Abstract: An apparatus and method for transmitting a voice packet in a wireless communication network are provided. The method includes generating voice data of a fixed length, which includes a voice packet having a length that is determined according to a rate of the voice packet, and a Forward Error Correction (FEC) code, and transmitting the generated voice data through a fixed resource.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for supporting an HARQ scheme in a wireless communication system are provided. In a method for operating a base station, whether a resource used for a system of a different standard and a resource used for one of an HARQ reply and an HARQ retransmission packet by a synchronous HARQ scheme collide with each other is estimated. A collision packet ID is allocated to an HARQ subburst corresponding to one of an HARQ reply and an HARQ retransmission packet estimated to collide, and an offset of the one of the HARQ reply and the HARQ retransmission packet is changed. A MAP message including at least one of the collision packet ID, and changed offset information is generated. The MAP message is transmitted.

Abstract: An outdoor gas heater used in the field is provided. The outdoor gas heater includes a primary combustion net having a dual net structure. A wind-proof cover is provided to protect a thermocouple. Fuel gas is concentrated into a fuel gas discharge hole formed in the wind-proof cover so that an initial ignition performance is improved. A support is provided to support the outdoor gas heater from the top surface of a gas container. A fuel gas inlet tube is vertically installed between a head unit and a safety valve while being spaced apart from an adjustment handle, and a fire extinguishing safety device is provided behind the fuel gas inlet tube, so that the fire extinguishing safety device is hidden by the fuel gas inlet tube, thereby minimizing a volume of the gas heater without degrading aesthetic appearance of the gas heater.

Abstract: A digital video broadcasting system, digital video broadcasting terminal, and method for providing file information in a file download service are provided. To this end, the digital broadcasting system includes a broadcasting server for transmitting an Electronic Service Guide (ESG) comprising a schedule event fragment wherein, if files that provide the file download service comprise a file set generated by grouping at least one file, the schedule event fragment comprises the information about files included in the file set, and a terminal for receiving the ESG, for evaluating the schedule event fragment of the ESG upon receipt of a request for downloadable file information, and for evaluating the information about the files included in the file set and displaying the information if the schedule event fragment comprises the information about the file set.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for operating multiple Operating Systems (OSs) in a multi-modem mobile communication terminal are provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of modems and a multiplexer/demultiplexer (MUX/DEMUX) module. The modems support an access to different wireless networks. The MUX/DEMUX module receives data of the corresponding wireless network from the modems, searches for OSs corresponding respectively to the modems with reference to a modem-OS mapping table, and provides data of the corresponding modems to the searched OSs.

Abstract: A method for editing a playlist and a multimedia reproducing apparatus employing the same. The method for editing a playlist includes displaying a list including a plurality of content stored on a content reproducing apparatus, determining a content registration state indicating whether specific content on the list is registered in a playlist if a specific command is input during the displaying of the list, and displaying a menu including the content registration state. Accordingly, since a plurality of playlists is supported, the user can edit the playlist more diversely and more conveniently.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for enabling a terminating-side Push-To-Talk (PTT) over Cellular (PoC) client to open a PoC session by using a pre-established session, and to maintain the pre-established session when the terminating-side PoC client terminates the open PoC session, and a PoC system and a PoC User Equipment (UE) for implementing the same. To this end, a REFER BYE message is used to terminate the PoC session while keeping the pre-established session maintained. The REFER BYE message must include information, such as pre-established session parameter information, a session IDentifier (ID), etc. Also, the REFER BYE message is transmitted from the PoC client to the PoC server, and the PoC server receives the REFER BYE message, checks the contents of a header in the received message, and terminates the PoC session while keeping the pre-established session maintained when a specified condition is satisfied.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for preparing a playlist in a sound source data player are provided. For the preparation of the playlist, the position of a sampling of the sound source data is set by user's arbitrary selection or by searching out the thematic part of the sound source data. Then, if the sampling time taken for playing back the sampling has been set, the player plays back the sound source data file selected by moving a cursor from the position of the sampling. Finally, the user adds the individual information of the presently selected sound source data to the playlist. Thus, the user may quickly and readily sample a large number of songs stored in the player and thus more easily prepare the playlist.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for notifying a change of system control information in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes, changing a Group Configuration Change Counter (GCCC) and upon change of a Secondary-Super Frame Header/Sub-Packet1 (S-SFH/SP1) whose transmission period is changeable within a range of one or more super frames, changing the GCCC and information representing the change of the common control message upon change of at least one common control message, and transmitting the GCCC and the information representing the change of the at least one common control message.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling an Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ) reset in a broadband wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus includes an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) sender for receiving one or more data from a transmitter, a controller for determining whether the data is received in order and a memory for constituting selective reset information according to a result of the determining. The method includes receiving one or more data from a transmitter, determining whether the data is received in order and constituting selective reset information according to a result of the checking. Hence, the performance degradation can be prevented by shortening the TCP timeout and the break time (the time of no traffic transmission).

Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating a Media Access Control (MAC) Protocol Data Unit (MPDU) in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes reconstructing at least one MAC Service Data Unit (MSDU) according to scheduling information of the MAC layer and generating at least one MPDU data portion, adding control information to each MPDU data portion and generating at least one MPDU payload, adding a General MAC Header (GMH) to each MPDU payload and generating at least one MPDU, and transmitting the MPDU to a receive end. The control information includes at least one piece of MSDU information constituting each MPDU data portion. The GMH includes length information on the MPDU and Connection IDentifier (CID) information.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing a MultiCast and BroadCast Service (MCBCS) in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system are provided. The method includes receiving a message comprising information relating to a broadcast channel which carries a service guide, from a Base Station (BS), receiving service guides relating to one or more service providers over the broadcast channel using the information, when the received service guides are fragmented service guides having a certain size, generating a unified service guide by reassembling the fragmented service guides and when one service provider is selected, filtering only a service guide of the selected service provider in the unified service guide and displaying the filtered service guide in a display. Thus, the channel transition time can be reduced.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for transmitting data by a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) that communicates with a first communication equipment supporting a first communication protocol and a second communication equipment supporting a second communication protocol. The apparatus and method includes receiving data packets from the second communication equipment, determining a data grant interval of the first communication equipment according to a preset Quality of Service (QoS) scheme of the first communication equipment, determining an amount of data to be transmitted for the data grant interval, collecting data packets from the received data packets below the determined amount of transmission data, and transmitting the collected data packets to the first communication equipment every data grant interval.

Abstract: A system and method for presence subscription delegation in a multi-domain environment in an SIP-based presence system are provided, in which a watcher transmits a presence subscription delegation request to a presence subscription delegation handler of a delegating user, the presence subscription delegation handler performs delegation authorization for the received presence subscription delegation request according to a presence delegation authorization rule of the delegating user being authorization information about presence subscription delegation, and a presence server of a presentity receives the presence subscription delegation request from the presence subscription delegation handler, performs presence authorization according to a presence authorization rule of the presentity, and transmits presence information about the presentity to the watcher via the presence subscription delegation handler.
