Abstract: A device and method for stretching, toning and strengthening the chest, shoulder, neck and upper back muscles of a patient thereby relieving pain and improving posture. Typically the patient is suffering from tension related muscle problems. The device and method are used to facilitate therapeutic treatment of the muscle problems by progressively stretching the muscles and thereby relieving the muscle problems.

Abstract: An electrophoresis apparatus is generally disclosed for sequentially analyzing a single sample or multiple samples having one or more analytes in high or low concentrations. The apparatus comprises a relatively large-bore transport capillary which intersects with a plurality of small-bore separation capillaries and includes a valve system. Analyte concentrators, having antibody-specific (or related affinity) chemistries, are stationed at the respective intersections of the transport capillary and separation capillaries to bind one or more analytes of interest. The apparatus allows the performance of two or more dimensions for the optimal separation of analytes. The apparatus may also include a plurality of valves surrounding each of the analyte concentrators to localize each of the concentrators to improve the binding of one or more analytes of interest.
Abstract: Enclosed rotisserie with added convenience, including a countertop resting box-like enclosure housing a safety rear mounted heating element and a power rotated dual rod spit assembly. The gear driven spit assembly may be easily inserted and removed straight into and out of the enclosure without need for angling or coupling the assembly to a power drive socket. The spit assembly may also be mounted at various distances from the heating element to decrease cooking times. The open front of the enclosure is from time to time covered by an inclined glass panel door which may be opened in various ways to facilitate food insertion into and removal from the enclosure, and which may be easily removed for cleaning or other purposes. Grease-tight rotisserie/barbecue gloves make food handling easier and safer.
Abstract: A method for communication between a sender and a receiver, including receiving data in the form of an M-of-N code, where the M-of-N code includes a first component of length n1 and a second component of length n2; decoding data in which the first component is an m1-of-n1 code and the second component is an m2-of-n2 code; and decoding data in which the first component is an m3-of-n1 code where m1?m3 and the second component is an m4-of-n2 code where m2?m4.
Abstract: An apparatus for achieving the return of a chain to a rear derailleur tension pulley more easily by means of pedaling action when the chain falls off from the tension pulley is provided. The rear derailleur is equipped with a base component, a link mechanism, a movable component, Outer Plate 20, Inner Plate 21, Guide Pulley 22, Tension Pulley 23, and Chain Return Section 32. The base component is a component which is mounted on the frame. The link mechanism is a mechanism of which one end is mounted on the base component. The movable component is a component which is mounted on the other end of the link mechanism, and which can be relatively displaced from the base component. The outer plate is a component which is mounted on the movable component so as to undulate like a see-saw. The inner plate is a component which is installed so as to face the outer plate.
Abstract: An electric heat sealer for sealing workpieces such as plastic bags or the like includes a casing defining a battery chamber, a press bar pivotally connected to the casing, a sealing mechanism supported on a compression spring in a spring holder inside the casing, and a safety device. The sealing mechanism is electrically connected to produce heat for sealing the workpiece being put thereon when the press bar pressed against the sealing mechanism. The safety device breaks the electrical circuit when the apparatus is not in use.
Abstract: A brake lever assembly for actuating a hydraulic disc brake system is shown and described. The brake lever assembly provides two-stage braking by operatively connecting a lever to first and second pistons contained in a master cylinder. The first and second pistons are operatively connected to one another such that they move together until the first piston reaches a threshold distance from a top end of the master cylinder, after which the second piston moves with respect to the first piston.
Abstract: A facestock releasably adhered to a liner sheet is die cut to form one or two compact disc labels, and two diametrically opposed tabs on each compact disc label and located so that one edge of the tab is in contact with one of the compact disc labels and is perforated. The liner side of the tab also has a die cut patterned so that it generally follows the outline of the tab, but which forms a shape which is inside of and slightly smaller than the face cut tab pattern. After the label sheet has passed through a printer or copier and the desired indicia has been printed on the labels, at least one of the tabs is pushed through from the reverse side of the sheet, or pulled through via a sheet opening partially separating the tab from the rest of the sheet. The tab, which is mostly free of exposed adhesive in that it is still laminated to the die cut section of release liner, is then grasped from the face side, and lifted upward, pulling the compact disc label away from the label sheet.

Abstract: A label applicator including a support surface having a central area and curving downwardly from the central area. A post assembly extends up from the central area such that a label having a label through-hole can be positioned in a support position generally on the support surface with the post assembly extending up through the label through-hole and an adhesive face of the label facing up. Thereby an article having an article through-hole can be positioned over the post assembly so that a flat surface of the article can be pressed and guided against the adhesive face of the positioned label. The curved surface flattens out as the article is pressed down, allowing the label to be smoothly applied to the article. Pins extending up adjacent to the support surface engage in notches on the label and help hold the label in place.

Abstract: A hand-held electric sealer used for sealing a plastic bag or the like, including a casing, a sealing mechanism, a press bar, and a safety device. The sealing mechanism has a heating wire, which produces heat for sealing the plastic bag or the like when turned on. The safety device controls the heating of the sealing mechanism, and stops the sealing mechanism from being triggered accidentally.
Abstract: A photo album insert including a sheet of material; and a transparent cover overlaying the sheet, resulting in a generally rectangular sandwich, the sandwich having an upper edge, a bottom edge and a side edge, the side edge being sealed such that a sealed portion of the side edge extends no more than half an inch from the side edge.
Abstract: A method of forming printable media including providing a laminate construction which includes (1) a film coated liner having a film layer on a liner and (2) a facestock adhered with an adhesive layer to the film layer of the film coated liner. The facestock, the film layer and the adhesive layer together form a laminate facestock. The facestock is cut to the liner to form facestock cut lines defining at least in part perimeters of printable media. Areas of the liner cover backsides of the facestock cut lines and thereby hold the printable media together for a printing operation on the printable media in a printer or copier and allow the printed media to be removed from the liner after the printing operation into individual printed media.

Abstract: Disclosed is a skin care appliance capable of realizing various skin care modes using an oscillator vibrating up and down in the way of a magnetic coil, conducting the galvanic massage and the iontophoresis massage based on the oscillator, and making the magnetic-color-sound therapy. The skin care appliance includes a case with a predetermined shape, and a vibration unit installed within the case and having an oscillator. The oscillator oscillates in the way of a magnetic coil upon receipt of the power from a power supply unit. An outer electrode is charged to a polarity opposite to the polarity of the oscillator, and placed at the case. A switch unit is provided at the case. A control unit controls the vibration unit in accordance with the signals from the switch unit.
Abstract: A printable sheet including one or more envelope assemblies formed thereon, each having a central body panel, an end flap, a pair of opposing top and bottom panels, a business card removably attached and incorporated into the bottom panel, and a retaining flap. The sheet is capable of being placed in a printer to have images and/or indicia printed on the envelope assemblies. Each envelope assembly is capable can be removed from the printable sheet and folded along weakened lines, and adhered to itself to form a secure sleeve or envelope for holding various items. Each envelope has a retaining flap on the open end that can be tucked into the envelope after insertion of its contents in order to retain the contents, which could either be used or removed if desired. The envelope could be designed to readily hold business card compact discs. The business card can be subsequently separated by the user from the formed envelope.
