  • Patent number: 6516451
Abstract: A computer process used to create a report to check a proposed project to insure conformity with existing standards. The software used utilizes a diagrammatic design program which allows creation of a model while checking compliance with the standard used in the proposed project. In the preferred embodiment example given, the method would first create a new project or open an existing project. Thereafter, the user would select a list of modules from rules algorithms for standards relating to the created or opened existing project. Next, the project would be designed by adding component parts and modifying their properties while maintaining compliance with the selected standards. Finally, a report, whether checklists, graphical layouts with dimensions or worksheets that enable the user to create a dimensioned graphical layout, would be created to demonstrate compliance with the selected standard.

  • Patent number: 6482138
Abstract: An exercise device having a hollow housing that can be fixed to a horizontally disposed support surface by a first external clamp. Extending from the housing is a handle with a first shaft that extends into the housing. Within the housing on the first shaft is a disk fixed to the shaft that rotates with the shaft. As a user rotates the handle its shaft and disk rotate in unison. A resistive force control handle also extends from the housing has its own second shaft extending within the housing. This second shaft mounts a second member consisting of two disk engaging rollers whose resistance to rotation can be adjusted. As the rollers resistance to rotation is increased against the engage disk's surface more force is needed to move the external handle on the disk's shaft. One roller engages the top of the disk while another engages the bottom of the disk. Two pairs of arms are joined at one end to a movable shaft while the other end has a roller at each one of the pairs of arms.

  • Patent number: 6468612
Abstract: A light weight plastic cover for a snowmobile that is locked in place on an enclosed snowmobile by a pair of lower bars. The cover is a hollow plastic molded cover which has two spaced pairs of through side holes located near its opened bottom. A plastic bar fits into each pair of aligned through holes and under the snowmobile. Each bar end and has a removable end nut. The cover has an opened bottom and a canvas material may be added to cover this bottom. Two holed rolled ends on the bottom material act to receive the retaining bars to form a complete cover enclosure. The snowmobile is confined within the formed enclosure with the bars locked in place near its bottom. The upper surface of the cover may have two ski surfaces molded into it. By turning the cover upside down, these cover skis surfaces engage the ground which then allow the cover's top surface to act as a sled to be pulled by the snowmobile, by hand or any other means desired.

  • Patent number: 6463724
Abstract: A device for collecting and dumping Bermuda grass sprigs and disposing of grass clippings and other debris having a frame, an undercarriage, side rails, and rear frame members, defining an interior space. The frame is set on wheels mounted near the rear of the undercarriage, such that the device may be towed behind self-propelled power equipment. A receptacle is pivotally mounted in the space defined by the frame members. A channel conveys airborne debris particles from the mower or other power equipment into the receptacle for collection. The upper, rear edge of the receptacle is hingedly attached to the lateral rear frame member, such that the receptacle may be rotated backwards to empty its contents. At least one extendible, hydraulic arm is fixedly mounted at one end to the frame, and pivotally connected at the other end to the side wall of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 6457764
Abstract: A vehicle whose cargo compartment can be opened or enclosed. The cargo compartment has a retractable top cover which can engage an extended tail gate door. Raised sides of the cargo compartment are fitted with outside side doors leading to storage compartments, shelves and trays for small items. Within the main cargo compartment cleats are mounted to the side walls. These cleats may be used to tie down objects within the compartment or to engage side hooks on partitions to form multiple storage layers. The number and spacing of the cleats along the walls may vary as desired to form different configurations of partitions. The rear tail gate has an extended portion which fits telescopingly into the lower portion of the tail gate. When this extended portion is fully raised to engage the closed top cover, the main cargo compartment is fully enclosed. The top cover may slide on side rails and may be manually or powered to retract or extend.
