Abstract: A method of making a golf club head and golf club heads produced by the mehtod which involves filling a mold with material selected from the group consisting of metal powders, castings, wrought metal, and green compact metal powders and combinations thereof so as to achieve the desired properties in the particular areas of the club head, compressing the material in the mold to form a green compact of the material, removing the green compact of the material from the mold and then heating the green compact to an elevated temperature to form a sintered product. Thereafter, the sintered product may be further heated under pressure to improve its density.
Abstract: This invention concerns a method and an apparatus for auditing the means used for extracting an aliquot of a bulk material from its mass for measurement of one or more characteristics of said bulk material, especially during handling or processing, and involves concurrently measuring one or more variables which affect the accuracy or the reliability of said means used for making the extraction to produce an aliquot with the same characteristics as the mass from which the extraction was made.
Abstract: The present invention involves a method and an apparatus which utilizes a porous open cell structure in which seeds may germinate and plants root and be provided with appropriate nutrients and water until they are mature enough to be transplanted. At that time the entire porous open cell structure, which is in the form of a flat, may be cut into individual units, each individual unit containing one or more plants centered therein. Thus the separated individual units may then be transplanted into various receptacles including conventional individual plastic flats which are in the condition found in most greenhouses and purchased by individual buyers.
Abstract: This invention concerns a method and an apparatus for auditing the means used for extracting an aliquot of a bulk material from its mass for measurement of one or more characteristics of said bulk material, especially during handling or processing, and involves concurrently measuring one or more variables which affect the accuracy or the reliablity of said means used for making the extraction to produce an aliquot with the same characteristics as the mass from which the extraction was made.
Abstract: A light base and transformer housing to house an isolation transformer and to be used as a mounting base for airport mavigational lights comprising a unitary housing made from a noncorrosive material provided with external vertically extending fluted indentations so that said housing will have greater compressive strength and will resist movement in the ground when installed therein and after concrete or bitumen has been poured around said housing.
Abstract: A perimeter securement assembly for a roof deck covered with a waterproofing membrane and an apertured overlay thereover comprises a coved base member adapted to be positioned along the periphery of the roof with the waterproofing membrane extending thereof and secured therein by means of a resilient member which hold the membrane in the coved portion. In one version the apertured overlay is provided with openings along its selvage edge, said openings engaging the one end of an S-shaped hook, the other end of said hook engaging the coved base member and being held in place by the resilient means. In another version a continuous flat hook-shaped member extends over the membrane and the coved base member, is held in place by resilient means, and is attached to the selvage edge of the apertured overlay by means of heat welding.
Abstract: A mobile device for forcing a highway post into the ground in the vertical position, especially where the highway post is flexible and made of fiberglass, which involves a vertical column spaced from and supported by the mobile device, guide means mounted on the vertical column to hold a reflective highway post in a vertical position while the post is forced into the ground by repetitive blows from a hydraulically driven hammer and means for moving the vertical column and the guide means upwards in a vertical direction when the post has been forced a sufficient distance into the ground.

Abstract: A sheath core fiber having an inner continuous core made from an oriented thermoplastic material, such as polyester, nylon, acrylic, and olefin completely surrounded by an adherent continuous sheath which is not readily removable from said core, is retained on said core during ultimate usage of said fiber, and is made of a nonthermoplastic material, such as regenerated cellulose and protein. The fiber maintains the crease and tear resistance of the core material, yet has the water sorptivity and dyeability of the sheath material.A method of manufacturing such a fiber is also disclosed.
Abstract: This invention is directed to a cheap, disposable combination sterile pad support and lancet which may be used in connection with drawing blood for various tests including stat glucose levels for diabetics cholesterol determinations and others. It includes means for reinserting the lancet in the support following usage so that no individual will come in contact with the pointed end of the lancet. The sterile pad may be used to disinfect the end of the finger and then the lancet may be used to stick the finger to draw blood and the sterile pad may also be used on the stick site firmly thus aiding the blood clotting time after the drop of blood has been removed.

Abstract: A connector for use in connecting a push-on bell-type pipe joint together which comprises two legs positioned at right angles to each other, one of which may be welded to the surface of the male member and the other of which may be welded to the edge of the bell of the female member, the leg attached to the male member being rotated so that the other leg being attached to the female member will readily engage the female member.
Abstract: An oral irrigator for lavaging all of the gingival crevice including the interdental area of the gums, provided with a tip at the end of a probe for separating the gum part known as the gingival collar from the facial or linqual and interproximal sides of the tooth and having a steady flow of antimicrobial fluid expelled from a zone surrounding said tip. Also shown is such an oral irrigator in combination with a tap water, pressure operated, germicidal-containing container forcing germicidal fluid through said oral irrigator tip, and with a tap water syphon delivery system.
Abstract: An apparatus for the practicing of golf swings utilizing a beam from the forehead of the user coordinated with the swing of an actual golf club in contact with a golf ball, or simulated golf club in contact with a simulated golf ball. In the case of the simulated unit which may be used indoors, details of club head registry, swing, follow through, and distance the ball travels are displayed and recorded.
Abstract: A process and product produced thereby which involves subjecting an egg white product to turbulent flow at an elevated temperature not to exceed 162.degree. F. for a period of time not to exceed one minute followed by immediate rapid cooling to a temperature of from 25.degree. F. to 40.degree. F. to improve refrigerated shelf life. The chilled product is then filled and sealed in sterilized containers under aseptic or near sterile conditions. The refrigerated shelf life may be enhanced by freezing the packaged product for a finite period of time prior to placing it in refrigerated storage.
Abstract: A connector for use in connecting a push-on mechanical bell-type pipe joint or butt-type joint together which comprises two legs positioned at right angles to each other, one of which may be welded to the surface of the male member and the other of which may be welded to the edge of the gland holding the gasket used in place, the leg attached to the male member being rotated so that the other leg being attached to the gland will readily engage the gland.
