Abstract: A bag for collecting waste material from a cutting machine is disclosed. The bag has a closed end and an open end, the open end arranged to fit within the base of the machine from which the waste is ejected. Means for supporting the bag and means for sealing the outer surface of the bag against the inner surface of the base are included in the design as well as an optional drawstring for reducing the circumference of the open end.
Abstract: A disc used for the replay and protection of phonograph records on an automatic changer is disclosed which disc has a center hole and a keyway extending therefrom allowing the disc to slide down the changer spindle when the keyway is aligned with the spindle record release lever or to remain atop the spindle when the keyway is misaligned with the release lever.
Abstract: A unitized fiber-reinforced plastic boat hull frame is disclosed in which the structural members, most commonly a keel and ribs, comprising the frame are constructed of fiber-reinforced plastic formed within a mold corresponding to the shapes of the various members. The members are attached to one another by either contacting them together prior to the completion of curing to produce a plastic bond, or with appropriate adhesives after curing. Planking comprised of any suitable material, wood for example, is added to complete the hull.
Abstract: A gasket for preventing fluid flow from the interior to the exterior of a chamber is disclosed in which tab members or projections from a body portion lockingly cooperate with corresponding recesses in the chamber wall. Transverse openings in the gasket body allow access to the interior of the chamber. The apparatus is particularly applicable as a means for sealing an electrode terminal extending from the interior to the exterior of an electrodialysis filter press stack.
Abstract: A liquid flow distribution screen is disclosed in which two sets of spaced apart strands are oriented at an angle to each other to form a mesh screen. A portion of the screen is composed of areas in which the two sets of strands are more or less of the same thickness and the remaining portion composed of strands in which one of the sets is of greater thickness than the other, resulting in the creation of liquid flow channels between and among the channels. Using this concept, any desired flow pattern may be achieved when the screen is placed between two surface barriers. The device is particularly suited as a membrane support and spacer in electrodialysis or electrochemical apparatus.

Abstract: A miniature image viewer having a variable field of view, variable magnification lens assembly is disclosed. The assembly is scannable over the surface of the image to view successive portions which have information not normally discernable to the human eye. The assembly may comprise a zoom lens system or two or more independent lenses, at least one of which is moveable in and out of the field of view of the other.
