  • Patent number: 4907835
Abstract: A removable arm rest apparatus for use in a truck cab utilizes an upright tubing structure and a flat arm support member projecting normally outward therefrom. Compressive mounting means enclosed within the uppermost end of the tubing structure position the tubing structure firmly between the cab roof and cab floor. A washer encircling the tubing structure positions the arm support member at the desired location. Movement of the washer along the longitudinal axis of the tubing structure adjusts the height of the arm support member relative to the cab floor. The apparatus may be easily removed and disassembled for storage and subsequent use in another truck cab.

  • Patent number: 4900301
Abstract: Ocular perfusion during intraocular surgery of the anterior or posterior ocular cavity is optimized through the method of using a gas pump having a discernible and controllable output pressure to pressurize a reservoir of liquid infusate, which is supplied under pressure to a surgical infusion instrument for perfusion of the selected ocular chamber (Gas Forced Liquid Infusion, GFLI). The infusate selection and the infusate pressure can be controlled with a high degree of accuracy and both can be rapidly varied by audible command. Preferentially a human sensible indication of pressure is constantly available at the gas pump.

  • Patent number: 4886122
Abstract: A dispensing tool for use with dry chemical fire extinguishers utilizes an elongated wand bent near the discharge end through which the chemical is delivered. A dispersion baffle is affixed at the outlet of the wand to deflect the chemical radially. A horn surrounds the baffle and redirects the chemical in a dispersed stream onto a fire at a much lowered velocity such that the impact of the chemical on the burning material does not dislodge sparks or embers which lead to secondary fires.

  • Patent number: 4886051
Abstract: A massaging bed that provides a deep penetrating massage utilizes a narrow tread roller assembly reciprocated by a carriage beneath a flexible cover member. The roller assembly provides essentially point contact with the user's body such that the upward force of the roller assembly is concentrated in a small area which by virtue of the rotation of the roller assembly and reciprocation of the carriage moves laterally and longitudinally in a non-repetitive pattern.
