Abstract: An adjustable searing grate for a barbecue grill comprises a cooking surface and an outrigger device. The cooking surface comprises a plurality of searing wires arranged in a substantially parallel configuration and a longitudinal member disposed substantially perpendicularly to the plurality of searing wires. Each of the plurality of searing wires has a substantially oval cross-section. The longitudinal member supports the plurality of searing wires. The outrigger device is adapted to slidably engage the cooking surface. The outrigger device is slidably fixed along one of the plurality of searing wires and the longitudinal member in order to adjust a dimension of the adjustable searing grate.

Abstract: An outdoor fireplace including a combustion chamber that has a top portion and an ash pan. The top portion and said ash pan are rigidly connected by a plurality of substantially vertical supports. The outdoor fireplace further includes a base, the base providing an upper portion and a support structure. The upper portion substantially spans the area spanned by the ash pan and is connected to the ash pan such that an integral airway is formed between the ash pan and the upper portion.
Abstract: An encapsulated weight system for resistance training comprising a first dumbbell having a center portion with a borehole disposed axially therein forming an interior load area. The first dumbbell further comprises a first end cap and a second end cap, wherein the first end cap and the second end cap are arranged and configured to releasably engage opposing ends of the center portion, thereby covering the interior load area. At least one weight capsule is arranged and configured to substantially correspond to at least a portion of the interior load area. The weight capsule can be alternately added and removed from the interior load area of the first dumbbell to alternately increase and decrease weight of said first dumbbell.
Abstract: A method and system for evaluating the water stress status of growing crops in nearly real time employing remote monitoring of entire crop-growing areas, rather than sampling or spot checks, at sufficiently high resolution to recognize features in the crop-growing area, especially to distinguish between crop foliage and non-foliage features, and requiring minimal additional measurements of environmental parameters in the crop-growing area.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the present invention incorporates a cooking chamber, including a lower portion and a lid that cooperate to define a cooking enclosure. Preferably, the lid is moveably mounted to the lower portion, and the lower portion has a lower surface, which is arranged at least partially beneath the cooking enclosure. Additionally, the lower surface preferably includes an opening formed therethrough that cooperates with a firebox so that an interior of the firebox engages in fluid communication with the cooking enclosure via the opening.
Abstract: A barbecue grill cart including a right leg frame assembly and a left leg frame assembly, each having a front leg and a rear leg, the front leg and the rear legs being connected by a support member. The cart further includes a front panel and securing means, the securing means being disposed through the front panel and the right front leg and the left front leg.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment incorporates a grill casting support assembly which includes a tank support strut mounted thereto. The tank support strut is configured to mount an LP gas tank thereon and preferably is configured with a first end and a second end and first and second support surfaces spaced therebetween. Each of the first and second support surfaces are adapted to engage a portion of the LP gas tank, with the tank support strut being engagable with the LP gas tank in a receiving position and a mounted position. In the receiving position, the LP gas tank can be arranged in a substantially horizontal orientation so that it contacts the first and second support surfaces, and, in the mounted position, the LP gas tank is arranged in a substantially upright orientation so that it contacts the first and second support surfaces. Preferably, a grill casting is mounted to the grill casting support assembly.
Abstract: A rotatable handle for use with an associated cookware item including an attachment member having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end being rotatably secured to a first portion of the cookware item and the distal end having a gripping member disposed thereon. The first portion also includes a handle locking member. A locking mechanism is slidably disposed on the attachment member between the gripping member and the proximal end, the locking mechanism being arranged and configured to engage the handle locking member and being slidable between a first position and a second position. When the locking mechanism is in the first position, the handle is rotatable relative to the first portion. When the locking mechanism is in the second position, the locking mechanism engages the handle locking member, thereby securing the handle relative to the cookware item.
