Abstract: A method for statically checking an object-oriented computer program module includes the step of identifying objects within a computer program module, at least one of the objects having a plurality of references thereto, possibly from multiple clients. A discipline of permissions is imposed on the objects identified within the computer program module. The permissions enable tracking, from among a discrete set of changeable states, a subset of states each object might be in. A determination is made regarding whether the imposed permissions are violated by a potential reference to any of the identified objects. The results of the determination are output to a user.
Abstract: Systems configured to provide applications style functionality to at least one user, the systems comprising: at least one user device that includes at least one receiver for receiving data comprising a series of linked states plus additional data associated with each state, the additional data comprising, storage instructions and display instructions; and at least one decoder to decode the received data and cache each state and its corresponding display instructions in accordance with the storage instructions. The systems may also comprise: at least one server configured to communicate with the at least one user device that includes a processor for interpreting the execution of an application or rendering of a state and expressing it as a series of states through which the at least one user device may navigate to create the appearance of executing an application or browsing web content.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are analogs of tetrahydrobiopterin, compositions containing the same, and methods of treating an individual suffering from a condition responsive to tetrahydrobiopterin by administration of the analog. These analogs are contemplated for use wherever tetrahydrobiopterin is currently used to treat conditions responsive to tetrahydrobiopterin therapies.
Abstract: An ingredient suitable for use in the manufacture of specialty margarines and bakery shortenings with nutritional and functional benefits is the reaction product of a phytosterol material esterified with a saturated fatty acid material. The reaction product is substantially solid at ambient temperature, and thus is suitable for use as an ingredient in solid shortening products, yet without the adverse health effects believed to be associated with saturated fatty acids. In the method of making the product, the esterification reaction is carried out at elevated temperatures, under vacuum, and for a relatively longer duration than prior art procedures. The esterification reaction may be carried out in the presence of a catalyst and optionally, high oleic canola oil. The reaction product is neutralized, then filtered at least once and preferably twice to remove any residual catalyst.

Abstract: Methods, computer systems, and computer readable medium for testing a plurality of models in order to classify a biological specimen. A determination is made as to whether a model precondition associated with a model in the plurality of models has been satisfied. The model is skipped when the model precondition has not been satisfied. When the model precondition has been satisfied, the first model is tested by selecting a calculation from the first model. The selected calculation is computed using cellular constituent abundance values from the biological specimen in accordance with a calculation algorithm set forth in the selected model. This selecting and computing is repeated for one or more calculations in the selected model. Then, each of these calculations is aggregated in accordance with an aggregation algorithm associated with the selected model. These steps are repeated for at least one other model in the plurality of models.

Abstract: A method includes setting, by a mobile device, a notification based on the mobile device being within proximity of a predetermined location at a predetermined date or time. The mobile device detects that the mobile device is located within proximity of the predetermined location at the predetermined date or time. Subsequent to the detecting, the mobile device provides the notification.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to coating formulations for neodymium-iron-boron type magnetic powders manufactured from rapid solidification processes for the purpose, inter alia, of corrosion and oxidation resistance when exposed to aggressive environments. The coating formulation preferably contains an epoxy binder, curing agent, an accelerating agent, and a lubricant. By incorporating coupling agents and optionally, other specialty additives with the magnetic powder and the organic epoxy components, additional oxidation and corrosion prevention, enhanced adhesion and dispersion between the filler and matrix phases can be achieved. This disclosure relates to all such rare earth-transition metal-boron (RE-TM-B) powders produced by rapid solidification and encompasses both the bonded magnet products that include combinations of the materials mentioned and the application processes.
Abstract: A peptide includes SEQ ID NO:3, substitution and addition variants thereof which maintain the ability to activate CD44. A complex includes this peptide or an ?6 polypeptide with a CD44 polypeptide. An isolated polypeptide includes the Link region sequence of human CD44, functionally active fragments thereof, substitution variants, and addition variants. A method of treating a disease characterized by aberrant cell migration and/or invasion includes administering to a subject an effective amount of the peptide of SEQ ID NO:3 or an ?6 polypeptide to bind to a CD44 polypeptide and modulate signal transduction activity for a sufficient period of time to treat the disease. Other methods include using the peptide of SEQ ID NO:3 or an ?6 polypeptide for diagnosing, identifying a subpopulation of subjects responsive to treatment, and screening for compounds that bind a CD44 polypeptide.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing secure transmission of software code, which includes a mathematical function, from a first computer to a second computer so that the mathematical function's content cannot be determined at the second computer. A method includes generating a secure container, where the secure container includes an encrypted representation of the mathematical function and metadata identifying the mathematical function encrypted in the secure container. The method further includes providing the secure container from the first computer to the second computer over a communication transmission medium, where the secure container is accessed at the second computer using the metadata to identify the mathematical function, and where the mathematical function contained within the secure container is decrypted and incorporated into program code in a compiled form so that the mathematical function can be used but the mathematical function's content cannot be determined at the second computer.

Abstract: A system for video compositing is comprised of a storage device for storing a composite timeline file. A timeline manager reads rendering instructions and compositing instructions from the stored file. A plurality of filter graphs, each receiving one of a plurality of video streams, renders frames therefrom in response to the rendering instructions. 3D hardware is responsive to the rendered frames and the compositing instructions for creating a composite image. A frame scheduler is responsive to the plurality of filter graphs for controlling the frequency at which the 3D hardware creates a new composite image. An output is provided for displaying the composite image. Methods of generating a composite work and methods of generating the timeline file are also disclosed. Because of the rules governing abstracts, this Abstract should not be used to construe the claims.
