  • Patent number: 7168339
Abstract: A dual headed hammer is a hammer with special features for framing and finishing applications. A first head of the hammer has a smaller head and face for finish carpentry applications, and may have a gridded-face to prevent nail slippage. A nail-extractor is located midway between the head and the handle. The opposite end of the hammer has a larger second head for framing applications. Additionally, the larger second head has a plurality of nail holders, complete with magnets, on the top and lateral sides of the second head. The handle is sized such that the total length of the invention is exactly 17.5 inches to aid in construction of walls that use 2×4 studs, 16 inches on center.

  • Patent number: 7165592
Abstract: An apparatus for application of strip material to an object comprises a base supporting and mechanically rotating a mandrel projected therefrom, wherein an object is seated onto the mandrel. The object is securely held to the mandrel by a plurality of clamps engaging and impinging the object thereto. At least one applicator assembly is urged forward to apply strip material to the object, each applicator assembly comprising a material spool for dispensing strip material and a back spool for collecting strip material backing separated from the strip material during application. After application of the strip material, an arm and scalpel sever the strip material, and the applicator assembly pivots to apply the remaining end portion of the strip material.

  • Patent number: 7163702
Abstract: This present invention discloses use of a chloroform/solvent mixture extraction at different solvent-to-feed ratios, followed by evaporation and extraction with ethyl acetate/water; followed by chromatography of the water phase in Teflon or other non-polar resin and Silica gel column chromatography for recovering of individual triterpene glycosides (saponins) of high purity from the freeze dried or spray dried cooking water or dried powderized tissues of the industrial processed sea cucumber Cucumaria frondosa. A resulting glycoside Frondoside A stimulates lysosomal activity of peritoneal macrophages, phagocytosis and oxidative burst in the macrophages at concentrations significantly less than for acute toxicity, hemolysis and sea urchin embryo toxicity.

  • Patent number: 7159473
Abstract: A tube mounting assembly for total traverse or static traverse sensing tubes is provided for use with Pitot tube devices where the tubes are allowed to expand and contract independent of the flow element shell. A female threaded pipe cap is tack welded or otherwise affixed to the inside internal surface of the flow element shell. A ½ inch NPTX tube fitting of the bore-thru fitting type is affixed to the pipe cap, and a traverse tube, sealed by high temperature packing or thread sealant between the tube and a tube nut, are then affixed to the opposite end of the bore-thru tube fitting.

  • Patent number: 7156703
Abstract: An electrical tap connector is provided having a housing that forms a first attachment section aligned with a second attachment section. Each attachment section forms a conductor receiving orifice into a conductor receiving channel. The housing about each section forms a pair of opposed and offset screw receiving orifices which are threadingly engaged with a set screw. The each pair of opposed and offset set screws mechanically bind an electrical conduct in a tortuous, crimped pattern within the receiving channel.

  • Patent number: 7143780
Abstract: A faucet hose anti-tangling guard for a shut-off valve is a molded plastic shield that has a prolate shape, divided across a short axis into two portions. The rear portion attaches over a water shut-off valve assembly using two plastic brackets assembled with screws. The front portion is positioned over the valve handle. A recessed aperture in the front portion provides access to the valve handle without removing the invention. A foam gasket prevents the shield from slipping. With the guard in proper position, the faucet hose cannot wrap around the water shut-off valve while the hose is being drawn from its housing for use. The guard also eliminates the possibility of the hose turning the shut-off valve.

  • Patent number: 7117859
Abstract: An air bleed vapor system is provided having a primary vapor manifold connected to a fuel line take-off for providing a source of liquid fuel to the system. A vapor control module incorporates a precision needle valve for allowing metering of extremely small flowrates of liquid fuel into the vapor manifold. A pressure line is inserted into the PCV intake of a vehicle, and a secondary vaporization chamber is in fluid communication with the pressure line and the vapor control module, and provides an oxygen intake chamber into which an air-fuel mixture can be held at the pressure of the vehicle's crankcase ventilation system. Finally, a delivery vaporization conduit in the form of a linearly elongated chamber is in fluid communication with the PCV manifold of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7111528
Abstract: A hand tool is provided with a flexible arm containing a flexible gripping strap. The strap forms an adjustable closed loop positioned at one end, and extends through the arm at the other end. The loop is used for securing to a nut, bolt, or similar part that is positioned in a difficult to reach place. The flexible arm may be bent and formed to hold a specific shape, thus allowing it to fit into areas where most common hand tools cannot. Tension on the loop is increased by pulling the rubber strap. A lock secures the strap to retain the tension.

  • Patent number: 7104222
Abstract: A toy is provided that includes a clear plastic ball to be readily movable along a supportive surface, such as the ground. Within the ball there is located a motorized character assembly. The character assembly has an upper housing cover in the form of a mouse or other rodent that would visually trigger an instinctive response in a cat or some breeds of (hunting) dogs. Beneath the upper housing cover is a motor which operates a drive wheel assembly. The drive wheel assembly is to be in continuous contact with the inner surface of the ball. The wheels further are made of soft rubber that does not slide in the internal ball surface, but rather causes the ball to roll and be propelled forward.
