Abstract: The present invention deals with the ability to transform a variety of inert, synthetic, popular, modern nonwovens and other filamentous materials into reactive products having a wide and diverse varying nature due to the coatings that can be successfully applied. This principle holds true especially for the web forming nonwovens of which the high lofts are an ideal dimensional matrix material, for not only having a good carrying capacity for a wide variety of active ingredients, but can scrub and entrap soils and particles as well, sometimes simultaneously. The active ingredient is held and protected within the open cell of the carrier media by means of an adhesion enhancing agent, such as a tackifier, that is coated on the fibers of the nonwoven carrier.

Abstract: A tap is provided that allows multiple streams of draught beers to be dispersed from one keg handle. The tap has one tap handle, one spigot, at least three fluid streams for connecting to at least three pressurized tanks corresponding with the fluid streams. A floating transfer block functions as a selection valve that aligns with a selected fluid stream no that multiple streams of draught beers to be independently dispersed from said one tap handle.

Abstract: A casting net is provided that allows for easy use. The casting net includes a tail portion and a mouth portion that are connected by a mesh lattice netting. The tail portion is of a smaller diameter than the mouth portion, and the tail portion is substantially closed allowing only a torque line assembly to pass through. The mouth portion is of a substantially larger diameter than the tail portion, so as to provide a larger area for capturing targeted species. A plurality of weights are affixed along the circumference of the mouth portion for providing weight so as to sink the casting net assembly. Along the circumference of the mesh lattice, and in close proximity to the mouth portion, a reinforcing means is affixed so as to provide structural support to the mouth portion and thereby maintaining an open position of the mouth portion as the casting net falls through the water.

Abstract: A tanning bed air filter is provided that filters incoming air that is provided to tanning beds. An air filter, complete with holder, filter media, and cover screen is provided on the outside of the bed. The filter provides for the filtering of incoming air to the bed, which may be sucked in by internal fans, or by natural convection due to the heating property of the bed. The cover of the invention allows for easy removal, thus exposing the filter media, which may be cleaned or replaced.

Abstract: A spinner handle for waiving a sport's fan banner-towel comprising an ergonomic handle and a banner-towel grasping attachment. The generally elongated cylindrical handle comprises a neck at a distal end which separates it from a rounded head. The neck is received in an aperture formed on an attachment body having two hingedly attached parts that fold onto one another. A corresponding, interlocking stud-and-tube coupling system is comprised on the two attachment body parts. When the parts fold onto one another, the studs are received in the tubes so that a banner-towel placed therebetween doesn't slip out.

Abstract: A pet toy is provided having an interactive stimulus that actively engages the pet's senses during use. Stimuli include sight, sounds, smell, taste, and sound, and can include a combination of more than one such stimulus.

Abstract: A toy is provided that simulates a mouse tail moving randomly in and out and back and forth about the access orifice, thereby catching the pet's attention and stimulating the animal's instinctive curiosity.

Abstract: A method is provided for activating a zirconia oxygen sensor which detects the oxygen concentration of an ambient atmosphere by means of a zirconia element that has a porous electrode formed on both sides of an impervious oxygen ion conductor. An electrical current is applied as a pulsed, square wave, direct current during heat up, heat soak, and cool down of the ionic conductor that is applied to ceramic substrate, thereby causing oxygen ions to flowing through the sensor body and pumping oxygen gas through the sensor electrodes, thus improving electrode porosity distribution.

Abstract: An improved automated litter box comprises a motorized comb or rake drive mechanism for removing clumps, a means for cycling the drive mechanism, and a cat proximity sensor for sensing the relative position of a cat about or within said litter chamber. The cat proximity sensor is capable of identifying the location of a cat outside the litter box or litter box or litter chamber. The cat proximity sensor comprises a passive or inductive transmitter for identification for modulating and demodulating a radio frequency (RF) signal; and an antenna for receiving and transmitting a radio frequency (RF) signal.

Abstract: A lightweight, absorbent, disposable pad, and particularly to a lightweight, absorbent, disposable pad that entraps particles, retains liquid, and eliminates odors is provided. The pad can be used in a variety of ways in households, automobiles, and industry. The instant abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in this specification nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

Abstract: An ergonomic holding assist device for endoscopes comprises an attachment mechanism to removably secure the hand assist device to an endoscope. An ergonomic component comfortably fills a space made between a naturally extended palm and the grip portion of the endoscope. A center plate sandwiched between the attachment mechanism and the ergonomic component provides an approximate ½-inch clearance to a top of the device so that the ergonomic component reaches a thenar crease of the palm more comfortably. The flexor tendon of the thumb is comfortably supported by the ergonomic component so that endoscope-work-related injuries are avoided.

Abstract: A multiple-ratio drive transmission comprises first and second spaced disc systems, each system of which is composed of three separate discs: (1) a retention disc located at an outermost side; a pin receiving disc located at an innermost side; and, (3) a pin holding disc sandwiched between. Each disc comprises concentric rings of proportionally spaced holes through which corresponding pins are maintained, inserted, retracted, or traversed. As the disc system rotates, each pin on a ring associated for a selected gear passes through a shifting zone in which a ramp mechanism is inserted. A plurality of selection cams rotates to urge a sequential outward deflection of cams. By rotating the selection cam, sequential deflection cams extend into the drive position; they urge a pivoting of a select deflection ramp. The ramp for the pre-selected gear ratio causes the ring to extend to the drive position. As the pins lift, the chain impinges and the gear ratio completely changes during one revolution.

Abstract: An air filter assembly is provide in conjunction with a cat litter receptacle that includes a supporting structure for a filter element. The filter element is formed of a porous structure incorporating activated ingredients specifically adapted for deodorizing unpleasant odors. The activated ingredients include activated carbon, carbon fiber, and zeolite, as well as combinations of carbon and zeolite.

Abstract: A hanger includes a standard hook having a contoured shoulder section extending downward therefrom. A first, continuous and fixed shoulder terminates proximate to a flexible lower bar. The second shoulder terminates at a fixed, upper portion, but it remains connected to its lower portion by means of a tension arm therebetween. The lower portion of the second shoulder is continuous with and formed with the flexible lower bar such that a conventional hanger shape is formed. The tension arm, however, provides a means for the lower portion of the second shoulder to push upwards and away from the static portion so that an article of clothing can be secured between the lower bar and a horizontal, static arm that extends below it. A spring formed between the first shoulder and an egress in the lower bar closes the lower bar on the extension arm.

Abstract: A fishing lure release apparatus is a quick release system that allows rapid interchanging of fishing lures on a fishing. An closed wire loop eyelet opposite a posterior open end clasp are opposed along a linearly elongated wire form. The posterior open end clasp forms an attachable hook element that is impinged by a spring urged closure. The hook element is inserted into a inner tubular cavity of the closure causing an impingement of the hook opening for securely holding and maintaining a mechanical coupling to anything attached thereto, while at the same time providing easy removal by sliding the closure upward along the body of the wire form.

Abstract: An artificial Christmas tree stand comprises a receptacle, at least three equally spaced legs radially extending therefrom, an equal plurality of braces pivotally extending upwards from the legs' lengths, and outer struts and corresponding inner struts that travel a track in the braces' lengths. The legs pivot downwards 90° to collapse the stand for storage. The brace is extendable about a height of the tree trunk so that its claws can engage the trunk at a manually manipulated height. The braces essentially support the trunk upright as opposed to the conventional receptacle.

Abstract: A grip cleaning and rising devices includes a dual tubular body having a closed lower end for holding separately both soapy and rinsing fluid, and an open upper end for receiving the grips or handles to be cleaned longitudinally therein. Cleaning is effected by a single helical brush with multiple turns that is simply threaded into position in the washing body. A splash guard is also provided as an impinging lip that extends into the receiving orifice. A smaller diameter rinsing tube is in fluid isolation from the cleaning solution. A cap may optionally be provided to close the top of the grip washer when not in use or for transportation from one place to another. The simple tubular construction enables the grip washer adapted for use as a mobile unit, with a laterally extending base to allow the user to stabilize the device by placing his or her feet over the base edge.

Abstract: A post hole shoring device is provided for receiving and securing a vertically extended 4×4 post. The post would be placed within a hole, secured with concrete, and the hole formed would be backfilled with the soil removed from the hole. By use of the shoring device around the post at the bottom of the hole, additional vertical support is provided to strengthen the vertical installation and prevent movement of the post. The shoring device can be back-filled over, or even filled with aggregate or concrete to provide additional support at very little cost and without modifying conventional materials or construction techniques.
