Abstract: A disposable diaper is provided having at least one pocket or pouch for containing an attached waste bag. The waste bag has an upper end adapted for sealable closure. The disposable diaper includes an elongated slit which provides entry into an interior cavity that is adapted to contain an auxiliary waste bag. The disposable diaper is embellished with ornamentation, decorative patterns, and symbols so as to represent a particular theme.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for applying an atomized liquid solution upon a person, comprising a spray enclosure booth; an exhaust vent located below an anticipated user's facial area zone, the exhaust vent disposed within the bottom tray or a lower area of at least one wall or a lower area of a door and configured for exhausting ambient atomized liquid solution from the spray enclosure booth; a rigid conduit support defining a central air flow conduit connected to a bottom tray and pneumatically connected to an exhaust vent and providing structural integrity to the enclosure booth; an atomizing spray head assembly movably connected to the rigid conduit support and physically supported by the rigid conduit support; and an exhaust system configured to exhaust ambient atomized liquid solution from the spray enclosure booth by drawing atomized solution into the exhaust vent then through and out of the rigid conduit.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the present invention, an electric knife is provided that includes a blade that is adapted to cut the pulp and shell of pumpkins and other fruits and vegetables but not readily cut the skin and flesh of humans. According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the electric knife also includes a shield that that is adapted to prevent fruit or vegetable matter from entering the housing of the electric knife.

Abstract: A massage device for providing cold or hot massage therapy including a liquid reservoir and a rotatable ball positioned in an open end of the reservoir. The reservoir is at least partially filled with a liquid that is heated or cooled. The liquid in the massage device is heated or cooled. The rotatable ball is heated or cooled through heat transfer between the liquid and the rotatable ball. Massage therapy can be provided using both the reservoir portion and/or the rotatable ball of the massage device.

Abstract: A thin flat body of clear plastic with a key pad (20) on the inside back base (12), and a chord scale (22) on the outside front of the base (10). The chord scale is fitted with braille nodules (24) for guiding the proper placement of the fingers on the EZ chord. On the bottom or lower side of the base (10) (12) is a gripping angle (14) for the learning chord device. On the top or upper side, and bottom or lower side of the base (10) (12) are gripping angles (14) (16) for the universal chord device. One EZ chord is a device that when manipulated by a human hand, or an artificial hand, is pressed and positioned onto the guitar neck, fret and strings to form and sound guitar chords and/or notes. The EZ chord devices can be used by mentally, physically, or visually handicapped people as well as non-handicapped people, to play and/or learn to play the guitar.

Abstract: The muzzle release apparatus allows an operator to remotely and wirelessly disengage a restraint system from the snout of an animal. The system is activated using a small hand-held transmitter. A receiver on the collar detects the signal from the transmitter and electronically engages a solenoid mounted on a restraint under the animal's jaw. The solenoid retracts a locking mechanism that secures two metal pins to the restraint. Each pin is attached to a strap that goes around the animal's snout and is permanently mounted to the opposite side of the restraint. When the pins are released from the restraint, the straps slide off the snout allowing the restraint to fall freely away from the jaw area. The plate is attached to a collar around the animal's neck. The plate will stay attached to the collar at all times, even if deactivated.

Abstract: A tossable pet toy is provided in either an annular or disc shape. The ring or disc comprises a perimeter having an inner rib and an outer rib, the ribs forming an interstitial space therebetween for holding a consumable pet treat. The inner rib is a single, continuous rib circumscribing the innermost portion of the ring. The outer rib is a single, continuous rib circumscribing the outermost portion of the ring. The inner rib and outer rib are concentric, with the outer rib having a greater circumferential distance than the inner rib. The interstitial space formed between the ribs is likewise a single, continuous space circumscribing the area between the ribs. The space accommodates the placement of at least one treat, and may accommodate a plurality of treats along the circumference of the ring.

Abstract: A joint for flat rigid parts comprises projections, which are embodied on the mating sides of the parts in the form of bulbous breadths at the edge thereof and necks at the basis thereof, and complementary joggles, which are embodied in the form of bulbous slots corresponding to the bulbous breadths of the projections and gradually changing into grooves corresponding to the projections necks. The surfaces of the projections edges and the surfaces of the slots bottoms mating therewith are embodied in the form of cones, wherein the peaks of the conical surfaces of the projections edges and of the slats bottoms are arranged an the opposite sides with respect to the connecting parts. The radius of curvature of the guiding lines of the conical surfaces of the projections edges and of the slots bottoms can be embodied in such a way that they tend to infinity; at least one connecting part can be embodied in the form of a through-thickness composite part.

Abstract: A blanket with integral vibrating mechanisms for awakening a sleeper during an emergency. A control box receives information and based on an array of user settings, the control box will either actuate the vibrating mechanisms or produce a sound capable of being heard with the human ear. The control box receives information through its antenna from various authority agencies. The control box may be limited in who it may communicate with, what language it may produce sounds in, or at what distance it is allowed to communicate.

Abstract: An apparatus that provides for rescue of victims trapped in a body of water is disclosed. The invention utilizes a conventional fire hose as the main component of the invention. One end of the hose is capped with a retrieval end comprising a solid cap with a swivel based tether. The end is also provided with a pair of removable rudders which aid in the guiding have said apparatus in a controlled manner through the water. The opposite end of the fire hose is capped with a pressurizing mechanism that allows for the inflation and deflation of the fire hose. When inflated, the preferred embodiment floats upon the water surface thus providing for simplified water rescues. The invention is also envisioned as providing simplified ice rescues as well. The use of the present invention provides a greatly simplified method of water rescue which not only provides for quicker rescues for victims, but increased safety for rescue personnel as well.

Abstract: A chew toy has a bone portion impregnated with a soft solid along an interior thereof to simulate the taste and texture of bone marrow, and has a meat portion impregnated with liquid to simulate the taste of meat. The bone portion is defined by an elongated shaft terminating at opposite ends. A first terminal end and a second terminal end of the shaft are defined by a pair of condyles, or in the alternative, by a rounded body. The elongated shaft is defined by a narrow middle portion and widening at a first terminal end and a second terminal end. The meat portion circumscribes a terminal end the bone portion. The meat portion further extends toward a middle portion of a shaft of the bone portion, wherein a sufficient quantity of the bone portion is available for use by a canine.

Abstract: A hideable tracking monitoring apparatus is provided for communicating the presence of an emergency to a monitoring station. The monitoring station then triangulates the location of the emergency signal and alerts an emergency response vehicle.

Abstract: A tape gun is provided having a pistol-grip type handle supporting a tape dispensing roller upon which a roll of tape is mounted for rotatable dispensing. A tape pressure plate guides the dispensed tape onto a package, with a guide roller mounted in the tape path between the dispensing roller and the pressure plate. The roller is made of or incorporates a magnetic material, such as a neodymium magnet or equivalent. The packaging tape itself incorporates a magnetically attractive material, such as iron dust or wires or other magnetic metal within or on the tape backing in a manner that comes in contact with the magnetic guide roller.

Abstract: A food and beverage article dispenser is provided which is adapted to be surface mounted. The apparatus is adapted to dispense disposable or nondisposable cups and plates. The apparatus includes a paper towel roll holder, a storage drawer, and a fold-away utensil organizer.
