  • Patent number: 5883570
Abstract: The invention is a decorative cover/actuator which can be used as a stand alone device or in combination with a door bell. The cover is pivotally mounted on a surface with an adjustable lever extending out the back of the cover. When the cover is pressed toward the wall, the push lever rings the door bell and actuates an electronic circuit inside the cover that can display lights, emit sounds, including music and voice, and cause movable objects on the cover to move.

  • Patent number: 5775022
Abstract: The invention is a self-propelled floating decoy for simulating the swimming characteristics of waterfowl. Propulsion in the water is produced by a sculling tail fin (25) which also causes a side to side rocking motion that simulates the back and head movement of a live duck paddling its feet. The decoy includes a flat base (11) with a shallow draft. The flat bottom of the base (10) is the lowest point in the water with no obstructions that would become entangled in congested water. An opening (11c)in the rear end extends through the base (11) so that an electric motor(16) driven propulsion system moves a tail fin (25) coupled to said propulsion system through the opening (11c). A decoy shell (9) representative of a water fowl is attached to the base (11). The tail fin (25) moves from side to side providing a motion to the decoy approximating the motion of a swimming water fowl.

  • Patent number: 5752343
Abstract: An add-on control device is shown that is used in conjunction with existing garage door opener systems. The device includes an electronic control device that will automatically close the door if left open, or can be programmed to stay open, and will automatically close an open door when it gets dark. The device includes a control circuit, connected in parallel with the push button control of the garage door opener, actuated when the garage door is opened. A timing circuit having at least two selectable timing cycles is actuated when the garage door is opened and closes the garage door after a selected timing cycle. A cancel circuit cancels the selected timing cycle when the garage door is to remain open. A reset circuit, called the cancel switch is used for re-initiating the selected timing cycle to close the garage door.

  • Patent number: 5735146
Abstract: The invention is a cam locking rod devices for securing doors on intermodal cargo containers, semi-trailers, utility trailers, trucks, and other similar cargo storage compartments. The lock rod device is used in conjunction with a rotatable cam lock rod, having cam locks on each end, mounted on a container door for securing the container door in a locked condition. A locking cylinder, through which the cam lock rod extends, has at least one locking projection thereon which interacts with at least one projection on a sliding latch, which when intermeshed prevents rotation of the cam lock rod. A pad lock is used in conjunction with the sliding latch to lock projections on the locking cylinder and slide latch in a meshed position which prevents rotation of the cam lock rod.

  • Patent number: 5709204
Abstract: The invention is a mask that can be used as an aircraft passenger oxygen mask, survival and escape mask. The mask includes a connector ring for connecting an oxygen supply. The oxygen connector is held connected to the mask by a pin, but can be removed with the pin in place by utilizing a break-away ring mounted in and held in place in the mask by an O-ring. Valves in the mask and connector allow a person to breath in oxygen and exhale while the oxygen supply is connected, and to continue to breath in through a filter and exhale through a valve after the oxygen supply has been removed.

  • Patent number: 5669861
Abstract: The invention is to a weight device that creates a controlled and infinitely variable transpositional force greater than the weight being lifted. A vertical shaft has a pair of grooves which spiral about the shaft, increasing the slope from the bottom to the top of the shaft. A pair of rollers in the grooves have shafts that extend through and support a sleeve that is placed over the vertical shaft. The roller shafts are mounted in a pair of mounts that are on each side of the vertical shaft. A sprocket pulley is mounted on an end of the vertical shaft. As the sprocket is turned, the rollers are moved up the grooves, moving the sleeve upward against an increasing resistance to upward movement. A stack of weights surrounds the sleeve for movement therewith.

  • Patent number: 5624620
Abstract: The invention is to apparatus and method for a plasticizing batch process used in manufacturing building materials such as sheet goods, roofing shingles, and various sizes of dimensional lumber products. Recycled waste plastics and other not plastic materials are used in a batch process to plasticize the waste materials into a mixture used in molding various products. A intensive mixture mixes and plasticizes the waste materials of a predetermined weight until the plasticized mixture reaches a predetermine temperature. The material is then expelled to a material mover to dispense the plasticized material by weight to molds in which the plasticized material is pressed to form various products.

  • Patent number: 5596974
Abstract: The invention is to a system in which a high voltage source is connected to and continuously supplies a RF voltage to each spark plug wire in an automotive ignition. The high voltage is capacitively connected by placing a metal clip on each spark plug wire and connecting the high voltage source to the metal clips. The metal clip and conductor in the spark plug wire forms the two plates for the capacitor and the insulating material on the spark plug wire is the dielectric of the capacitor. The application of the high voltage to the spark plug wire produces a continuous corona discharge at the tip of the spark plug internal to the engine. A corona discharge surface may also be on one surface of the engine head in the combustion chamber.
