Abstract: A switching cabinet has a frame made of stays and with open sides that may be at least partially closed by wall elements that can be secured to the stays of the framework. In order to secure the wall elements to the framework in an manner invisible from the outside, projecting hook elements are fixed on the inner side of the wall elements, matching hook elements can be hooked into said projecting hook elements and the matching hook element can be mounted on the framework stays so that the hook elements may be hooked onto them.

Abstract: Disclosed is an environmental test apparatus having a thermal chamber for stress testing electronic products. The apparatus has a carrier for supporting the products in the chamber and equipment for monitoring product characteristics during stress testing. The improved apparatus has an auxiliary chamber in which ambient temperature and humidity conditions prevail. A flexible partition is interposed between the thermal and auxiliary chambers, the monitoring equipment is in the auxiliary chamber and the carrier having products under test mounted thereon is in the thermal chamber. A conveying mechanism is in the auxiliary chamber and the support platform is in driven engagement with such mechanism, thereby causing movement of the platform along the auxiliary chamber.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for binding together sheet-like articles such as photos or documents. In combination, the device includes a first cover and a second and a plurality of sheet-like articles interposed between the covers and secured therebetween by adhesive. A first closure member is secured with respect to the first cover and the second cover includes a second closure member coacting with the first closure member, whereby the closure members secure the covers in an article-protecting relationship.

Abstract: The disclosure involves the combination of a vehicle chassis such as that used on a construction machine, e.g., a loader/backhoe. The chassis has a channel and a holding tank, e.g., a hydraulic oil tank, supported on the channel by first and second tank mounting ears. In the improvement, the channel includes a panel having outer and inner surfaces and first and second mounting plates are against the inner surface. First and second mounting fasteners extend through the first and second tank mounting ears, respectively, through the chassis panel and into the first and second mounting plates, respectively. A new method for mounting a holding tank to a vehicle chassis is also disclosed.

Abstract: This invention relates to a new and useful color pigmented moisture curing polyurethane coating that has an adjustable drying time, as well as methods of producing the coating. The coating is suitable for use as a protective and/or decorative coating. The coating comprises one or more specified color pigments, polyisocyanates, polyols, tertiary amines, and blocked amines. The blocked amines, in conjunction with the tertiary amines, allow the coating to dry slowly once the coating has been applied, resulting in a defect free surface. Furthermore, an additional catalyst, comprising a metal catalyst may optionally be added to the coating immediately prior to use in order to speed up the rate of drying of the coating, allowing for very precise control of the drying speed of the coating. Additional optional ingredients may be added to the coating composition, including ultraviolet light stabilizers, wetting agents, solvents, and agents to increase slip and flow.

Abstract: A floodlight has a housing and a housing support coupled to the housing. In the improvement, the support includes a strut extending along a strut axis and having a distal end and a pivot member at a proximal end. The pivot member is mounted for movement about an axis of rotation and has a boundary spaced from the axis of rotation by a first dimension. The housing includes a housing surface proximate the axis of rotation and spaced therefrom by a second dimension less than the first dimension. The housing includes a recess therealong and when the strut is folded against the housing, the strut is received in the recess. A group of floodlight components comprises a main housing and two or more differently-shaped center housings. The attachment portions of the center housings are sized and configured to be interchangeably received at the main housing forward opening. The group thereby accommodates any one of several different lamps, e.g., PAR 20, PAR 30 and/or PAR 38.

Abstract: An apparatus for sharpening a chain saw includes a frame, a file guide carriage having at least one guide bore capable of receiving a file therethrough, and a guide bar attached to the frame. The file guide carriage is mounted with respect to the frame so as to allow for sliding movement along an axis and an elongate opening in the carriage is coincident with the axis. The improvement includes at least one easy-to-remove adjustment screw that has spaced-apart inward and outward bearing surfaces threaded into the elongate opening. A bearing member extends from the guide bar and is interposed between the bearing surfaces. This bearing member includes a first aperture aligned with the axis and having a first diameter that allows for the receiving of the adjustment screw, and a second aperture overlapping the first aperture and having a second diameter greater than the first diameter.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to novel detergent compositions having polyalkoxylated amine foam stabilizers. The new foam stabilizers of the inventive detergent compositions build or enhance foaming and are particularly useful because of their surprisingly mild, non-skin-irritating characteristics. Mildness is a requirement of components to be included in or used in applications such as liquid dish detergents, hand cleaners and car washes.

Abstract: An article for framing a visual work includes a framing member, the rear surface of which has first and second adhesive portions. A transparent sheet adheres to the first portion and a bifurcated cling film adheres to the second adhesive portion. A pocket is formed between the sheet and the film for receiving the visual work. A method for making an article for framing a visual work includes providing a framing member having a rear surface and adhering a transparent sheet on the first adhesive portion of such surface. A cling film is mounted on a second adhesive portion of the rear surface and in a manner such that the cling film overlays the transparent sheet. The cling film is bifurcated by slitting it, thereby providing an access slot for inserting the visual work between the sheet and the film.

Abstract: The cytogenetic chamber includes a chamber enclosure, a drying cavity in the enclosure, a door and a hand-insertion port through the door. A slide-supported, fixative-treated cell (prepared outside the chamber or in situ in the chamber) is in the drying area and air flows through the entirety of the drying area at a substantially uniform (and relatively low) flow rate. The fixative dries at substantially the same drying rate, irrespective of the location of the slide in the drying area. The invention is particularly useful for chromosome spreading and results in a significantly-increased percentage of metaphases having metaphase areas in the optimal range of 2,500 to 4,500 squared microns.

Abstract: A pourable low-foaming alkoxylated amine oxide surfactant concentrate and method for making the concentrate are disclosed. The amine oxide concentrate has novel properties in that it is both highly concentrated and pourable at ambient temperatures. The amine oxides of the amine oxide concentrate include from about 3.5-30 moles of alkoxylated units and may be based on ether and/or fatty tertiary amine precursors. The low foaming properties and pourability of the amine oxide surfactant concentrate make the invention ideal for low-foam applications and for use in surfactant formulations.

Abstract: A multi-purpose fishing bucket having a bucket member and a cover-seat member in which the cover-seat member includes a floatable ring, a detachably-engaged separate middle portion, and a line secured to the ring and to the middle portion such that, detached but tethered, the ring may be thrown for rescue purposes. Preferred embodiments include a line-spooling structure on the middle portion, friction fit of principal parts, and a tip-up holder member preferably removably nested within the bucket member.

Abstract: A propeller device includes a shaft rotatably supported in a marine engine, and a hub secured to the shaft and having three or more axially extending keys. A propeller housing includes three or more pairs of lobes for forming keyways and for engaging with the keys of the hub. The keyways include a narrower outer end for preventing the housing from disengaging from the hub. Three or more stops are disposed between the pairs of lobes. A retainer disc includes a number of angularly spaced ears for engaging with the lobes and the stops and for preventing the propeller housing from being disengaged from the propeller shaft.

Abstract: A device for shrouding the spur of a fowl includes a spur cover having an outer surface. In the improvement, such outer surface is seam-free. The cover is made of molded material which is homogeneous between the wall of the spur-receiving cavity and the cover outer surface. A highly preferred device has a generally cylindrical cover and cylindrical spur-receiving cavity and the cover and attaching straps are integrally molded as a unitary structure.

Abstract: A tray for supporting a plurality of nail packs is provided. The tray includes a generally rectangular planar tray body having a nail supporting surface and an outer periphery. A stiffening wall projects vertically from the outer periphery of the tray body and terminates at an upper end. A generally planar lip extends laterally from the upper end of the stiffening wall. A sensing structure extends vertically from the nail supporting surface of the tray body beyond the upper end of the stiffening wall.

Abstract: An apparatus for use when washing a person's hair includes a liquid catch member having an inward, head-surrounding portion with an opening for receiving a person's head. A ring-like support member is spaced outwardly from such portion. In the improvement, the catch member is fully flaccid, i.e., free of reinforcement or auxiliary support devices, between the portion and the support member. And the catch member has a tunnel-like passage receiving the support member therealong. The cross-sectional area of the passage is greater than that of the support member so that the latter can be readily threaded into and removed from the catch member. In more-specific embodiments, the head-surrounding portion includes a drawstring or elastic band, to fit all head sizes, and a disposable "one-time-use," person-contacting strip. A new method is also disclosed.

Abstract: A liquid-cooled IC engine is in combination with a heat exchange apparatus therefor and the apparatus includes a radiator and a belt-driven fan. In the improvement, a pair of fan support stanchions are fixed with respect to the radiator and a fan carrier assembly is slide-mounted with respect to them. In a highly preferred embodiment, there are two springs urging the assembly for translational movement in a belt-tensioning direction. A tube-like arbor is mounted with respect to the panel and a bearing-supported shaft extends through the arbor and couples the fan and a driven fan pulley to one another. A flexible belt is driven by the crankshaft pulley and drives the fan pulley. The crankshaft pulley rotates at engine speed and has a first diameter and the fan pulley has a second diameter greater than the first diameter. The fan pulley (and the fan) rotate at a speed less than engine speed, thereby reducing fan noise.

Abstract: The improved builder's level is used by carpenters, masons and the like for determining parallelism or perpendicularity with respect to a horizontal plane. The level has opposed depressed channels extending along its length, thereby permitting the level to be more securely gripped. The body of the level has interior ridges and an interior web for reinforcement and to properly position liquid-containing vials in such body.

Abstract: A track suspension system for a vehicle having a frame and a continuous flexible track. A drive wheel is attached to the frame for engaging and driving the continuous flexible track. A leading idler arm is pivotally attached to the frame on each side thereof and a leading idler wheel is rotatably mounted for engagement with the track. A trailing idler arm is provided on each side of the vehicle and is pivotally attached to the frame and a trailing idler wheel engagement with the track is rotatably mounted to one end of each idler trailing arm. A leading mid-roller assembly engagement with the track is operably attached to the leading idler arm and a trailer mid-roller assembly is in engagement with the track and is attached to the trailing idler arm. A cushioning device interconnects the leading and trailer idler arms for providing shock absorbing function.
