaces.

Abstract: The PLANK SUPPORT JACKET comprises an upper horizontal ledge and a lower horizontal ledge joined to a vertical wall member, each ledge extending from the vertical wall member in a direction opposite each other and means for connecting the vertical wall member to a longitudinal side surface of a plank of wood to be supported thereby such as to dispose the lower horizontal ledge adjacent the underside surface of the plank and the upper horizontal ledge in substantially axial alignment to the upper surface of the plank.

Abstract: The intra-luminal ultrasonic instrument includes a catheter comprising a body, a flexible rotatable drive shaft within the body, an opalescent tip coupled to the flexible rotatable drive shaft having a distal end and a distal end portion adapted to be introduced into a lumen and a proximal portion, and a transducer mounted in the tip for rotation at a selected rpm, the catheter having a diameter no greater than 3 millimeters, the flexible rotatable drive shaft having a central longitudinal channel containing coaxial cable cooperative with conductors to connect the transducer to a source of energy for energizing the transducer to produce and supply sound waves, and the transducer having a top surface comprising a matching layer of a conductive polymer set upon a piezo plate.

Abstract: A deflector plate support includes a support body having an integral frame-like construction and a first end portion and a second end portion each of which are connected to a perpendicularly disposed border that is connected to an inwardly extending wall disposed perpendicular to the border. Each end portion of the support body, each border, and each inwardly extending wall are joined to a base at a common end thereof to thereby define, in association with the support body, a slot for vertically or horizontally receiving, releasably retaining, and orientating the deflector plate such as to expose a front deflection surface or a plurality of front deflection surfaces of the deflection plate.

Abstract: A non-radioactive method of detecting a ligand and antiligand complex labelled with alkaline phosphatase or a tracer having alkaline phosphatase conjugated thereto comprises reacting the complex with bromo-chloro-indolyl phosphate (BCIP), phenazine methosulfate (PMS) and dimethylthiazol diphenyl tetrazolium (MTT) and allowing the reaction to proceed to produce a colored formazan or a color change indicative of the presence of the labelled complex. A solution or composition of bromo-chloro-indolyl phosphate (BCIP), phenazine methosulfate (PMS) and dimethylthiazol diphenyl tetrazolium (MTT), as well as a test kit including the same, is also provided for carrying out the chromogenic method of detection.

Abstract: A wall mounted skateboard storage rack comprises a base plate having a back planar surface and a front surface including an upper and lower portion which is provided with a hole or holes, preferably vertically aligned at the horizontal center line of the base plate, that serve as a port or ports for a nail, screw, rivet, lug, pin, or bolt to be inserted therethrough to affix the base plate to a wall, a pair of skateboard support arms located at the upper portion of the base plate front surface which are horizontally aligned from each other in spaced apart relation to receive and support a pair of wheels of a skateboard, and either brace surfaces provided at the outer side end of each skateboard support arm or guide members attached to the base plate at a lower portion thereof and in horizontal alignment from each other in spaced apart relation to receive and secure therebetween a pair of wheels of a skateboard to thereby contain the skateboard in substantially vertical alignment with the base plate.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for the largest recovery of ethylene and propylene from gas produced by the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons, wherein any liquid current produced by the fractional condensation of the raw gas up to a definite temperature is directly fed to an ethane fractionating column (deethanizer) the bottom product of which is the purified current containing almost all propylene, while any current condensed at lower temperature is fed to a methane separating column (demethanator) provided with a reboiler in which the partial condensation of the overhead vapor of the deethanizer occurs, and the bottom product of the demethanator contains all ethylene.

Abstract: A weight adjustable dumbbell including two spherical shells joined by a short bar, each spherical shell comprising two equal parts connected by a respective lock bolt, with circular cushion plates retained therebetween to hold any of a variety of counter weights, wherein the circular cushion plates have a center hole, through which the respective lock screw bolt is inserted, a plurality of projections spaced around a peripheral edge thereof at equal intervals extending out of the respective spherical shell for protecting the spherical shells against impact, and two annular grooves on two opposite sides around the border into which the peripheral edge of either semi-spherical shell of the respective spherical shell fits respectively.
