Abstract: Portable safety side shields made from a flexible plastic that will slip onto a wide variety of eyeglasses. An eyeglass temple piece is weaved through slots in the side of a side shield for attachment to the wearer's temple. The slots in the side shield are long enough to allow attachment to eyeglasses with different pantoscopic angles. The side shield overlaps the front portion of an eyeglass frame, sealing the side shield against the eyeglass frame and preventing the side shield from sliding backward.
Abstract: An outdoor planter system with a central opening through which a plant may grow. The planter portion surrounding the central opening is inwardly and downwardly sloped, generally impervious to liquid and light, and thereby directs liquid to the central opening while simultaneously preventing undesirable growth of weeds and the like about a central plant. The outer perimeter of the planter has several keyways for removably attachment of a planter cover. The keyways are also adapted to receive plant growing or animal protection cages.
Abstract: An adjustable ramped and horizontal stretching bench device for relieving spinal and muscle conditions contributing to lower back pain. The stretching bench has a horizontal forward portion and a ramped rearward portion. The effective overall length of the stretching bench is adjustable to accommodate persons of different lengths and different relationships between body length and leg length. The angle between the forward portion and rearward portion is adjustable from zero degrees to forty-five degrees.
Abstract: A water-tight, streamlined storage pack, removably attached to a kayak deck and accessible by a kayak operator during kayak operation. The present invention pack also provides lighting and fishing rod holders.
Abstract: A method of forming a toroid coil on a toroidal body. Ferrous material is attached to conductive wire. Magnetic force is then used to manipulate the conductive wire about the toroid core.
Abstract: A lock with a cam action joined to a cylindrical assembly with a front portion adapted to being inserted into a computer chassis security slot. The cylindrical assembly front portion is comprised of two levers each terminating in a hook. The levers are pivotally attached to the cylindrical assembly and are pivoted within the security slot by the cam action of the lock.
Abstract: A semi-enclosed pouring chute attachment for a wheelbarrow. The attachment sits on the front of the wheelbarrow and is secured by upper side channels and either rope of shock/bungee cords from the sides of the attachment to the handles of the wheelbarrow. In an alternate embodiment, the wheelbarrow container may have a funnel end as an integral part thereof.
Abstract: A media used in conjunction with any system than is comprised at least of a septic or anoxic tank followed by an aerobic or alternating aerobic/anoxic treatment unit that is providing nitrification. The media enhances denitrification of effluent that has been recycled from the nitrification unit to the anoxic tank. The is comprised of a number of synthetic cords with a specific gravity less than the specific gravity of the effluent. The cords are attached to the bottom of the septic or anoxic tank. The cords will float in the liquid flow stream of the septic/anoxic tank providing a number of surfaces for fixed film organisms.
Abstract: A high shear rotating disc filter having a hollow interior and constructed of a porous material such as sintered metal or ceramic with finely structured openings. The disc is mounted and secured onto a hollow shaft. The hollow shaft is connected to a vacuum source, external to the filter, that allows for the passage of the filtrate to a receiver. There are elongated slots in the wall of the shaft which provide the passage of filtrate from the disc. The shaft provides rotational force for the discs.
Abstract: A shaped, decorative pergola vinyl end cap and end piece, a method of shaping pergola vinyl component ends, and a portable tool used for shaping pergola vinyl component ends.
Abstract: A center motor driven stabilizer jack having a motor driven slip differential which drives a left and a right thread screw lowering attached stabilizer legs which adjust and compensate for uneven terrain at the same time. The stabilizer jack slip differential, motor and the thread screws are mounted horizontally providing a low profile. The center drive system creates a beam style support the stabilizer legs to be moved further out for greater stability.
Abstract: A money dispensing machine with a tiltable screen module. The tiltable screen display module has two side handles for vertically tilting the face of the screen. Each tiltable display side has a heavy duty pivot mechanism fitted with a torque limiting device to provide constant friction resistance, each said pivot mechanism adapted to engage a display module side.
Abstract: A compensator added to the hydraulic circuit of an ocean profiler. The compensator stores energy by compression of gas during descent and expansion of the gas during ascent, thereby reducing the work required of the active buoyancy mechanism. The pressure from the external liquid medium in which the vehicle is submerged provides the energy, a portion of which is stored within the compensator.
Abstract: A vehicle with a self-contained cooling and heating capability and a tenting feature for sheltering and controlling the temperature at a given location. Warm air is directed out of a heat chamber through a telescopic tube arrangement which may be horizontally piovoted for improved heat direction. The tube arrangement may also be vertically tipped upwardly and downwardly to maximize directional control of heat output. Heat for melting snow may thereby be directed to specific locations. The tenting arrangement provides elevated and focused heating and little heat waste.
Abstract: A removable tube within each junction box interconnecting conduit pipes thereby providing a travel-smooth path for fish tapes through a junction box. Each guide tube has a ring near each end providing an insertion limit into a conduit. Each tube has a perforated score line along its length for easy removal after wire installation.
