Abstract: A unit for modifying the automobile frame of a Volkswagen, VW, Super Beetle to accommodate a standard Volkswagen, VW, ball joint torsion bar front assembly including the wheel mounting assembly thereon. The unit includes a rearwardly directed clamping structure which includes a pair of spaced apart clamp plates for clamping about the tunnel portion of the VW, Super Beetle framework and a forwardly directed clamping assembly for mounting the standard assembly thereon by providing spaced apart clamping elements to receive and clamp the torsion bar housings of the front axle assembly therein.

Abstract: A water bed construction which includes a water and air containing bladder and an innerspring support for the same, the bladder and support combination being enclosed within a covering, the covering material being removable from the combination. The entire assembly giving the appearance of a standard innerspring, mattress combination.

Abstract: An attachment for use with miter box or other blade guided saws including a rigid frame member with upstanding links for connection of the frame to the blade portion of the guided saw and having downwardly directed links for receiving and holding a selected, second blade such that the second blade may be guided in the same manner and with the same structure that is used to guide the main or first blade. The normally provided handle of the guided saw may be utilized or a handle may be provided on the rigid frame.

Abstract: A fluid pressure servo detent mechanism for controlling movement of a piston within a cylinder including one-way inlet and outlet valves for controlling the fluid pressure within the cylinder with linkage means interconnecting the inlet and outlet valves and the moveable piston for simultaneously actuation thereof. A control or sensing rod is carried by the piston for movement therewith to provide a control element for articles to be controlled or to sense the position of the piston and the flow of fluid or receipt of pressure to the outlet may be utilized to determine the position of the piston and as a signal to additional equipment.

Abstract: A device for obtaining the proper end to end orientation of articles that are delivered to the device in a random orientation, the articles having a common longitudinal characteristic, the device including a rotating pick up and feed device for introduction of the articles to a first fee conveyor, an inspection device arranged to scan the article being carried therepast on the conveyor, a selector responsive to a signal from the inspection device and actuated in response thereto to shift the article into position for rotation, allow the same to continue its travel without rotation or to eject the article dependent upon the size of the article and a rotating wheel element to accomplish the rotation of the articles that are positioned for rotation by the selector and to propel and deliver such articles and those articles that do not require rotation to a final delivery conveyor.

Abstract: A headdress or headcovering which includes an inflatable, helmet portion for positioning and retain the same upon one's head and an inflatable caricature portion attached to the helmet portion thereof. The helmet portion including a formable, resilient portion of sheet material to conform to the head of the user and having an inflatable peripheral portion to surround the lower edge thereof and hold the same about the user's head, the inflatable caricature portion including an attachment portion for attaching the same to the helmet portion and including a separate inflation unit for the inflatability of the same.

Abstract: A collapsible and portable, tent-like structure including a frame portion and a covering portion for the frame and including frontal and rear panels which are easily attachable to the frame portion when the same is erected. The structure allows a plurality of units to be joined in end-to-end relation. The frame structure is provided from a plurality of scissor sections having selected portions of each scissor section being joined to the next adjacent scissor section with the sections of one scissor section being positioned with respect to the next such section to bring other selected portions thereof into abutment with other selected portions of the next adjacent scissors section. This relationship allows both an over-center relation of adjacent scissors sections and also provides an abutment locking arrangement between adjacent scissor sections. The unit also provides cover tensioning means for the main covering of the framework and means for securing the unit to the ground or other supporting surface.

Abstract: A spring cushioning mounting for beet harvesting devices to permit upward movement of the harvester should the same engage a rock or the like including an attachment, L-shaped member mounted on the carrier for the harvester to engage a tool mounting bar and be received therearound and a pivot secured to the tool mounting bar with the upward leg of the L-shaped member pivotally received therein and spring loading elements connecting the other leg of the L-shaped member with the pivot member to normally bring the L-shaped member into position against the tool bar.

Abstract: An adapter for converting a standard square headed bolt to a T-Bolt for use with machine tools for holding workpieces to the bed thereof. The adapter includes a fabrication having a capturing area formed by downwardly extending legs of the unit for receiving and retaining the head of a square headed bolt and having transversely directed elements above such capturing area to be received into the guide slot of the machine tool bed. The combination of the capturing area and the transverse elements, with an aperture to pass the shaft of the bolt from the capturing area, provides a means for retaining a square headed bolt within the T-Slot of a machine tool bed such that the same may be used as a tool or workpiece hold down device.

Abstract: A device for exercising or developing balance, the device including a rockable support member provided by arcuately formed supports, a rotatable cross bar extending between the upper ends of the supports with the bar being selectively rotatable and the bar carrying a support plate upon which the user may stand. The support plate is also rotatable. The combined, available movements between the rockable support member, the rotatable cross bar and the support plate provides a tri-axial possibility for the user. The rotatable bar is lockable in a non-rotative position or limited rotation or full rotation.

Abstract: A process for dyeing the shells of eggs by applying a dry granular dyeing medium to the hydrated shell. The dyeing medium includes dye and rock salt. The shell may be wetted in whole or in part prior to applying the dyeing medium with water or vinegar. The process may be done in a plastic bag or by sprinkling the dyeing medium onto the wetted shell.

Abstract: A movable console unit for dispensing drugs or other selected articles while retaining other carried articles therein. The device includes downwardly and forwardly directed ramps for loading the articles and delivery of the articles. A number of the ramps are arranged in vertical relation to one another and a selector belt is provided for each of the sets of ramps. The selector belt is selectably movable about the entire ramp structure and is provided with two openings which are maintained in alignment with the rear and forward end of one of the ramps such that articles may be loaded into or delivered from one such ramp in each vertical set. A stop mechanism is provided to extend across the front portions of the ramps and this stop mechanism permits discharge of one article from the ramp with which the opening of the selector belt is aligned.
