Abstract: This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a metal-supported tubular micro-solid oxide fuel cell, and a fuel cell made from such method. The method comprises the steps of coating a wooden substrate member with a conductive substrate layer, coating the substrate layer with an inner electrode layer, coating the inner electrode layer with an electrolyte layer, drying and sintering the coated substrate member such that the substrate member combusts, coating the electrolyte layer with an outer electrode layer, and then drying and sintering the layers.

Abstract: A conduit junction box replacement cover for electrical conduit junction boxes. The replacement cover can replace a conventionally designed cover on a conduit junction box that contains corroded or otherwise damaged threaded holes rendering the installation of a conventionally designed junction box cover difficult or costly. The removable replacement cover has a flat inside surface and a rim that overlaps the outer walls of the body of the junction box. The removable replacement cover can be installed by inserting set screws through the rim to make secure contact with the body of the junction box. A flat gasket on the inside surface of the replacement cover and positioned within the rim seals the junction box from adverse environmental conditions. The rim of the replacement cover can contain several cut-outs to permit the installation of the replacement cover on conduit junction boxes that contain one or more external hubs.

Abstract: A cup and lid in combination. The cup includes a side wall, a closed bottom and an open top. One of the side wall and the lid includes a recess defined therein, and the other of the side wall and the cup lid includes a connector that is adapted to be temporarily secured in the recess.
Abstract: In a method for operating a radio station, the radio station periodically receives content files via a satellite data channel. The received content files are stored. At least some of the stored files are then retrieved, played and broadcast in accordance with an electronic schedule. In accordance with another method, a plurality of affiliate radio stations are provided with content files via a satellite-based content delivery system. Each of the affiliate radio stations is also provided with an electronic schedule that instructs an automation system of the affiliate radio station to retrieve, play and broadcast ones of the content files, thereby generating a near real-time radio broadcast. Methods and apparatus for recording said content files for tiers of affiliates, and for recording said content for multiple or singular affiliates, are also disclosed.
Abstract: A cup and lid combination that includes a cup having a side wall, a closed bottom and an open top, a lid configured to close the open top of the cup, and a tether connecting the lid to the cup. In a preferred embodiment, the cup includes a band extending therearound, and one end of the tether is connected to the band, and the other end of the tether is connected to the lid.
Abstract: A photo album insert for holding at least one photograph and at least one compact disc. The insert includes at least two sheets of generally planar material, where at least one of the sheets is substantially transparent. Both of the sheets have a top edge, a bottom edge and first and second opposing side edges. The sheets are generally fixed relative to each other. The insert also includes at least a first photograph stop disposed between the transparent sheet top edge and the transparent sheet bottom edge to define at least a first photograph receiving area, and at least a first compact disc stop disposed between the first photograph stop and the transparent sheet bottom edge to define at least a first compact disc receiving area. The first compact disc receiving area overlaps with and at least partially extends below the first photograph receiving area, and the first compact disc receiving area and the first photograph receiving area cooperate to define a first photograph/compact disc pocket.
Abstract: A pressure sensor system for measuring the pressure of a corrosive media includes a silicon plate forming a diaphragm and a glass plate or ring bonded to said silicon plate with an opening over the diaphragm. The diaphragm has resistive areas of different orientations to provide first resistive areas which have increased resistance with diaphragm deflection, and other areas which have decreased or little change in resistance with diaphragm deflection. The resistive areas may be formed by doping the silicon plate. The resistive areas have broad doped connectors extending outward to areas beyond the seal between the glass plate or ring, to wire bond areas on the silicon plate. Accordingly, the wire bond pads are not exposed to the corrosive media.
Abstract: A brake lever assembly for actuating a hydraulic disc brake system is shown and described. The brake lever assembly provides two-stage braking by operatively connecting a lever to first and second pistons contained in a master cylinder. The first and second pistons are operatively connected to one another such that they move together until the first piston reaches a threshold distance from a top end of the master cylinder, after which the second piston moves with respect to the first piston.
Abstract: A method and system for providing travel services are disclosed. The method and system include a database of travel information from which information can be selectively obtained based on the traveler's circumstances. The method and system also include a system for providing counseling services and an emergency kit containing food, water and other supplies. A mobile communications device is also provided to enable the traveler to transmit his or her location in order to initiate the dispatch of a rescue services provider to transport the traveler to a location of greater safety.
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for aligning an optical instrument with respect to a celestial coordinate system, the optical instrument having a field of view and an optical instrument coordinate system, the celestial coordinate system having a plurality of objects each having celestial coordinates. The method includes the steps of receiving a plurality of captured optical instrument positions in the optical instrument coordinate system along with a plurality of associated capture times; calculating, for each associated capture time in the plurality of associated capture times, coordinates in the optical instrument coordinate system for the plurality of objects to create a plurality of calculated object positions for each associated capture time; and, determining, for each associated capture time, a match for each captured optical instrument position in the plurality of captured optical instrument positions with the plurality of calculated object positions to create a list of actual alignment objects.
Abstract: A brake lever assembly for actuating a hydraulic system is shown and described. The brake lever assembly comprises a housing, a master cylinder disposed in the housing, and a master piston disposed in the master cylinder. The master piston has an adjustable dead band. A lever is connected to the housing and has an adjustable reach. The lever is pivotable about a first axis to adjust the reach and is pivotable about a second axis to actuate the master piston.
Abstract: A method for providing image correlation between the images displayed on a PACS system, the method including the steps of: displaying a first image from a first stack of images and a second image from a second stack of images, each stack of images belonging to a different series of image captures for a subject from a particular orientation; determining a spatial location of each image in the first and second stacks of images; receiving a selection signal for an image in the first stack of images; determining a corresponding image in the second stack of images based on the selection signal and the spatial location of the corresponding image; and, displaying the corresponding image. An apparatus for displaying correlated images based on anatomic triangulation.
