  • Patent number: 5564703
Abstract: The invention is to a puzzle toy which includes a solid body having a plurality of bore holes extending completely through the solid body such that each bore hole extends between two faces of the solid body. Some of the bore holes intersect with other bore holes such that pins inserted into the bore holes would interfere with at least one other pin in a bore hole. Some of the pins have at least one notch along its length to allow an interfering pin to partially pass through without interference. Each pin extends through a slide that moves the pin to one side after it is removed from its respective hole.

  • Patent number: 5525960
Abstract: A system for monitoring the steady state condition of a motor vehicle shock absorber is used to identify conditions in which a tire may be under- or over-inflated, or in which a shock absorber needs adjustment or replacing. A device for measuring distance, such as a measuring tape, is affixed along the length of a movable portion of a shock absorber, and is monitored by a shock absorber sensor, which is mounted in a fixed position relative to the measuring device. The vertical distance through which the movable portion of the shock absorber moves and the velocity of the oscillations of said movable portion is thereby monitored, and data is transmitted from the sensor to a circuit for transforming said data into a visual display for visual monitoring by the vehicle driver. Said data is further sent through a comparator circuit for comparing to other data received simultaneously from at least one other sensor similarly mounted in relation to another shock absorber of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5518350
Abstract: The invention is to a flexible connector for attaching license plates to a vehicle, where the license plate is subject to being hit or moved over objects that would damage the license plate. The connection incudes a spring and plunger in a main body. The plunger has a flexible arm formed thereon which has a key end that connects to a knob. The flexible arm extends through holes in the license plate and a mounting frame and holds the license plate secured to the frame by the knob attached to the key on the flexible arm. When the license plate is hit or moved, the plunger will compress the spring allowing the flexible arm to extend out of the body and flex sufficiently to allow the license plate to move with the force striking it.
